DLC Achievement Guide

You hear that? We’re official…10
Complete Assault on the 87th Precinct.

This achievement is gained by simply finishing the new DLC level "Assualt on the 87th Precinct. To access the DLC go to the main menu and select "Downloadble Content" from their find the option "Case files" its under there.

Above and beyond30
Achieve Gold Rating in Assault on the 87th Precinct.

See next post for a mission guide.

GAC in time for dinner20
Achieve maximum CLEAR TIME BONUS in Assault on the 87th Precinct.

Play on CADET difficulty and use the guide below to help you speed through it. Try not to die as this wastes time, this may take a couple of attempts but the more times you play through the more likely you will get the hang of it.

Contender25
Get 350,000 points in a single play session of Riot Control.

See guide below.

Dedication to the cause40
Get 5,000,000 points total over multiple play sessions of Riot Control.

No matter how many points you get if you die or finish the six rounds it will continuly add up to 5mil. You may at first be only getting 100,000 per game but after a while you may get 500,000 - 650,000 a time so it wont take as long as you think. This achievement will pop the moment you hit 5mil.
Marking your territory5
Upload a Riot Control score to the leaderboard.

After you have finished all six rounds or if you die, (no matter what score) at the end the game will automatically upload the score for you as long as you are connected to Xbox Live.

Hot head40 Score 500,000 points in Retribution Mode over multiple play sessions of Riot Control.

Retribution mode is when you have gainied so many points in a short period of time your fists will be on fire. See below on how to score as many points as possible.

Retribution Master40
Score 250,000 points from Retribution Bonus over multiple play sessions of Riot Control.

When the retribuition mode has ran out or the round ends you will get a "Retribution bonus" it can go all the way upto 10,000 points. The longer and more varied you kept your combos the higher the bonus will be. You can have Retribution mode run out and get a bonus then fill up the meter, multiple times in a single round but you get more points for keeping it there for longer. Check the mini guide below on how to do this.

Jack Slate of all trades15
Get 15 unique awards in one round in Riot Control.

Using the guide provided you should have a few already at the start of the round but I will list the easier ones there are though 33 awards to get. But you only need 15, and it has to be in one round and has to be 15 Different awards. This is best done on any round but round 1 as there is less types of enemies and not enough weapons.

-Disarm Shoot an enemy's weapon to disarm him.
-Explosive Shoot one of the barrels when a enemy is near it to get this one, must kill them!
-Headshot Shoot an enemy in the head.
-Mobile Cover bonus Kill an enemy while holding another hostage
-Massive damage Kill an enemy with significantly more damage than it take to kill him, (use the LMG on a scout or weak soldier whilst in focus mode)
-Dead Eye Kill an enemy with a ranged weapon from long distance. In round 2 towards the end there should be snipers appearing in towers shoot one in the head from the helipad should suffice.
-Tag team Use Jack and Shadow to kill an enemy. While shadow is attacking someone shoot them in the head.
-Cheese! Score the same medal three times in a row(most likely takedown or shadow takedown)
-Overboard! First enemy you see grab them with + and through them over the helipad side.
-Guard break kill Using the ,,++ combo you should be able to get this quite easily. The enemy must be blocking to work though!
-Shadow Kill Use shadow to kill an enemy you can get this as well as:
-Command kill Press on an enemy for shadow to take him down.
-Takedown Hurt an enemy enough untill you are prompted to take down an enemy with the Button.
-Last man takedown Repeat the above but use it on the last enemy.
-Switch style Combine armed and unarmed tactics to kill an enemy.

Didn't I kill you already?25
Defeat Redwater in Riot Control.

May seem tricky at first but don't worry he isn't nearly as hard as he was on single player. He appears midway through round 6 by chopper he should get off the helipad with a few soldiers. Ignore him for now. Unless he comes and directly attacks you use the ,,, +,+ combo as this deals the most damage. After he takes so much damage he will use a flash grenade to stun you and teleport across the map. He will stay there unless you go near him so avoid him and take out the remaing officers first. As soon as you kill him the achievement will pop.

