Double Eagle Legend Challenge

The 1935 Legend challenge where you have to hit it in the cup for double eagle. I can barely clear the water and getting it in the circle let alone the cup is close to impossible. I am looking for any tips.

You can try going to the "spoon" but either way, you MUST overswing.

Use the spoon (3 wood), cursor in center of ball (it starts way to the right), adjust the aim a couple taps to the right. Must have a little overswing and a full red on the follow through. Then pray!

I thought this was bad until I got to the Nicklaus 1972 challenge. Eagle from the fairway at Pebble #8 and hole in one #17 Pebble with at least a 12 mph wind.

This one was hard. I used the default club and aiming reticle and just adjusted the power up to maximum added power. A lot of overswing and a little extra speed should put the ball near the cup. After that its all luck and a little ball spin. I took probably close to 400 shots before I got it... and then had a beer to celebrate haha.

Good thing is that the wind is always the same and doesn't change direction during your reloads so all you need to do is fine-tuning.

Try this:
- Set difficulty to Amateur so you don't have to adjust for the lie
- Use the Spoon as your club and set it to just 194 yards not the full 196 yards
- Aim a bit to the right - When you adress the ball the left part of your aim marker should still be within the hole marker
- Get a perfect/perfect swing
- Tap the spin button as much as you can but leave it straight (topspin)

The ball should now land just on the edge of the green and roll towards the hole. Depending on whether it rolls slightly left or right of the hole you need to adjust your aim a bit more on the next try.
This is how I got it.

I used the driver and aimed 2 taps to the right and maybe a square or 2 past the hole. Now hit a perfect swing, no red needed like the spoon shot needs. This would make the ball land perfectly in the middle of the river and skip perfectly on to the green. A little front spin and a few practices and you should get it in no time. Also, I did this on Normal swing so make sure your cursor is in the middle of the ball. Ended up getting it twice in a row this way. I found it too hard to hit red overswing and red power hit all in one swing with the spoon.

Set difficulty to Amateur.

I extended the spoon to maxium, without moving either left or right. The marker should be just infront of the river.

Do perfect power and perfect swing then about 15-17 taps north east.

I'd get one in every 1 in 5 goes!

Changing difficulties, just like in previous years, has no bearing on the challenges. The difficulty setting is only for quick play, career, etc. Each challenge has its own, predetermined difficulty setting.

This just is not true. It affects the sensitivity of the shot stick, and it also affects whether the strike meter is automatically centered for you. Changing difficulty does have an effect in the Legends of the Majors challenges.

For this one I used Goots' method and got it within 10-15 minutes of trying. It's nice and repeatable unlike many of the later challenges where the wind is different every time you retry so you can't make small adjustments if you just barely miss.
