Here is a good seed -2047280312

It should spawn you on a small-ish island with a cave not too far away with iron and coal near the surface and further down a few dungeons, it also has a big ravine to the north of the island with a fortress at the bottom and a easy to find end portal. A desert to the east of the island with a village and a couple of mushroom biome near the top of the map and to the west. Also has at least 2 abandoned mine shafts(but you do need to do alot of mining to find these)

Thank you, this helped me out big time!

If anyone is wondering, this seed works. The dungeon is located in the desert in the top left quadrant of the map. Not sure of the exact coordinates.

I'm looking for a seed that makes it easier to find Emeralds and Diamonds. Does any one have a seed yet?

- confirmed abandoned mineshaft @ x: -3, z: 260 (easy access from swamp via a waterfall)
- confirmed nether fortress with blaze spawner and nether wart; lots of material for the taking (nether brick, iron bars, nether fence and nether brick stairs)
- 5 full villages all in close proximity (6th at the top of the map, cut off though)

no mushroom biome
I've found a mushroom biome at X: -239 Y: 72
It's an island in the ocean but it's defo there, which makes this a really good seed.

For anyone who plays on Beta 1.3-1.7 on 360 or PC, if you want the greatest seed, use cereal
There's pumpkins, trees, sugar, sand, clay, flowers, and many caves, shallow and deep, near the spawn. One cave, over a hill leading to desert mountains, has plenty of coal and is ideal for building a house in. I have found 16 spawners in the seed, two of which are in the deep cave next to the spawn. I found both music discs. There is plenty of visible iron, coal, redstone, and gold in the caves. If you break down one of the dungeon walls in the cave next to the spawn, the one with chests, you will find diamonds, lapis and coal. Email me at spidercookie@hotmail.com for coordinates. I have no pictures, sorry Oh, and I found underground plants. The seed has many oddities.

otter shenanigans in Italy is mainly an ocean world with random mushroom biome islands.

sectumsempra has a huge forest biome with 2 ravines next to each other, loads of extreme hills and big desert areas. Interesting world and wRoth a look.

Created a world with the seed (Mojo Jojo)
It is full of mountains, dungeons, has snow terrain, and desert
Found a mountain with a huge dungeon inside, has plenty of coal and iron, water source in the dungeon. From the outside it there is a waterfall with a pond.
To the opposite a mountain with lava waterfalls into a water pond

Edit: I found another set of diamonds at 223, 15, -83 Also a huge cave in this area, tons of lava with water nearby, gold/iron/redstone as well

No worries, glad you liked it. Thanks for that, I've currently been busy so I haven't had a lot of time to find stuff and update the list. Not sure how much more I want to do on this as we may need to create a new world when we get jungle biomes.

skanky ostrich

This seed gave me a large land mass. 2 large forest biomes, 1 large grassland biome, extreme hills and 2 small deserts and 1 small swamp. Very tiny snow biome on the west. In the middle of the ocean is a mushroom biome. Some ravines as well, plus quite a few cave entrances around the spawn point. Animals spawn there like crazy too.

the seed is called "Wasser"

(German for water)

It expectedly generates a large ocean world dotted with Mushroom Biomes; there are enough resources for it to be played on survival, but the spawn is nowhere near any non-mushroom landmass.

Seed: stimulating undercover midgets

Spawn right by a ravine that's in a swamp biome. Goes right down to an aabandoned mineshaft. Which in turn leads to a stronghold. There are loads of ores to find down here. Watching the missus play and it's looking pretty good so far.

Entropy_Cascade_Failure_Map:Entropy_Cascade_Failure_Map_TU8_Framed:Entropy_Cascade_Failure_Map_TU9_Framed:ECF_SpawnAndTU9Stronghold (spawn top center left (tu8 Stronghold), TU9 Stronghold right side):
Seed: Entropy Cascade Failure

The map is similar for both TU8 generated and TU9 generated with minor variations being Stronghold location and if the villages are full villages or just wells. I've included in game screenshots of framed maps from a version of the world fully explored on TU8 and one fully explored on TU9..

Spawn right near an entrance to a near surface exposed (moved slightly with TU9 and buried) Stronghold with an End frame. Easy access to plenty of nearby resources can use either nearby cave or stronghold.

A
s the map show; the seed seems to have a nice variety of the Biomes except mushroom being a bit weak on the desert biome only having a small beachlike one on the very southern part with cacti. overall it generates some very nicely varied terrain. The mountains with that desert biome on the southern side looks great.

