Just got Mafia II

Just got Mafia II for 360, it looked pretty cool and the music in the game seemed similar to my old blues tastes (sometimes :P)

So what do you guys think of the game? It's downloading to my hard drive right now, so it won't be done for another day or two.

Mafia 2 will always be in my games list. I loved the music. The storyline was good too. BUT...the DLC sucked to me. Jimmy's was the worst.

It's available via Games on Demand? Might check it out and see how it compares to local retailers and buy it.

I had it before and it got quite repetitive. Other than the driving, the game was really fun and enjoyable.

It was a bit repetitive as you get further into it. Still a fun game, and I enjoyed it. No opinions on the DLC, as I did not try them (I rented it). Enjoy!

I think the game is pretty fun, however I wish that there was more of an open world to it!

Agreed, it was pretty fun until I beat it. Shame you can't do more once the story line is over.

I've been interested in this game but kept putting off buying it. Think I will finally check it out.

I’d highly suggest buying the platinum hits version, online it can be gotten for 19.99 almost everywhere brand new and it includes all the DLC. Joe’s adventure and Jimmy’s vendetta alone will run you that much from the marketplace and the platinum hits version includes and extra mission, the betrayal of Jimmy and all 4 car and clothing packs. Unfortunately I didn’t know this until after I bought it all separately.

I think it has an excellent storyline with (mostly) believable characters and decent acting compared to many games. The great soundtrack of period music is a bonus.

It really is a great game, though the only downside is that there are no side missions to do.

Local retailers are always cheaper than the rip offs of games on demand.

e.g. I saw Mafia 2 on games on demand on sale today for 20$ yet at gamestop it was around 10$.

Just picked up the vanilla edition for £5 brand new. It's gonna just go into the pile, but couldn't refuse at that price.