Mission guide
Quite a tricky achievement. You have to play on at least the OFFICER difficulty as the CADET difficulty does not give you enough of a multiplier. The bulk of the bonus points are from Time Bonus (up to 3000 points) and Survival (staying alive throughout the mission). The mission is split into three parts. The first part you play as a GAC sniper called "Copperhead". When you first gain control of him you will be in a GAC helicopter flying over the rooftops of the 87th Precinct. Your partner Kodiak will "spot" targets for you (He doesn’t though so be on your toes).

First of all take out the snipers as you fly past as these seem to deal the most damage. You also have the ability to slow down and highlight targets with the
button. It automatically recharges so don’t worry trying to score headshots. Kodiak will state that police officers are pouring out of the doorway it’s immediately below you and to the right. Get your sniper on zoom at the door and shoot them as they come out. If you miss a few or it gets too heated there are generators on the roof you can shoot which send out a shockwave causing officers to fly backwards.

Once you have done this and you have flown around the other GAC helicopter you will have to repeat the process as above but you also get other units on the ground helping you. After this there will be more snipers to take out higher up in the level. Make sure you get them as they deal allot of damage.

After this you have to rain bullets on a lot of Police officers who are coming out of doors from the left and the right. You are going to have to be quick though as some of the Police carry rocket launchers. Using the
will help a lot here as the rocket troops are quite easily recognisable. Once this has been done you will then have to proceed on foot as Copperhead. This time though you will have to take out the generator located at the back end of the room. You will face some light resistance against police forces. Do not take their weapons and kill them. Otherwise this results in a mission failure. The guns you are given only shock them so use them instead or fists if you prefer.

As soon as you plant the bomb run all the way back round from where you came from and out of the door way. A timer will appear giving you roughly around 2 minutes till the generator gets back online making it harder for you. First stun the two officers that appear and then run straight round the corner and down some stairs until you come to a door. Go inside and to the left where you will plant another bomb. Once this has been place immediately hide behind one of the boxes as three police officers are about to enter. As soon as the door opens and the smoke appears use the
button to see-through the smoke and shoot them with the sniper rifle. After this proceed outside and continue to use the sniper rifle as it is one shot "kill". Make your way around the sky light. There should be about 4 officers in swat uniform you have to stun before you can proceed.

Once this has been done you will then get a short cut scene and you will have changed character. You now play as "Kodiak" He is a melee brawler who's special ability is being able to deal more damage for a short period of time. To use this ability hold down the
button until the bar in the bottom left reaches the top. Once this happens you can deal more damage but every punch you land the bar will go down quicker. The best method I found using Kodiak is to use the ,,,++ combo as this deals the most damage as well as a good guard breaker. Continue charging up your fists as you pummelling the nice police officers and make your way through the firing range. Once you have done this you will have to enter the gym.
In here are weapons storage lockers that the police will try and get weapons from. Upon entering the room the first thing you should do is clear the barriers that are in the way with the +There are two barriers one at the top and one halfway down the stairs. By doing this the GAC that are following you are able to go down stairs and take out some of the officers at the bottom. Whilst they are doing this make your way around the top floor and stun the two snipers as these can be a real pain. In the gym you will have to hold out for 2 minutes. There is no way you can speed this up, so just keep charging your fists up and getting any police officers who try and make their way to the locker. Another good trick is that if you are having trouble charge your fists up and run up to an officer and press the button this will deal a heavy blow to the officers. Once the timer has run out you will need to kill any remaining officers before you proceed, do this quickly as time is an important factor here.
Once this is done head out of the door on the other side of the room on the bottom floor. A cut scene will play and your new mission is to take out three senior officers in the main part of the station. Head your way down the stairs and through two sets of double doors. Immediately head to the right hand side of the room and destroy the two barriers like you did before. Now charge your fists up and use the ,,,++ combo on everyone in the room as soon as you get the main officer down another GAC officer will arrest him for you. Now the second one is through some double doors on the left hand side of where the first guy was standing. Once the talking has stopped the door will open and more officers will pour out. Try not to worry too much about them as Redwater does a good job of getting most of them. After the second one has been captured keep heading down the hallway and you will then have to take on Inverness. He will lock himself in a room with two other officers, wait behind some cover as a GAC officer will blow the door open for you. Once this has been done go straight for Inverness and use the ,,,++. combo. He’s stronger than the previous two officers but if you use this combo along with charged fists he will go down quickly. This time though YOU have to arrest him so go up to him and press .

