Full On Stealth Run in Video with Achievements

Overview:
-Estimated achievement difficulty: 4
-Offline: 50 [1000]
-Online: 0
-Approximate amount of time to 1000: 12 hours
-Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 2
-Missable achievements: There are a LOT that require complete dedication to them from start to finish.
-Does difficulty affect achievements?: NO
-Glitchy/ed achievements: None (There is plenty of confusion as to what counts and what doesn't. It is definately possible that some glitched for some people, but generally knowing the "rules" of the achievements will make them all doable)
-Unobtainable achievements: None

Roadmap:

Playthrough #1:
In this playthrough we will be going for the majority of the achievements. This will be a full stealth walkthrough. Some quick notes:
GHOST: You can alert up to 3 white lines. If anyone; civilian, guard, weaper, etc, goes RED you have lost the achievement and need to reload. Confirm on the mission stats page that Ghost is checked!
CLEAN HANDS: Do not kill or cause anyone to be killed. Confirm at every mission stat screen you are checked off for no kills.
MOSTLY FLESH AND STEEL: You can NOT upgrade any abilites on the Powers page. Do NOT upgrade Blink to level II. You can use Bone Charms.

Overall it is imperitive that you do not move on to the next mission until you have cleared the previous one correctly. It appears achievement progress is linked to an individual save and not a profile so you need a clean run start to finish.

At the end of this playthrough you should recieve a majority of your achievements.

Playthrough #2:
This will be a murderous rampage through the levels getting all the kill achievements we didn't manage to layout in the first run. For the most part all of this will be completed by the end of the second mission. The rest of the game is really just to get to the end with a High Chaos rating for that achievement which will be the last one we unlock.

Coolridge Prison

Thief - 20
You pickpocketed items worth a total of 200 coins

When sneaking behind an enemy hitting will allow you to steal their pouch if they have one. If you get everyone in a row in Coolridge Prison you'll get his on the guy the game wants you to drop assassin in the sewers. Obviously as a stealth run we will not being doing the drop assassination.

Vanished - 10
You escaped prison and navigated the sewers undetected

This will pop during the final stats screen IF you managed to get Ghost rating by not causing any alerts.



High Overseer Campbell

ART DEALER PROGRESS: 1/11 - In his basement secret chamber. He will lead you and Curnow here if you spill the posion.
GENTLEMAN CALLER PROGRESS: There are 2 side missions for Granny Rags during Overseer Campbell that you must do to get this achievement in the Flooded District mission later. Doing them will NOT void stealth based achievements.

Dishonored - 5
You escaped Coldridge Prison

This will pop when you get to the Hounds Pit as soon as you get off the boat with Samuel.

Creepy Crawly - 10
You used a rat tunnel

Inhabitant - 10
You stayed in possession of others for most of a 3 minute period

There are a TON of rat tunnels and a TON of rats. If you are doing a Flesh and Bone run you need to save before doing this. Then buy Possesion I, posses a rat and stay in the tunnel for 3 minutes. Creepy Crawly will pop when you are in the tunnel. Inhabitant will pop when you exit after 3 minutes and you leave the possession.

Bodyguard - 10
You protected Callista's uncle, Captain Geoff Curnow

For this stealth run we spilled both drinks and then followed them down to Campbell's secret chamber. When you choke Campbell out, Geoff will make a run for freedom. The achievement will pop when Captain Geoff leaves the area successfully.

Excommunication - 5
You eliminated High Overseer Campbell

For our stealth run we need to choke out Campbell and take him back to the interegation room. Place him in the chair and use the brand to mark him. This will pop as soon as you complete the objective.

Faceless - 20
After escaping Coldridge Prison, you completed a mission without alerting anyone

Specter - 20
After escaping prison, you completed a mission, not alerting anyone and killing less than 5 people

This whole video series is based on a stealth run. You can go as high as 3 white on alerts, but if it breaks Red, reload. Make sure every body is listed as (unconscious). Even short falls can cause a enemy to die.

