Tips For Getting To 300 Not Out...

Ive tried many many many times for this now. I cant get to 300.

I've been at: 264, 211, 231,199 and alot more then just do stupid batting at loose.

I have no idea how to get so high. I use ponting and avg. 28 runs per wicket. its fine until i get around 200+ then i just flop.

Any tips for me?

Anyone who needs this too. we could boost if you like?

Got this like 30min ago :P

Did it with paul collinwood 497 runs , got about 4 achievements with it

Just all ways use the A button, never go for 6s its just not worth it,

Aim for the gaps, i prefer to hit the ball leg side unless they blocked the gaps which i switch to off stump

dont make any risky runs, 90% of your points should come from 4s anyway

Also dont bother with the front foot or back foot or the advance (its also not worth it) just use the standard

Last tip, to quicken the process on your last ball with the batsmen hit a single so your other guy is at the crease then on the next over it will switch bk to the guy your using for the achievements

EDIT: o and for good measure put it on the easiest difficultly

Also got this about 1 hour after posting.. 516/0 dec. with Ricky Ponting.

Did opposite to what you said :L...

Always used B(held). Used advance when reticule thing was aimed for my feet. Only thing i did same was on last ball of over, hit it to the furthest boundry cover person (with A) and run for 1 so that my guy was next at crease for next over..

But i didnt unlock the 500 runs with a single batsman over an ashes series. So ill have to do it again

Shame about not getting the 500 one, luckly i already had a few 100s with collinwood as i moved him to my #2 batsmen so i got it

I only didnt use the advance and B because i didnt want to get to like right near the total and then feck it up,

I just wanted to play it safe, might take an extra 5min but its also easier

This might be a bit silly but why don't you guys just save the game and reload if you get out. I saved after every 40-50 runs and just reloaded if I got out. Had to reload about 5-6 times but that was it.

I got 500+ with Flintoff that way. Got all the major batting achievements except the 6 fours in a row.

i saved every about 100 runs for me and it unlocked fine made 652 not out with phil hughes, managed the 500 runs in one series achievement along the way as well. saving made the achievements in this game quite easy

^^Ditto.

Worked fine for me too. I saved constantly throught the Ashes and everything unlocked fine.

The golden duck one is a right bastard though. Very hard without boosting. That and 4 wickets off 4 balls.

here's how i got it

p hughes of aussie - 79 balls - 300 runs

every ball near enough i took as lt+lb+b

shift the batsmen to the onside

and whack away and soon the bowlers confidence will be low as anything.

remember to save regular too as you can go back but as the confidence of the bowlers goes down this is less and less likely to be needed.

Easiest difficulty, start a new test match, and then save every over other. If you get out, just restart from the last save.

theres no way you can really get 516/0 with one man. especially both openers, you might as well bat continously.

i got to 804/1 when i got cook to the 500. strauss out for 173 and towards the end of day one, i was just getting cook off strike and letting bopara bat out the overs by blocking. i then got him to over 100 as well.

also the 4 wickets in 4 balls is tough but graeme swann gives a lot of runs but gets wickets really quickly for me.

and everything unlocked when i reached said milestones