Now that you have a hostage take him back the way you came and down the stairs to the right. Don’t worry about the door that blows up in front of you at the top of the stairs, as these are your buddies. Make your way down the stairs and use the newly acquired pistol to take out the incoming officers. Don’t let them get too close because if you do they will attack you and set Inverness free causing you to having to arrest him again. Proceed through the hallway and past the cells. There should be a few more officers to face get rid of them, (or run past whichever). Open the door with Inverness and take him to the open cell. Once this has been done another cut scene will play and you now play as a Tank.

Mission Guide part 2

This section of the level is hard if you don’t keep your distance as the police can soon overwhelm you with because of your slow moving character. The tank has the same ability as Jack, “Focus Mode”. Use it by activating the button. The tank has two main weapons, first one is the minigun which is useful for scoring headshots on enemies and the second is the rocket launcher which is good for taking out groups of enemies or blowing up cars. Now your main objective here is to destroy the SWAT vans (three in total) as these are the rally (spawn) points for the remaining officers. Now you are free to kill here as well. Make your way straight forward across the bridge and equip your Rocket launcher. Now aim using the .

You should be able to make out a black van of some sort towards the end of the bridge. Fire a couple of rockets at it and it should explode. This will cause some of the officers to retreat backwards and stop them spawning from that position. Now carry on down the bridge and take a right, you will now be under the railway tracks keep to the far right as you will now have to face snipers as well as police officers with rocket launchers. Blow up any cars with your rockets to get rid of some of them and stop halfway down use more rockets to destroy the second of the SWAT vans to stop them spawning. They should pull back across the bridge. You can try shooting them if you want but it doesn’t really matter. As you head down the final bridge look to the far left, you should make out the final van from here. Take it out with your rockets and this will cause them to fall back to the station.
Now that all the vans are gone your final objective is to leave no survivors. Head back to the police station and officers will be all over the street. You will have to be quick though as some have rockets as well as sniper rifles. Use your minigun on anyone stood out in the open, (try aiming for the head to get focus up). Any officers hiding behind cover make sure that you use the rockets and shoot to the side of them to either kill them or flush them out. Once the final officer has been killed make your way to the police station doors and mission complete. This mission is quite difficult in places, specially the tank part, if you fail keep your cool try again later and make sure you play on the OFFICER setting. The achievement will unlock during the score tallying screen.

Riot Control Guide
Riot control is the new mode that comes with the DLC. This mode is similar to all those “Horde modes” that have been going around recently. You play as Jack who is accompanied by Shadow, there is only one level you can play on which is the Alpha Site Helipad 2. The game consist of 6 rounds which get harder by having more enemies later on. Two bosses appear one on round 3 and another on round 6. Ok first thing you want to do is stay near the helipad area. Go down the stairs where you start and take a left, there should be a box with a pistol in there, don’t use it yet save it for when you are desperate. When you first start the enemies that come will use their fists so try using the
,, ,+,+ combo on them as this deals a lot of damage as well as gaining you “focus”. As you are doing this you may be prompted to do a takedown do this and you will be rewarded with 2000 points. Now when doing the takedown you still have full control of the camera. Try and aim it at another enemy and use the up direction to tell Shadow to attack the other guards. Doing this rewards you with a Shadow take down and a command kill. Scoring more points and a multiplier the quicker you pull these combos and kills off you should notice the bar in the top left fill up. Once this has filled up your fists will be on fire and you have now entered “Retribution mode” this means you get double points on all the takedowns, combos and kills you do. So keep using your fists as this will quickly rack up points as well as an end of round bonus. The more you string the combos together and kills the longer the bar will take to go down meaning you could if your good enough be able to make it last a whole round. Some general tips for this mode:
Don’t use the turret it’s too inaccurate and you open your self to being attacked from behind.

Stay near the helipad area only move if necessary.

Get the LMG whenever you can, this gun deals a lot of damage, especially in Focus mode.