If you looking for a good ocean seed

doghouse

Mainly ocean with two large islands and a one small island.

One of the larger island is all desert and then the other large island is forest. The smaller island is grass.

I went back to playing around with Minecraft to mess with creative mode, and stumbled on a really good one if you want a massive cave system. Seed 875822714 (or "war damn eagle" without the quotes; pretty sure that is what I put in). Great flat building areas near a little town where I spawned, along with by far the largest cave system I've seen, and have gotten lost in several times exploring the offshoots on - http://youtu.be/9rumlbJP368

Yeah Burnout. Share the wealth.

I'm getting the itch to throw time at this again, and I'm looking for a map like the screenie you've shown. I love that type of landscape, not a fan of flat worlds.

Honestly though, I want a world with everything, but mostly a large tall island in the middle so I can build me a Pirate Island fortress. Anyone got any ideas? (points for anyone who can guess what I've been watching too much of just lately (tip: my kids of 2 and 3 are addicted to it at the moment)).

-Beautiful deep and complex cavern system, rich with iron and coal. I'd like to hope there's gold and diamonds in there too, was too sleepy to continue. Started at 10:30 and stayed up 'til midnight. Had 40 iron and a full stack of coal from my short stint down there.

Cons
-Land is very hilly, if you love flat land, this ain't the map for you.

Will explore more tonight and post pics.
do you have the seed # for this? Is there actually a castle grayskull already made?

tried this today, is a pretty good seed, a bit flat for my liking but loads of caves to explore is good, 1 right next to the spawn.

My sister and I have been playing the seed "magic" (it may be a capital, unfortunately I don't remember.) It's an amazing seed that spawns you right next to a ravine that has a stronghold at the bottom, a slime spawning chunk, the end portal room is the exposed part of the stronghold and there's an abandoned mineshaft below that so it's a fantastic starter. There's also a mushroom biome in this world and villages though they're a little walk but it has literally everything.

NagusNightshade's Gamercard
Ry'leh

Near to spawn point at coords X: 174 Y: 65 Z: 192 a huge chasm, leads into a massive cave system, easy to get lost in, but with abundant coal and iron deposits, a fair bit of Lapis Lazuli, and some deposits of gold, red stone, and diamond.

Biggest hazard so far is the long drops and lava flows. Recommend making a lot of signs and using them to prevent getting lost.

Alas, no non-Euclidian shapes or Cyclopean architecture, or tentacle-faced dragons named Cthulhu.

Another cave system @ X: -183 Y: 64 Z: 277

Again, plenty of coal and iron. Not much in the way of other resources here. Many dead-ends that are not (If you know what to look for). Take caution when digging upward, several parts of this cave system is only a few blocks below ocean floor. DANGER: There is a monster spawner in the cave system, which is again easy to get lost in. Two chests near monster spawner have thread, cocoa beans, red stone, and some other less than spectacular items.

Surrounding area has a decent-sized surface iron deposit.

X: 83 Y: 65 Z: -48

Two surface lava ponds set in the middle of a forest. Beware getting too close if there are still trees close by, standing by a tree as it suddenly catches fire is not fun, especially if you accidentally fall in the lava, while trying to make a run for the water.

Notable Surface features

For this part, I am dividing the map up into a grid of 9 sectors in the following manner:

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

Sector 1 Hilly terrain, with deep valley in center, some caves, arctic biome, and desert shared with Sector 2.

Sector 2 Hilly Grasslands with a patch of desert shared by Sector 1

Sectors 3 & 6 are primarily a lot of sheer cliffs, and deep valleys, riddled with caves some leading into more resource rich networks easy to lose your way in, and others just making shortcuts to the other sides of mountains, and nice shelters.

Sector 5 Mostly swamps (X: -59 Y: 67 Z: 3 you will find a big pumpkin patch here)

Sector 7 More Swamps

Sector 8 Mostly Ocean bordering Swamps

Sector 9 Desert. With a big sea-side lake.

All in all, this map is absolutely riddled with cave systems that seem to go on forever, and will test the limits of your sense of direction. For those Lovecraft fans that recognize the seed name. This is more like more like the City of Leng, than the Island of Ry'leh. Bold explorers prepare to get lost in your quest for resources.

Does anyone have a seed that generates a massive jungle biome? Everyone that I have found is a relatively small jungle. Plan on making a huge tree village.
