Oaklane Boy's Gamercard
Suprising Game

I bought this game for no reason. It was cheap and I purchased it with not many expectations. After it just lying with the rest of my games for 5 months i decided to finally take a crack at it, and i have to say it definitely surprised me. It took me just less than 6 hours to complete in assassin mode that includes collecting all the passports except one. This also included getting some easy misc achievements on the way.

It was easily one of the better games i've played in ages. I have played many of the new games and they just haven't been able to entice me. This did just that.

It gave me the same feeling as I got when i first played Wanted WOF. It was an underated cheap movie imitation. But damn it was a good one. The takedowns never got boring and neither did playing it.

This is another game i would be proud to complete the full 1k and soon should do.

Did anyone else feel this game was better than what people have said of it?

I really enjoyed this game myself. Story branched a little different from the movie so you didn't always know what was going to happen next. This was a superb way of doing a movie game since, generally speaking, you know what's going to happen next if you have seen the movie.

I've had this game a while but still haven't started it yet.

If you've completed this and enjoyed it, go out and get Quantum of Solace, it's very similar. You can pick it up dirt cheap, the achievements are easy, story is good and multiplayer is a lot of fun.

I have to say I was pleasantly suprised with this, picked it up for a tenner used for the 1000GS, got a solid 10 hours of enjoyable playtime out of it. Controls were nice and tight, the odd camera issue wasnt enough to detract from an overall decent experience.

Certainly not the excrutiating experience of Terminator Salvation or Jumper that's for sure.

I would go out on a limb and say that this game was almost an excellent game. I agree that the camera issues were nothing that got in my way but I felt that the controls felt a bit awkward at first. I think the enemies took too many punches (he is supposed to be a trained martial artist assassin, right?) and some of the cut scene takedown moves he did were a bit over dramatic, especially the shooting takedowns when he drops and reloads a magazine shoots a guy then spins around to shoot another and finally does a jump-spin-double armpit-to-chesty to nail the third guy.

But as movie games go, I think this was the best.

I loved this game, although I never completed it, since my xbox tipped over when I was playing it and it scratched my disc up and I never got a new one.

Personally, I thought this game was pretty average. It was severely let down by slightly awkward and sluggish controls, man-to-man fights which always resulted in button mashing and endless QTE's. Certainly not the worst movie game but I can't say it really surprised me.

That said, I've not really seen the movie(s) it's based on.

Glad there was a way to do just one playthrough, there's no way I could have gone through this 3 times. Camera is awful and controls are not great.

Quantum of Solace is 10 times better than this plus it has decent multiplayer.

It is a pretty good game, when I first played it about 18 months ago, thought it was awful and didn't play it for a while until about a month ago and I liked the game.

The achievements are pretty fun to get as well, nice list but some of them were repetitive.

I'm renting it for free so I don't have too much to complain about, but I have to say, the the combat is irritating for two reasons:

1) It's extremely repetitive - just mash X & Y to defeat every enemy in the game.
2) It takes way to long to kill almost every enemy; I mean think about it.... Bourne only engages in hand-to-hand combat for more than a few punches with other Treadstone agents, yet somehow in this game every mercenary is capable of going toe to toe with him.

Lastly, I feel like this game completely disregards the point that an elite secret operative is sent in to operate under the radar, yet in every mission they make a point of having you fight a small army.

I would prefer a game design where the idea is to maintain stealth, where if you are spotted you are basically screwed. To me, as it is, the game plays more like a Bond game than like a Splintercell.

I only borrowed it from a friend and the onluly huge gripe I had about it was the fact that they had to put "Robert Lundoms..."
Which is pretty good considering most book to movie to video games are a tragdy. Look at Quantum of Solace, TMNT, etc.

One of those gems on the 360 you find every once in awhile. Combat was satisfyingly brutal and destructive.
