Ego Trip/Super Star

Does anyone have any tips for the Ego Trip achievement?

Also, how many EC Stars are there for the super star achievement?

For Ego Trip, just keep playing, starting with the 4th and 5th grade questions. You'll eventually get a whole set of easy trivia. (When I got the ach. the hardest question was, "Who wrote Huckleberry Finn?")

Does pausing the game stop the 5 minute timer?

Like.. If I pick a question, read it fast, and then pause the game to figure out the answer, will that work? Or is it just as soon as Jeff starts talkin you have to get the mill in 5 minutes?

Just a random thought. Could work, could epically fail....

I believe it's 5 minutes total....(counting jeff talking, students walking to and from podium, pausing). Pausing the game doesn't stop the timer

Wow, that sounds ridiculous..

So basicly you have about 5 seconds with each question.. if that..

Awesome...

Re:

No...not exactly...just try to answer them as fast as you can....I answered the ones I knew for sure as quick as possible...if I wasn't sure then I used 1 of my 3 cheats.....out of the 10 questions..only 2 or 3 are iffy anyways....so using that method...you should be OK....On final question....I actually paused and "Ask Search" the answer and still got the achievement

Can anyone else confirm the "starting with 4th or 5th grade" questions will give you easier trivia? I mean it makes sense, and the games not hard, its just annoying as hell sometimes and I want the full 200..

Any input would help, this is the only achievement I'm gonna have trouble with

I tried starting on the fifth grade questions and working my way down to the first but I found it uses more time because if you start on the first grade and answer what it puts you on by just speeding through everything by hitting the a button, seems faster than having to move up to the question you want. I got all the questions right and had my wife google the million dollar question for me. took about two dozen tries though.

In my experience, it didn't make much of a difference when I selected the 4th and 5th grade questions. If the question was going to be difficult, it was hard no matter when I picked it.

Ive been playing for almost an hour now and it seems that there arent many actual questions in the game because ive been running into repeated questions. I say just go for your stars first and by doing that famiiliarize yourself with the answers to the questions because you will see it again.

you can skip through a lot, but not all of his talking. if you hit the A button you'll free yourself up a lot of time.

I had to borrow a friends keypad thingy for my controller because I'm SO slow at the keyboard they give you to type out your answer.

Pausing the games still counts tward the 5 min. I found that getting rid of all my cheats saved me a lot of time. instead of having to stop every other question and pick another student you can just play through. once all cheats are used then work top to bottom. The questions are the same just mentally it seems easier because of the kinds of questions asked.

Any thoughts on the difficulty of getting all the extra credit stars? As you fill up the Extra Credit list, will the game give you questions where you lack stars, or will it keep giving you categories you've already got five stars for?