House of Pleasure

ART DEALER PROGRESS: 4/11 - All three are in the art dealer's house. One on the middle floor that the 2 thugs are talking in front of when you come in, one in the small bedroom on the top floor, and finally one in the safe
STREET CONSPIRACY PROGRESS: There are 2 side missions for Slackjaw during House of Pleasure that you must do to get this achievement in the Flooded District mission later. Doing them will NOT void stealth based achievements and if fact are required for a Stealth playthrough.

Speed of Darkness - 10
You traveled 30 meters in less than 1 second

Save as this will void a Flesh and Blood. So save and then purchase Bend Time I and Blink II. Activate Bend Time and then Blink twice and just keep going until the Bend Time runs out. It will pop when you've reached the distance required. It does not need to be in a straight line. Reload to continue your stealth run.

Alive Without Breath - 10
You took possession of a fish

You will be told to go down into the sewers to learn about Weapers. Right when you hit the sewers there will be a valve to the left. Save, purchase Possession I, then get into the water. Possess a Fish and the achievement will pop. Don't forget to reload.

Food Chain - 10
You assassinated an assassin

Your first run in with the assassins will be as you leave the Distillery after you talk to Slackjaw for the first time. Once again, save, kill an assassin, the achievement will pop, and reload.

Child Care - 10
You located Lady Emily Kaldwin, heir to the throne

Emily is being held on the top floor off the right side of the Golden Cat. The same side the Madam's office is on.

An Unfortunate Accident - 10
You killed Morgan Pendleton with steam

Again, we are going to kill someone so make a separate save. Steal the key from the madam and make your way down to the steam room on the far left side. There are two guards to eliminate then enter the far left gated door to the steam room. Pick up the valve and attach it back to the pipes. Then activate it to kill Morgan. Reload to continue our stealth run.

Inhabitant - 10
You stayed in possession of others for most of a 3 minute period

I am listing this again as this is when I actually got it.

The Art of the Steal - 10
You got the Art Dealer's safe combination for Slackjaw, but robbed the safe first

You will torture the art dealer in the Golden Cat into giving you the safe code. Before returning to Slackjaw you need to enter his house and open the safe. His house is right across the streets from the Doctor's house.


The Royal Physician

ART DEALER PROGRESS: 5/11 - One in the bottom sunken area of Sokolov's house in the main opening area.


Occultist - 20
You collected 10 bone charms

Since we missed one in Overseer Campbell's mission since we can't use Possession we will get this on the first one in this mission.

King of the World - 10
You reached the top of Kaldwin's Bridge

When you get the actual bridge section you'll come across the room to lift the drawbrdige. From here just keep climbing and climbing. You'll get to a dead body and from there it is just one more blink up.

The Escapist - 10
After Coldridge Prison, you eluded 5 pursuers at once without killing them or leaving the map

Save since this will void Ghost. You'll get to a section where you can ride a mine cart over a track on the left side of the bridge. On exiting the far side, purchase Bend Time I and II. There will be 5 enemies below you. Simply get their attention and then ride the cart back. They won't be able to get to you. Once their timers run out the achievement will pop. Reload the safe save to continue.

Hornets' Nest - 20
You killed 4 enemies in less than 1 second using the crossbow

Cleaner - 10
You fought 5 enemies at once and none of them survived

In this exact same area, again purchase Bend Time I and II. You'll also have wanted to purchase Crossbow reload so that your crossbow auto reloads. Get everyones attention and then drop down and head back left. There is a large crate you can hide behind while you wait for them to bunch up. Pop out, Bend Time, and aim for the heads with your crossbow. You need to get the four with the crossbow within the 1 second, and then the fifth without dying first. Reload the safe save to continue.

Capturing Genius and Madness - 10
You abducted Anton Sokolov, Royal Physician

Surgical - 30
You played from the first mission through Kaldwin's Bridge killing fewer than 10 characters

These will both pop when you get back to Samuel at the end of the mission.



Lady Boyle's Last Party

ART DEALER PROGRESS: 7/11 - One in a center gallery on the second floor and one in Waverly's bedroom.
VERSATILE PROGRESS: When you get to the house, before entering, head down the slope to the guardhouse door on the left. The blueprint for spiked grenades is inside this small room.

