Question No Mouse & Keyboard?!

Hi, I recently read an article about how PlayStation 3 users will get mouse and keyboard support for cross-platform game-play and that Xbox 360 users won't. Can anyone confirm this? I would love to be able to play CS:GO with keyboard and mouse especially when competing against PC players.

I know this topic is older, but just in-case you actually check it again I am responding.

You can use a mouse and keyboard for ANY 360 game with a device called the XIM3 (http://store.xim3.com/XIM3_p_8.html). I have owned one for about a year now, and once you zero in the settings for each game (only have to do it once per game) you are good to go. I will never play an FPS on the 360 with a controller again after trying out the XIM3.

You plug the XIM3 into the 360, then plug in a wired 360 controller, a keyboard, and a mouse (All of them have to be USB). Once connected you press Start + Back at the same time to bring up the display for editing on the XIM3 and use your controller to change all the settings. You can always wait for the official update for the game so you don't have to create the settings yourself (plug the XIM3 into the USB port on your computer to download new firmware/game settings).

Pretty sure there is no cross-platform support for this with the Xbox 360. Not sure about the PS3, but I am almost certain 'we' won't have it.

No cross platform which was easy to see coming back when it got announced! We have not had a 360 game play with a PC Game that is not using Games for Windows LIVE though I am surprised to see PS3 and PC won't join up with them having done it with Portal 2.

As for Mouse and Keyboard... We was never getting that! I recall when Unreal Tournament 3 came out the PS3 got Mouse and Keyboard support and the 360 did not.

Until the patching process can be done fast on 360 and even PS3 cross-platform is just not viable at least when it comes to VALVE who seem to update games every week on Steam.

It's a completely different ball game when FPS titles are involved.
