Detective Mode

Did anyone else feel like they missed out on how pretty this game is because they spent the entire game in detective mode trying not to miss any collectibles? I just ran around the world after finishing up the Riddler challenges just so I could see what the world looked like. I didn't realize how gorgeous it was, albeit a bit dark. Kinda Fallouitish, but a little less depressing.

It is funny how one might spend most of the game in the detective mode - it does make things easier by highlighting clues and enemies, and it doesn't have to be recharged or anything!

Personally I tried to stay far away from Detective mode.

It just seemed to mess with my eyes after a while and made things more difficult when fighting large groups of enemies.

I completely agree with you Mercyforme. This game was beautifully put together with an amazing dark and twisted atmosphere that really made you feel like this is a place for maniacs and major villains.

I would run around in Detective mode for most of the game, but when it came time to fight, I would have to switch back to Normal mode because the rapid movement while fighting in Detective Mode would cause some eye strain. Arkham Asylum was the first "comic book hero" game where I actually felt like I was the character and not just playing the game as them...if that makes any sense. LOL
