Stuck on last boss!! Delta difficulty

It's been a breeze up until this point. There was a video posted in the Roadmap/Guide for this specific part as well. I'll include it below, you'll see around the 1min mark that he takes cover in the downed plane -- however this is not possible on the Xbox 360 version, there's an invisible barrier that does not let you enter the plane like seen in the video.

So I just get blasted and die. Rather frustrating as I am at the end. Has anyone beaten this on consoles, and if so, any tips for this part?

This method does not appear to work on Xbox 360...

Crisis averted. Instead of making use of that spot as a safe point, I merely used the cover just to take out the flying things, and listen out for the blue beam strike from the mother ship, as soon as you hear that, plonk the active camo on and sprint far away, TAC cannon blast one side, return and repeat.