Big Boy - 20
You killed a tallboy using only your sword

Save as usual for a killing achievement. You have two options, to blink up and then above one and doing a Drop Assassination. I think just blinking up and getting the kill the easiest.

Tempest - 20
You killed 6 enemies in less than 1 second

Once inside the party there are a TON of enemies. Save, buy Bend Time I and II and get their attention. I find the easiest is to pull them all into the pool table room on the left of the exit. Then Bend Time and place Razorsprings all over. When time pops back it will be a slaughter. Then reload save.

Harm's Way - 10
You caused 5 unintentional suicides

Not a fun achievement. Going to want to save A LOT of this one. Safe save and then buy Possession I and II. Possess a party goer and move them to the wall of light. Make sure no one is watching, and then pop our of them RIGHT in front of the wall, they will stumble into it. If no one saw you are good to go. Save, use an Elixer and go to the next. If you're seen it's pretty much over, so reload. Do this 5 times.

Well Mannered - 10
You completed the Boyle Estate mission without spoiling the party

This means you never got alerted to or otherwise angered any of the other guests. As long as we are going stealth and this will be a non-issue achievement as we need to get out all stealthy anyway. This will unlock at the mission stat screen as long as you are Ghost. Pleas note this one mission, if a body is found, you are immediately found out in the party and can not reenter the party without bloodshed.

Return To The Tower

ART DEALER PROGRESS: 8/11 - There is one in the room opposite the Lord Regent's bedroom. It will damage you but you can go from the Lord Regent's room through the fireplace to get there.
VERSATILE PROGRESS: There is a blueprint for Explosive Bullets in the General's room. When you get to the library with the Lord Regent's bedroom on the left, instead go out the double doors and it's the next room on the left down the hall.


Regicide - 10
You assassinated the Lord Regent, Hiram Burrows

Again, we are on a stealth run, so save when you get to his room. Then kill him, get the achievement and reload your save.

Political Suicide - 10
You brought about the Lord Regent's fall from grace by broadcasting his crimes

When you first get into the tower head all the way to the top of to the broadcast booth. The man there will tell you the Lord Regent's safe combo. Get the audio file from the Lord Regent's safe and take it back to the top of the tower.

Poetic Justice - 30
You neutralized all key targets using indirect means

You'll get this at the end of the mission having followed this guide. To recap:
High Overseer Campbell - Branded a heretic
The Twins - Slackjaw's second side quest
Sokolov - Abducted
The Boyle Sister - Given to her "lover"
Lord Regent - Broadcast his crimes



The Flooded District

ART DEALER PROGRESS: 11/11 - When you get to the first main waterway, and your stuff is on the left and Daud is on the right, there will be a high balcony with a mattress hanging on it in the far back right. The second one is after you take care of Daud and come to a chain. 2 floors down is a Sokolov by two normal paintings. The final painting and the achievement is in Granny Rag's bedroom IF you did all of her quests and Slackjaws quests.

Merchant of Disorder - 20
You acquired 15 equipment upgrades

Right when you are back to the Hounds Pit find Piero and upgrade everything. Hopefully you have looted a TON of cash. We already got 5 upgrades earlier. There are 3 important ones to make sure are in your final 10.

1 - Corvo's Pistol Upgrade, this opens the Explosive Rounds upgrde.
2 - Explosive Rounds, this is a found blueprint, we got it in the last mission in the General's Office if you are following along. This is upgrade is required for the Versatile achievement.
3 - Sticky Grenade Housing, this is a found blueprint also, found first in the Lady Boyle mission in the guardstation down the slope to the left before entering the party. This is upgrade is required for the Versatile achievement.

After those three simply pick the cheapest or ones that compliment your play style. Make sure to also buy a couple sticky grenades and explosive bullets.

This Is Mine - 10
You recovered your belongings

Once you get control again you have the option of going directly to Daud, or going and getting your equipment first. To get the achievement obviously you need to get your equipment. There are just a few Weapers so it's a easy grab on a stealth run so I suggest getting it done.

Versatile - 20
You killed characters with each weapon and offensive gadget

When you get to the actual area where Daud is you should have all your weapons back. These are the things you need to kills someone with. Bend Time I and II will make this alot easier but I did it on Very Hard with no real problems.

