[WiP] Achievement Guide [WiP]

Career

Australian Open Title 20
Career - Win the Australian Open

Your first major tournament of the game. You can breeze through in less than 20 minutes. Really easy, pending on your difficulty also.

Beat Federer at Australian Open 20
Career - Defeat Roger Federer at the Australian Open

Take out Roger Federer at the Australian Open. You should meet him after the round of 16, as it seems like the big names of Tennis tend to be on the other side of the tree.

Pending on results, it may not happen during your first season.

Beat Serena at Australian Open 20
Career - Defeat Serena Williams at the Australian Open

Take out Serena Williams at the Australian Open. You should meet her after the round of 16, as it seems like the big names of Tennis tend to be on the other side of the tree.

Pending on results, it may not happen during your first season.

Beat Henin at the French Open 20
Career - Defeat Justine Henin at the French Open

Take out Justine Henin at the French Open. You should meet her after the round of 16, as it seems like the big names of Tennis tend to be on the other side of the tree.

Pending on results, it may not happen during your first season.

French Open Title 20
Career - Win the French Open

Win the second major tournament. Similar to the Australian Open, it is easy.

Beat Henin at the French Open 20
Career - Defeat Justine Henin at the French Open

No Set Lost 20
Career - Win a tournament without losing a set

You can unlock this at anytime throughout your career. I unlocked it on my first tournament in Dubai.

Your character is relatively slow, but flat and drop shots will make it really easy.

Never Broken 20
Career - Win a tournament without being broken

You can unlock this at anytime throughout your career. I unlocked it on my first tournament in Dubai.

Just don't drop a point to the opponent. I defeated R. Federer 3-0 without dropping a point. That is an example on how easy the first tournament is.

Non-Calendar Year Grand Slam® 35
Career - Win all four Grand Slam® tournaments consecutively, but not in the same calendar year

Starting with the Australian Open, win every single Grand Slam in that calendar year. When you come back to the Australian Open, win it for a second time, which will unlock this achievement.

Calendar Year Grand Slam® 50
Career - Win all four Grand Slam® tournaments consecutively in the same calendar year

See "Non-Calendar Year Grand Slam®"

Melbourne Park Big Show 20
Career - Play Rod Laver Arena at Australian Open

Not sure if it is programmed a certain way or not, but your first taste of Rod Laver Arena is during the Semi-Finals of the Australian Open.

All you have to do is make it onto the court. It does not matter if you win or lose.

Career/Non-career

School Master 35
Training - Complete all Tennis School Lessons

Simply complete all of the training to unlock this achievement.

Rocket 20
Any Game Mode - Hit a 209 KMH (130 MPH) serve

You can create a 2 player exhibition match for this. Select Andy Roddick (he has the highest serve rating in the game) and choose any opponent.

Hold for a flat serve and try to get it right in the middle of the serve box. For a little boost, push up on .

Pair of Aces 20
Any Game Mode - Hit 2 aces in a row

See "Boom Boom"

Clean Break 20
Any Game Mode - Break Service

See "Break Back"

Break Back 20
Any Game Mode - Break service immediately after being broken

Start the match by serving first. Let the computer/second player break your serve. When the computer/second player is serving, win the point and you will unlock both Clean Break and Break Back.

Silver Set 20
Any Game Mode - Win a set without losing a game

See "Broke"

Broke 20
Any Game Mode - Win a match without being broken

To make this quicker, set it to 3 games.

Silver Set and Broke speak for themselves. Do not allow the computer/second player to win a point.

Tie Break Win 20
Any Game Mode - Win a tie break

Start a singles exhibition match with 1 set and 3 games. Make sure you have 'Last Set Tie Break' set to YES, otherwise the achievement won't unlock.

When serving, win your point. When receiving, let the computer/second player win the point. At 3 games all (3-3), it will become a tie break. Just win it, easy as that.

Boom Boom 20
Any Game Mode - Hit four aces in a row

Start a 2 player exhibition match and pick your poison. Personally I would recommend Andy Roddick, as he has the highest rating for serves in the game.

Serve 4 aces in a row and the achievement is yours (plus Pair of Aces, if you didn't unlock it separately).

A break is when you win the game (one part of a set) when the opponent is serving.

So when you are serving, keep losing points until you lose serve (and the game). Then when they are serving keeping winning points until you win the game.

Thanks for the little bump. I left this incomplete and moved on to another game. I will come back and make some updates, including a little explanation for those who may not be familiar with the rules of tennis.

Not sure why but you have missed out Collector achievement and I have no idea what this means. Someone said just reaching 70,000 points is enough????

There's a better way to get the "Tie Break Win" achievement. Just enter the ESPN Grand Slam Classics mode and play the match with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga vs. Novak Djokovic. That will automatically put you in a tie-break situation. If you win, you'll get the achievement.