If you are low on health RUN away! Wait to you heal yourself then get back into the fight.

The bosses appear on round 3+6 at the helipad you will know when they are coming as an alarm will sound and a helicopter will land.

Leave the bosses alone unless they attack you once you take enough damage off they will stun you and run away. Leave them there as they won’t attack you and you can kill the rest of the enemies.

Use shadow as much as you can revive him when he is down he’s quite useful especially when you face tanks.

Don’t stay in the same place too long as you may get sandwich in, keep doing laps of the map so your less likely too die.

Hope this guide is good enough, First time doing one so feel free to point out any errors or easier methods thanks!

Its a good dlc guide... One question tho- you keep sayin to do "XXX" combos. Isn't X the block/counter button? If so then no combo would start with X.

I got all except the one for 5 million points in 3 or 4 games of Riot Control. Though I guess I'm somewhat good at it (not trying to sound like a douche), I'm 5th on the leaderboards I personally really like Riot Control (probably better than the main game) so it doesn't bother me much.

ive done 3 matches and not got the 250k retribution mode yet. some more play time and im sure ill have the achievements before i hit 5 mil

edit: wow, i just got 500k and 250k retribution mode achievements at the same time. the 500k showed up first. i dunno how i did that, the guide says you can only get 10k a round but that would mean i got 250k in one burst. i did it on round 3 when the big guys came out. i went into focus mode and killed like 8 of them in 10 seconds.

Hmm, thanks for mentioning that, I'm pretty sure that's actually an error in the guide. You get the Retribution bonus each time Retribution mode runs out. I've seen it as low as 2k and it can go up to 10k. I assume that's what they're talking about in the achievement.

Just a small tip for the 'GAC in time for dinner', it's a breeze if you figure out what parts you can just run by without fighting. Like the start when you land as Copperhead, you can just run past everyone, plant the bombs until you switch to Kodiak. And when you need to capture the senior officers just focus on getting them first. Just some examples.

Ah my mistake I'll make the changes accordingly. Also I found it easier just to use the sniper to shoot people instead of running past as its one shot kill anyway.

Yeah, that's definitely the hardest part. I always tried to stay far away from the helicopter itself and try to take the Tanks out quickly - grab some weapons first, get Shadow to grab them then use Focus (and hopefully you're in Retribution mode too). They're annoying but they're slow, if you get in trouble just run somewhere else.

Thanks, the furthest I got was taking out one tank (I think there were 2) and I was in the process of getting the 2nd one, and then that big melee fighter came out of nowhere and I had to run a lap around the map, but there were so many enemies firing from everywhere. I couldn't heal in time, died going up some steps. I was furious haha. At least it still adds to my 5mil achievement.

EDIT: Got it, now all I need is gold. Very lame, I did a gold run and ended up getting the Max time bonus achievement and just 7500 and silver. What else am I missing?

I have Clear Time Bonus 3000
Kill Variation Bonus 1000
Gun Kills Bonus 500
Melee Kills Bonus 500
Total Style Bonus 1000
1.25x modifier

I need 8000 for gold right?

EDIT: got it my 3rd try without dying

DLC adds another couple of hours, nothing too drastic. I'm renting myself and have played maybe 8 hours tops.

Getting past the tanks was a pain for me cause I always get surrounded when going for them (aka aiming at their back). So here's the trick to make em easy as cake.

On stage 3 there's a heavy GAC with a rocket launcher (it's the only one in all 6 rounds). Make sure you are carrying it when a round finishes, or else it disappears. When you pick it up it has 4 rockets. They should be used as follows.

Assuming you're staying on the helipad like the guide says, first one is to be used on round 4 when the chopper arrives and drops Riggs and his men. That'll get rid of all of the men in one fell, Riggs will flashbang and run away, and you'll trigger retribution mode, all in one fell swoop.
In round 6, one rocket per tank will get you rid of them (as long as it's a direct hit, it's a one-shot kill, no need to aim at their back), and the last rocket is for use on Redwater, same method as for Riggs.

Might be a stupid question, but does wearing the GAC armor and having shadow invisible mess with the point achievements? The armor doesn't really help, but it's nice not having shadow die at all.