Sword
Incendiary Bolts (Can be found on traps, also can be bough from Piero after finding the blueprint)
Crossbow Bolts
Springrazor
Grenade
Spiked Grenade (Blueprint)
Bullet
Explosive Bullet (Blueprint)

Mercy is the Mark - 10
You spared Daud’s life

Sneak in on Daud and loot both the key and pouch. Do NOT choke him out. Then just move on. This will unlock at the end of the mission.


Gentleman Caller - 10
You completed all the Granny Rags side missions

Street Conspiracy - 10
You completed all the Slackjaw side missions


At the end of mission 7 you'll come back into contact with Granny Rags and Slackjaw. This assumes you completed Granny Rags' 2 side missions in the Overseer Campbell mission and Slackjaw's 2 side missions in House of Pleasure. If you were following this video series, you did all 4 of these missions.

Save as these are opposite choices of the same mission and also voids a stealth run. So we will save, do one, reload, do the other, reload get out of there clean for our stealth run.

For your clean run, first go up to Granny's bedroom and get the last Sokolov painting to unlock Art Dealer. Then you need to creep up on Granny, go into stealth, steal her key and RUN to her bedroom and through the door. Granny will chase you and if she gets into your direct area she will go red and it will void Ghost so when you escape this area be 100% sure you are in the clear. Luckily the level ends shortly after this so you will know soon enough.

Art Dealer - 50
You collected all the Sokolov paintings

This is a rehash of the info I have at each mission's debrief:

The Light at the End

Lights Out - 10
You deactivated at least 5 security systems on Kingsparrow Island

You can get to the first sentry tower with just Blink I, it's not fun or easy. Stand at the very edge of the rocks, and when the lower platform swings all the way around, jump, blink, and grab the edge to pull yourself up.
From there cross the river and head into the sewage drain, there is 1 guard and 2 Whale Oil tanks to pull.
Come back to the beach and there is a Whale Oil tank under the overhanging metal platform.
Finally work your way up to the bridge. SAVE, as this will be a rewire and it's possible people will die. Simply Blink to the small under walkway and rewire the panel. That's #5 and the achievement will pop. Then reload and bypass the rewire and continue on to the end.

Long Live the Empress - 10
You saved Empress Emily Kaldwin

This will unlock and a Low Chaos playthrough when you release Emily from the room and the game ends there.

Shadow - 30
You completed all missions after the prologue without alerting anyone

Ghost - 30
You completed all missions after the prologue, alerting or killing no one but key targets

Clean Hands - 100
You completed the game without killing anyone

Mostly Flesh and Steel - 50
You finished the game without purchasing any supernatural powers or enhancements, besides Blink

Resolution - 100
You completed the game

These will all unlock at the final mission stat screen if you followed my videos and made sure you never continued a mission if you killed someone or someone saw you. And you never had a power purchased on your main save. I can confirm 100% that you can save, do things, and reload and still get all the stealth achievements.

Just Dark Enough - 50
You completed the game in low chaos

This will unlock at the end of your stealth run after the final cutscene that plays after the stat screen.



Murderious Rampage Clean Up Time!!!

I am going to do ALL of these on mission 2 - The High Overseer

Rogue - 10
You assassinated 10 unaware enemies

Instead of choking someone out, kill them instead. Easy.

Back Home - 10
You grabbed a live grenade and threw it back, killing an attacker

The Overseers love to throw grenades. Let them. Bend Time to pick it up and chuck it back at them. If you are playing on Very Hard it may take 2 hits to kill a Overseer.

Razor Rain - 10
You killed 5 characters with Drop Assassination

This is when you drop down from above and hit the right before you land on their head. Another easy one on a murderous rampage through the Distillery District.


Manipulator - 10
You made others kill 5 of their own allies

This is all about the timing and Bend Time II with Possession II. A long a enemy to JUST fire a gun, or JUST throw a grenade or JUST swing their sword. Bend Time, Possess a enemy, move him into the line of fire. Release him and time and watch him die. Five times.


