Agreed! Definitely should not be mentioned in this thread, in my opinion.

The Amazing Spiderman wasn't too bad, but it was pretty flashy(for my tastes).

I'd say:
Spider-man: 8/10
Spider-man 2: 7.5/10
Spider-man 3: 4/10
The Amazing Spider-man: 6.5/10

I might be going out on a limb here, but I'd say Spider-man is the most well known, one and only superhero that truly connects with a child/pre-teen. I mean, Peter Parker is a high school student (in Spider-man and TAS) and he's seen coping with "high school dilemmas." I like how the director for TAS chose to add the scene where Peter is playing a game on his smart phone, it definitely keeps in touch with modern kids. Yet I also hate Spider-man for the same reasons. He's so one dimensional, as if he himself will always remain a kid at heart. He has his Aunt May, and Peter always has to obey and stop to think how Aunt May would view his actions as Spider-man. It's like he sees a petty thief snatching a purse, so he watches and is like "Well, if I try to return the purse, I might be home late and Aunt May will scold me." She's always behind his actions, and Peter will never learn to grow up unless she dies or something.

I think that's why most adults I know seem to have Batman set in stone as their favorite superhero.

Also, in addition to Battleship from my first post in this thread, A Christmas Story 2 and Chernobyl Diaries have been added to my "worst films of 2012" list.

I have another candidate for worst movie of 2012.

Resident Evil: Retribution

It was the worst one of the series. It was awful

The Amazing Spider-Man. There is just so much wrong with that movie. Give me Raimi's far, far superior version any day!

The Dark Knight Rises. I literally fell asleep watching it in the cinema. Waste of time and money.

Paranormal Activity whatever number they are up to. They need to stop with those movies, none of them have been good.

If you don't think this movie is the worst you must not have seen it.... at least the worst blockbuster this year that turned a profit.
I mean... the acting was horrible, especially during the end.
Also, they may have been trying to make it more like a video game, but wtf is up with the infinite ammo?
My god, the next RE coming out later this year will be awful-er

I think that it shouldn't be on the list.. I mean it was a well made movie I believe and the worst movies should be movies that weren't well made.

The worst movies can be movies that had awful stories too, you know, the actual main part of most movies. That's why ASM is on my list. No problem with the camera work, editing, CGI etc, it's the story that's crappy.

My worst film of 2012 was 'Breaking Dawn Part 2'. My Wife dragged me to see this and about half way through I thought about getting up, walking out and drowning my sorrows in the bar area... Alas (for some stupid reason) I decided against walking out and tried to watch the remainder of the film....

As soon as the credits rolled I felt an immense amount of relief wash over me !

I've seen all of the Twilight films now and they are all pretty bad, but the last one was by far the worst of the lot !

Oh God. What a disgusting movie. I loved the first four but Retribution was just 90 minutes of bullets and explosions. They ruined my favourite of the series, Ada Wong. Ugh. This was just terrible. No plot, no advancement. Nothing.

Silent Hill: Revelation 3D...movie was terrible..and Im a big fan of the series. I could barely sit through it. The whole movie was just a big mess of bad acting, dialogue, effects, and the whole story of Silent Hill 3 was pretty much absent(Birthing "God"). The hints at sequels were cool, if the director even returns. U__U

Resident Evil Retribution. Nothing really to say that hasn't been said. hahahaha.

You were at the wrong cinema. There was a lot of action in one of them, very exciting stuff.

The worst movie I watched in 2012? That's a difficult one as I watched a lot of older films last year. Let me think...

Dark Shadows wasn't as good as I was expecting.
The Devil Inside was just boring and crap.

I honestly can't think of anything else from last year, so I'll go with The Devil Inside. Terrible movie.

Heard it was hilarious, but I found it just awful.
I could hardly make it through the whole movie, which happens very rarely for me.

Just watched Dark Shadows and am - painfully - sitting through Rock of Ages. My girlfriend wanted to see it. Fell asleep halfway through Dark Shadows, and Rock of Ages is just really... Blah. The story has been done. The acting is meh. A bunch of decent and good songs turned into crap cover songs. And Cruise sucks at pretending to be a singer. He has zero stage presence and his voice isn't that great. Hell, Matt Damon in Euro Trip was better at being a lead singer in just the little bit he was in.

"Thunderstruck." The only reason anybody was to watch this movie is because Kevin Durant was in. I rented it from RedBox and it was your typical "kid is nerd, new girl moves from a different city, something miraculous happens, kid becomes popular, leaves his old friends behind kind of movie." It wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen but it was easily the corniest movie I've ever seen.

Haha I can't help it, I am kind of a fangirl for the Amazing Spiderman. Plus I have a huge crush on Andrew Garfield..!

I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

Fixed that for you.

The Devil Inside could be added to this list as well.

The Dark Knight Rises was a movie where I got lost with the plot all the way through.
