The story is focused on the Skrulls, who are trying to take over planet Earth, and it's up to the Avengers to stop them! (There's not really much more to the story.) This is a tag team fighting game, but you won't get tired from punching and kicking the whole time. If you don't mind standing up, then you could play this game for a couple hours with no problem. The game play is fairly simple to grasp. You'll mainly be moving your arms around and kicking to perform their super moves. Learn to use them effectively to string combos and you will become a pro in no time. As far as achievements go, they are pretty straight forward and you won't really have any trouble unlocking most of them; just the Trial and Character challenges will become time consuming. Some will be easy, others will be a pain.

Step 1: Complete the training challenges
First, head over to Training so you can learn how to play. To get there, start from the main menu, then select; Fight Modes > Challenges > Training. Complete all 5 of those challenges and you should have unlocked;

Counter 10
Dodge This 5
Breaker 5
Impressive feet 5
Supercharged 5
Escapist 5
Combo 5
Tag Combo 5
Student 30

Step 2: Arcade Mode
Next, head over to Arcade Mode and complete all of those matches. If you currently have another person to play with, ask them to play so you can knock out those co-op achievements as well.

After completing Arcade Mode, you should unlock.

King of the Hill 20 (Earns 20 UPlay points)
Team Power 10 (If you played Co-op)
Power Duo 5 (If you played Co-op) This one is glitchy for some.
Symbiosis 5 (If you played Co-op) This one is glitchy for some.

Step 3: Campaign
Now it's time to play Campaign. In the earlier fights of story mode, try to win a match without getting hit and one without changing characters. You will find them much easier to complete then. There's only 41 fights to win, so campaign mode won't take you more than a couple hours.

Once you've completed campaign, you should have unlocked;

Here I am 5 (Earns 10 UPlay points)
Pioneers 5
Avengers 5
Army of One 50
Fearless 50
Untouchable 50
Earth United 30 (Earns 30 UPlay points)
Experienced 20
Closure 100 (Earns 40 UPlay points)
Adamantium 50

Step 4: Tournament Mode, Special Teams
Next is Tournament Mode. This is a multiplayer mode only, so it will be an easy to beat. Just start the game up by yourself and defeat all of the other opponents. After that, select Versus Mode and win with every character pair. The pairs required for their corresponding achievement are in the guide below.

Step 5: Trial and Character Challenges
This will be the most challenging and time consuming part of the game. I'd advise trying the character challenges first. There are 20 characters, and they each have 16 lessons. Each person should take about 10 minutes to finish their lessons. So in total, these should take you roughly 3 hours to finish.

Once you've completed all of their lessons, next go and work on the Trials; there are 20 of them. These will really put your skills to the test, so learn to play smart and use your super moves and breakers effectively.

After completing these, you should unlock;

Completist 150
Trialist 50

Final Step: Achieving Highest Rank
You should have pretty much every achievement by now and half way to the Legend achievement. If you are still missing any campaign related achievements, just replay the mission and knock those out the way. You will also be working on your rank as you play. See Legend achievement for more info.

This is a pretty good game if you're into all things Marvel. You might even have some fun while you're going for those achievements. This game can get tedious at times when you're fighting battles, so don't let it burn you out. Some of the Trials may get hard, but with trial and error, you will eventually beat them!
