Authorís Notes: This is my first guide. Please be gentle.
The truth is, this game doesnít really require too much skill. Itís about knowing when to press the right buttons and a fair amount of time and patients.
Step One: Practice Makes Perfect
Iíll recommend by starting off in Single Match on Rookie difficulty, so that you can get the hang of the game. Feel free to pick any team you want, it wonít really matter to be honest. Once you feel that you know what you are doing, put the difficulty up to Professional (Iíll suggest doing that once you get Itís A Drubbing and Storming Home). At First, it will bee more of a challenge, but it will get you prepared for the season achievements. You should be aiming to get Winners (Are Grinners) to start off with, if you canít do this on Rookie, then donít step up the difficulty just yet. Once you start winning by a fair amount, then switch over to professional. While practicing, thereís a high chance youíll earn a few other achievements like Poster, First Use and The Beautiful Game. Thereís also the chance youíll get Slippery When Met and Road Trip if you set up the games with the correct settings.
Step Two: Professional Season
Start up a season on Professional, with your choice of quarter length, injury level and team. I chose Fremantle (tallest ruckman in the league) and 3 minute quarters. The Professionals and Amateurís Hour are stackable, so thereís no need to play it through on Amateur (unless you want to). Just remember, DO NOT SIMULATE. Doing that will void the purpose of the season. It will also void Set For September.
Step Three: Legendary
Once youíve completed The Professionals, its time for the real challenge. Legendary. This achievement has you play with Extreme injuries on and 20 minutes a quarter, so it does take a while. Just do what ever you did on professional and more. This is the longest achievement in the game other than Lifetime Lagger, but it will earn you a very nice 85 gamerscore. So it is well worth it in the end. Once again, No Simming. After the legendary season, switch over to the NAB Cup, where you have to play on the exact same settings as you did before.
Step Four: Online and Mop Up
With the Legendary season over, you can pretty much relax now. Jump online and complete 5 simple games and youíll have completed the online portion of the game. Then its just a case of getting any leftover achievements. Australian Made and Chairman Of The Board are worth leaving until near the end, as they donít exactly provide a benefit for the initial seasons. Lifetime Lagger is, as I said before, the time consuming achievement in the game, but it is by no means hard at all. By playing through the other steps of this game, youíll have gotten yourself quite a few goals already.
