Question about Dawnguard/Vampires questilne

Not sure if it been asked but is anybody know if I join the dawnguard and then I find the recruits to finally be able to craft some crossbows and other anti-vampire weapons, can I change side with the vampires or is it too late in the questline ?

I've not begin dawnguard DLC yet but I know I want to join the vampires and after that I want to bretay them with dawnguard weaponnery.

Is it possible ?

No, you permanently choose your faction in Dawnguard when you meet Harkon.

Spoiler! (click here to reveal)

You sure ? Because I've seen some people talking about we could switch side at some point...

Although, I'm guessing you're telling me that if I was able to craft the anti-vampire weapons, I will be too far in the questline to switch.

Right ? or not ?

Sounds like you've been misinformed, you aren't officially part of the Dawnguard until you return from Harkon after denying his offer to turn you into a vampire; on the other hand, you aren't officially part of the Vampire faction until you accept Harkon's gift, even if you have already contracted vampirism.

Thanks for the information.

For the rest, I'll try to work this out on my own.

You get one choice when the Vampire Lord offers you his blood. If you refuse, then you can't e in the vampire faction unless you load a previous save.
