Introduction:
Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL is a brawler game, much like that of the Super Smash Brothers series, popular on Nintendo consoles. Originally on the Nintendo DS, Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion was such a success that they decided to bring it to consoles, landing on the PS3, 360, and Wii, this time bearing more characters, levels, and assists. The game features many Cartoon Network favorites, such as Johnny Bravo, Ben 10, and Samurai Jack, and throws them into battle, where each character fights to win using attacks, items, assists, and the notorious Punch Time Explosion. With a sturdy Story mode, a ladder arcade mode, and multiple local multiplayer gametypes, Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL is a great addition to the Xbox 360.

Breakdown:
The lengthiest part of the game is the Story, which can be completed within 6 hours, if that. I suggest you play on hard, as its not much more difficult than easy. It may give you trouble around a few parts, but hang in there. Experienced Super Smash Bros. players will quickly get the hang of this, and should breeze through story. After that theres quite multiplayer achievements, but all can easily be done within an hour and a half.

Story Mode (19 achievements for 520)<Recommend 1 playthrough>
Before i start explaining the story, I want to share my controls. The controls when you start are iffy, and you have to go out of the way for some of the commands. I found my set up easy to use, and it being based off a lot of aspects of Super Smash. This is optional, I just think it would help some people.

- Grab/Pickup
- Attack
- Sig Attack
- Attack
- PTE Attack
- Shield
- PTE Attack
- Jump
- Switch/Catch-Up (Co-op)

The achievements for story are pretty simple. Most cannot be missed, one is for beating the game, and another for beating the game on Hard, which i suggest you play on first. The game is pretty straight forward. The game is mostly "Get from point A, to point B," with a few 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 battles thrown in the mix, and a dash of 2 protecting missions as well. You are awarded points for each level, which you can use to buy new levels, maps, clips, and costumes. I suggest you focus on Story Mode first, and dont spend any points until you get the "Its over 9000!" achievement.
That being said, I would also advise you to kill every enemy you can on each level, and be as cautious as possible, to try to net as many points on each level until you get the "Big Money!" achievement, for getting over 1000 points on any level. After that, on any level that isnt a battle, I suggest blasting right through the level, ignoring any enemies. The game will go by a lot faster.
Some levels have an achievement tied-in with the level, such as beating the level under a set amount of time, or completing it without dying. I would suggest to ignore these until after youve completed story, when you can play them on an easier difficulty, and after you unlock the necessary characters.

Multiplayer (26 achievements for 315)
This will be the most repetitive part of the game. Most of these require you to win a certain amount of matches with a character, in a certain costume. It can be a bit tedious at times, but 10 matches will only take 15 minutes using a method ill post a little further down. Other achievements are for activating a certain assist with someone, or against someone, or for killing a certain number of people with someones Punch Time Explosion, or PTE.

Miscellaneous (5 for 165)
Everything you do in the game will net you Points. With those points you can unlock characters, levels, costumes, and clips. Unlocking all the characters, levels, and costumes, will each unlock you an achievement, while storing over 9000 points at once and getting over 1000 in a single level will both unlock you the last 2 achievements.

Conclusion:
Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL is a fairly easy game for the 360, and should not be too much of a hassle for an average gamer.
