Xbox 360 is all about high definition, and that means even the smaller Japanese developers that aren't known for intense visuals are pumping out their first 720p titles. Awww.... isn't that just cute? Idea Factory is one such developer. The company most known for its "Neverland" titles on the PS2 is hard at work on Spectral Force 3: Innocent Rage for the Xbox 360. Screenshots of the game (check out Impress Watch for medium-res pics) resemble a PS2 game with excellent image quality and high definition support, but we're sure the die-hard fans who want to keep up on all things Neverland won't mind.

Innocent Rage, like the previous PS2 Spectral Force titles, takes place in fantasy world of Neverland, detailing the First Neverland War. You play as a young soldier in a mercenary group that's not affiliated with any particular government, instead opting to take on jobs from any of the 10 countries that divide Neverland. The game presents the Neverland story from a new perspective.

Playing as this young mercenary, you get to make decisions about which jobs you'd like to undertake. Based on your performance, you can actually effect the power of the country that hired you. Eventually, you'll earn a name for your prowess as a mercenary and will be entrusted with more advanced missions, such as raiding a castle.

Gameplay promises to resemble the simulation-based gameplay of PS2's Spectral Force Chronicle, with three levels of attack strength and combination attack moves. Xbox Live support is also planned, but details have yet to be revealed.

Given that the PS2 Spectral Force games never made it to America, don't count on seeing this one either, especially since minus the high def, it will probably more closely resemble a PS2 title as far as visuals are concerned. Those with a Japanese Xbox 360 can look forward to a Japanese release in April.
