A player’s Mental State will no longer increase when killing hostile mercenaries. Also, the increase rate for killing Cops who are chasing the player as a result of being wanted has been reduced.

That I'm glad about. Was doing the award for duration with a 5 star level and every time I tried and kept killing cops at the end I was always red

I'm glad of the DLC and can't wait to try out the monster truck. Only decision now is what vehicle to drop for it. Also happy to see that they are trying to fix the glitches and exploits.

Bounties have a skull, but it is harder to tell the difference seeing as both are red.


I have notice my mental state keeps resetting when leaving and then coming back to GTA Online. Before it would gradually decrease with passive activity. I think this is the same for everyone as in the public lobbies I have seen many people as white markers going around terrorising people. This new feature reduces the effect of the whole mental state as the psycho's will not always be clear again. The previous situation with passive activity over a longer period was more clearer at least for me to distinguish the aggressive from the passive.

Do you know if the "only person in the lobby" restriction applies to other things as well such as crate drops? Haven't seen one when I'm on my own. I do know that the money vans spawn.

I have no idea what's with all the other stuff. I have seen Simeon's green cars when alone a couple times before, while I haven't seen a crate drop since before Beach Bum came out (which would appear while alone all the time).

Guys quick question:

I don't know if this was already in 1.14 but I got a random call from Lester to take out a target for him in a public session!? It was a NPC, took it down and got $3.000 as a reward but still a wanted level and bad mental state. It's alright but for only 3k not really worth it.

am I on my own when I say GTA online isn't working for me?

been trying to get on and twice ive sat here for about 10 mins with it saying "joining GTA online" only to have it kick me back to single player due to network error :/

The Firework launcher is fun, seems to do quite a bit of damage to people on foot (spreads quite a bit of fire too).

The Musket is the most pointless weapon ever, though it's amusing having shoot outs with other people who are using it.

As I said above, I've noticed this showing up today for the first time, I wonder why R* didn't mention it in the patch note (unless they did and I'm just blind as usual)!

I've been getting a bit over $7k each time, not too bad while I'm collecting cars for Simeon and/or hunting bounties.
Don't notice any bad mental state effect, as I'm already as psycho as I can go!

They pretty much always have things they add/change that they don't mention. Like with 1.14, you have to actually escort the people in missions like Defender and Holed Up - Burton now, instead of them getting there on their own, even after everything is clear. Or how one of the patches (I don't remember which) removed the compensation for paint jobs when selling cars to Simeon (it used to be you'd get 1.5x the LSC value plus the cost of the paint job used, while now it's just 1.5x LSC (so don't use just any paint job, else you may lose money)).

Although it is odd, as this is something people will notice, even if they aren't paying too much attention, and it is a positive change.

I definitely remember the removal of payment for the paint job on high priority vehicles being mentioned on the patch notes, don't know about the escort mission changes though.

So far I played HARD LABOR (never again) and PICKUP STICKS (FUCK THAT MISSION - NO LACTION POINT FOR ALTRUISTS CAMP up my ass), only missing TIME TO GET AWAY from all of the new contact-missions!

Another word to Pickup Sticks, man this mission isn't fun at all and really really sucks, did it with another random player on HARD and I used like 20+ super heavy vestes had to make a quick stop at ammunation. For:

$9.000 (Hard) and 3.870RP NOT WORTH IT THE TROUBLE!!!

You always have to change the paint of the vehicle before taking it to Simeon and it has to be Primary Paint, I once tried Secondary and that didn't work. Cheapest Primary paint job I could find was $780 there are a few colours at that price. If there is another cheaper way please let me know.


The 1.5 LSC value has not been applied when I take cars to Simeon. I get all sorts of different valuations. I thought it was dependent on the value of the vehicle, but I have had some cheap vehicles go for well over $10k and some expensive vehicles going for under $5k. I personally can't work out what scale/value they are putting on the vehicles.

How long ago was that though? After extensive testing, I came up with the 1.5x figure, as that's what it always came out to. If you did it back when you got compensated for the paint job, you may have gotten well over $10k.

How'd you get like $7k? My highest was $3.400. Is it like random payment same with the armored trucks!? Or the faster the more?

First public lobby I went into I saw NPC red circle and took out the guy to get $3.3k then later on I got a text and swiftly took out the NPC and got $7.7k. Works out together at a nice round $10k and I wonder if the sum paid is dependent on how quickly the NPC is taken down.

Also wonder is like the green vehicles for Simeon if it will appear in private lobbies or does it have to be public like the crates and special crates.

I had around $1.5m yesterday and after buying everything apart from the bike, property and face paint I was left with $100k.

Anyone know what's up with the beer helmet? The game gives it as a hat option for my female character but not my male character. Am I missing something, like a certain haircut, outfit, or something?
