I couldn't agree more! EWJ 2 is one of my favourite games of all time, and is much better than the first IMO. I love how each level has its own unique style, and the gameplay is always changing

Second that. Would love EJ2 on the arcade. Had it on the saturn when I was 13 and was my first insane game rage moment in life lol . Was the level where you were on your bike, quite sure it was near the end of the game. There was just one point I kept screwing up repeatedly again and again lol. Ahhh good times though.

I agree completely, Earthworm Jim 2 was alot better then the original, granted the first was and still is a very fun game to this day but the sequal was alot better. My favourite would be Puppy Love (the puppy catching mini-game) or that level where you had to dig out of the ground with your gun.

Was that the level with the mozart style piano score as the music?

Actually wasn't the one with the Mozart music the level where Jim is turned into a blind caved salamander? The level where you are using your gun to dig out is called Lorenzo's soil (at least in the Genesis/Mega Drive version)

I'm a bit rusty on my Earthworm Knowledge but im pretty sure the gun digging one has the mozart music on the SNES, maybe it was differnt for each console but you could be right. I'd have to do some research and get back to you on that one.

Cheers for pointing it out though

If they were, I hope they would base the HD version on the 32-bit Saturn or Playstation versions, but I'm not sure that would happen since the original hasn't been based on the Sega Mega-CD special edition (no Big Bertha).

As for music on the levels, it was Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven that was used in EW2 on the Blind Cave Salamander level, The Villi People (1st movement)

and the final level, See Jim Run, Run Jim Run, racing against Psycrow (3rd movement).

Good thing about the Sega Saturn, most of the music on games was in redbook audio format. Stick it in a CD Player and you can listen to all the music.

Puppy Love, with the marshmallow, had a track simply called "Italian Medley"

I don't think there was actually any music by Mozart in the game at all.

Definitely prefer this over the original. It was so much more puzzle-like and it had larger areas to go through.

I approve all of the positive sentiments regarding Earthworm Jim 2. I would pay for this game twice any day, and three times on Saturdays.

WTF!!! Why have they not come out with this game on xbla?!?!? It is awesome and I KNOW they will sell the heck out of it if it did come to the arcade. I would just luv to play it over and over again on my 360, with or without cheevos. I'm gonna call up M$ right now and deMAND them to make this a xbl arcade game.
