What's Your Favorite Alien Videogame?

What's your favourite Alien-inspired videogame?

Mine would have to be Aliens: The Computer Game for the Commodore 64. What I really like about the game is how every level is different; piloting the dropship, getting the marines back to the APC, rescuing Newt, the final Queen battle, all following the events of the movie surprisingly well. Not to mention the badass main title theme!

easily all of the AvP games, there ace as you can be any of the three species, playing an alien is ace, playing a marine is also ace, but the predator is pure class...

I like most Alien games, but Alien vs. Predator 1 & 2 on the PC were fantastic. Alien vs. Predator Arcade was good too.

I've never played an Aliens game so Colonial Marines will be my first. I really hope it's as good as I think it'll be.

I almost bought Alien vs. Predator but I heard it wasn't very good and decided to skip it.

Aliens VS Predator: Arcade made by Capcom in 1994. One of the best beat em up side scrollers of all time. I'm still hoping they one day will release it on XBLA.

I havent really played them all except AvP arcade, Alien 3 nes, AvP snes, AvP Excinition PS2 and AvP Xbox 360.

What is wrong with AvP 360 version? Why so many people criticized on that game? The only two things I didnt like is pisspoor matchmaking which is awful and imbalance of multiplayer...let say if you are a marine, there is at least 4 Predators and Aliens combine throw against you in multiplayer then the greater odds are against you. You are more likely lose but I had no problem with it because Marine is a meat bait to them, if you learn how to use marine properly then you will be a killing machine.

I have gotten a lot of hate messages after they rage quit during the match. People always assumed that being a Marine is easy target to Predator and Alien which is not always the case.

I voted other because this one might be my favorite. Hoping it will be. I really dislike AvP (rather hard to 1K and the MP pissed me off) so I hope this will be a better experience. Coming from Gearbox, it should.

I will go with the first Aliens vs. Predator game simply because it offered the full Aliens experience. How fun was it stalking your prey, have them screaming in terror, and slicing their bodies into mincemeat?

Alien 3 was another one I enjoyed playing on the SNES, only let down by the terribly anti climatic "final boss" scene. If you can even call it a boss fight, that is.

I had pretty much forgot about this game until you mentioned it. I use to play the hell out of this when I was younger. I agree 100% with you on the ending of the game.

As far as favorite Alien game, it's a draw between Alien vs. Predator on the old Atari Jaguar and Alien vs. Predator 2 on the PC. Had a lot of fun playing multiplayer when AvP 2 came out.

I totally agree. I never played any of the other games that involved aliens nor predators, but i have to say i was quite satisfied with AVP for 360 as it offered a fresh experience compared to ur typical first person shooter. Each race played differently and required different strategies in order to succeed. I 1k the game and found nothing wrong with the campaign chieves and i consider myself to be an average shooter at best. Because nightmare difficulty dint allow checkpoints it really made my playthrough intense as every encounter with a predator while i was a marine was terrifying. Sure brought me back to my childhood when i was terrified of predator lol. Not gonna lie, he still does scare me a bit. Overall, i think AVP was a good game IMO. I did not regret the purchase at any point in time, however im not entirely sure if i will be picking up this game atm.

I remember the original AvP for PC was sold with a pair of underwear. That was a great promotion! I remember the game being pretty creepy too when you were playing as a marine. The most recent one on xbox was ok.

I've only played AvP on Xbox, played all three campaigns and only really enjoyed the Alien one, the human campaign was the most difficult for me. The only fun part was the multiplayer, like most people who played it on PC say it's fun, I wish I could have played the PC version would have been insane.
