Why is it weird? People have been playing "Sims" type games for years. There's even a Sims Rollercoaster Tycoon, which is basically what this is.

I personally haven't played a Sims in a long time, so this might be fun. Sim Ant was the tits, by the way.

I'm actually looking forward to this game. I wanted to get it when it came out for the ps2, but now that its coming out for the 360 I'm definitely going to get this one.

Yeah, its just a sim game. My all time favorite sims game was Sim tower. Now that was fun.

The demo was pretty fun, not great, but some innocent fun. Building your own roller coaster then riding it is pretty cool i'll admit. I'll probably get this when it's 20$ maybe, but just can't do it for 50$.

I wish this game was more of a simulation like Rollercoaster Tycoon. But, I think it is cool how you can actually ride the rides, and walk around the parks. The parks themselves though don't look really detailed, and don't have much life to them. Anyway, I won't be getting this game when it comes out.

Theme Park is one of the best games of all time- I would love for that to be made into an Arcade game.

This looks pretty good fun- slightly less intense than RollerCoaster Tycoon, but still looks quality

I used to play countless hours of Theme Park for the sega saturn and was wondering if this game is somewhat similar, can anybody who has it compare?

I'll buy it depending on price when it is released, if it's not really cheap then I'll just wait for it to be used, and cheap.

it ranges from different types the mini games are for families but the actual storyline or campaign whatever you wanna call it, is for anyone who likes the sims and rollercoaster tycoon.

Wow, that takes me way back, I loved that game, but when I played it I was too young to get a real handle on the strategy of the game and could never take more than a small portion of the yard and house.

But more on topic, I will give thrillville a rent, I enjoyed Rollercoaster Tycoon on the PC alot and think this is worth a try.

I agree with Minty. Theme Park & Theme park world are two of the greatest games ever created, I just had countless hours of fun with them games. If they arcaded either one of them, I'd be so so happy. Theme hospital was cool too, anyone remember that one?

I got the game the other day. It's fun, but it is a sims game geared for younger people. I'm just not sure how young.
All the park menu's with the park statistics and stuff looks too complicated for someone young, but the missions and mini games are really easy. Of course I also just started playing too. And I'm at a mini game thats giving me some trouble, so maybe it picks up.

And for those of you who didn't play the demo, you can make roller coasters in the game too.

Overall I think its fun. It's not as hard as other sims game, but I find it fun.

I was going to get this game today actually. I herd it was a theme park building game so i though it was going to be like the "amazing" rollercoaster tycoon. But i saw videos of it online and i really didnt like the look of it but it seems quite fun at the same time. its weird, i wont buy it but ill get a demo if it is ever released.

I waited long enough that it was on the $9.99 clearance rack.. definitely got my $10 worth out of it and my daughter will have a blast with it when she's a little older.. It has a pretty fun soundtrack and the cutscene graphics are pretty decent for a gameplay-based game like this.

Its a mediocre PC port. It plays better on the console because of all the arcade games. Three of the five mission achievements glitched on me (all quests completed, no resolving cut scene, no ach) I got my $3 bargain bin cost out of it, but i'm not looking foward to replaying for those last achievements. Coaster building is meh, coaster riding is super lame. The economic simulator is complicated, but the parks run themselves, so you pretty much sandbox it with no consequences, racking up cash with minimal effort. The only plus to this is the arcade minigames. If for some reason you dont have the PS2 arcade compilations, or are under 18 years old, you can experience some decent but generic knock offs of some of the all time best games from the arcade and early console days. Anyone over 30 will instantly spot each 'homage', Autosprint 2 (super sprint) Bandito Chinchilla (Final Fight) Event Horizon 2 (any side scrolling shooter) Luftwaffe 2 (1942) Sparkle Quest (sort of Bork or Super Mario) Stunt Rider (excitebike/Trials HD) Trojan Quest (Gauntlet). Some of these are decent, but the quality varies hugely, with some barely passable. Whoreable for quick points, but a frustrating 1000 with glitches and a few hard achs

I have this game, its probably one of my most hard to find Xbox 360 games, you can get it for 17.99 at a US Gamestop however a copy at those stores is not easy to find in my area. Glad I was able to snag it off ebay for a reasonable price (less than 17.99 too).

This is actually a fairly fun game. Once in a while it is nice to take a break from shooters and rpgs. Dirt cheap now so you definitely get your moneys worth. I liked designing the roller coasters.

I thought this was a new thread until I saw the 2007 date. Either way, now or 5 years ago, I wouldn't get this game.