Final Sad Achievement That Requires Almost A Entire Playthrough Just To Get

Dunwall in Chaos - 50
You completed the game in high chaos

Play on easy and just got WILD. You can cut this down by keeping a save around halfway through the game and starting your murderious rampage from then.

Great job mate, I really needed something like this that listed the best way to these achievements in order. This will save lots of time, I probably would have just done 1 run otherwise lol.

Thanks for all the compliments! Greatly appreciated. Added a bunch more info and laid out the end. Also added some per mission progress for various achievements so you know what you are trying to work for in each mission.

Hoping to finish the whole game up tonight. Putting audio to the rest of Flooded District and Loyalists right now. So probably filmed, maybe audioed, but not uploaded till tomorrow. Then it should be 100% complete.

Ah, I vaguely remember something about that. How do you trigger her second mission?

On my first play thru, I did Granny's first mission, And not her second one. I also did Slackjaw's first mission , and not his second one. By the time I got to the sewers, I had to go find the Master Key, which was of course, the last Granny mission.

Both will trigger automatically when you turn in part one. You must of just ignored them lol.

Added one final kill crazy video to get 5 kill achievements pretty quick and easy. Let me know if anyone thinks anything else needs to be changed or updated.

Well, a great guide and thanks for posting, but to be honest, do NOT rely on this guide to guide you through like this guy does because of so many different item placements, and it can leave you pretty screwed up later if you are still trying to follow it.

Reasons being... in the Boyle manor, he picks up a painting in a room and also a skeleton key from a closet. On my playthrough, the painting was in a completely different place, and also there was no skeleton key in the closet at ALL. I never did find that, but found the second painting in a completely different room.

Now... in the NEXT mission, he uses that skeleton key and has an easier route (An easier route to the broadcast tower as he had a skeleton key from the previous mission). I am screwed as I have no skeleton key, and therefor, cannot follow the rest of his guide. Actually, I found my own route in the end to the top of the broadcast tower, but still... just saying how so many item placements etc are random.

Just a heads up. I appreciate his guide, and it was very helpful for a while (I really do think his guide is awesome and how he commentates too), but now I cannot follow as item placements etc are random.

I do appreciate his full guide though, but with this game, so many things can be in different places.

Another instance is the achievement for killing a certain someone by steam at the Golden Cat (House of Pleasure) where he does a safe save and reload. I followed this, but the guy that was SUPPOSED to be there was not on my playthrough. Just some random guard and woman that I steamed and no achievement.

1) As I said in the video the Boyle who is the target is random. So if it is not Waverly you need to go find the room of the sister that it is. Either one we start in or the middle room we skipped.

2) You will not get the steam option until you listen to the conversation in the main room OR look at the guest book downstairs for the game to tell you where Morgan is. So if you didn't follow the guide and get all conversation I do, again as I say in the video, he won't be there.

Thanks, this was really helpful. Followed this and got all stealth and no kill achievements. Enjoyed the commentary as well.

Well, apologies I guess as I must have missed the part where I had to look at a guestbook, so apologies. I thought I followed your guide exactly, but must have missed that part.

Also, going for Versatile, you said dogs don't count. I can confirm they do as the last kill I needed was with the crossbow, so I shot a dog below and the achievement popped.

Anyway, thanks for the guide. Helped me get a ton of the achievements. I was just miffed that I didn't get the skeleton key and found the painting in a different room. Kind of confused me, that part.

Glad to help. That's weird on the Versatile because I straight up showed I shot a gun with both the normal and explosive round and nothing. Then hopped into the building re-did it on assassins and it popped right up. Did you do all of the kills on dogs? Maybe you have to do everything on a single enemy type.

No, I killed the assassins around too, but ran out of those lol. I think the last one I needed was a crossbow kill, and I looked around for enemies and couldn't find any. I looked down into the streets and saw 2 (Maybe 3?) dogs, took aim, shot one and the achievement popped.

Again though, I really did enjoy your guide. I guess I was confused as I didn't know straight away that some things can be in different places etc. I did eventually find the skeleton key when I replayed the mission, and that was in the same room as the painting, but a different room to yours.

Thanks again, and loved the commentary too.
