Welcome to the famous mobile game that is Doodle Jump now moved onto Kinect for Xbox 360. It looks very similar to its mobile counterpart. The Kinect integration is very well performed but some ledges can be quite the pain because you may find yourself jumping over the ledge by an inch, it is fun none the less. The achievements are a lot easier than the Windows 7 phone version which is a great improvement since they were very hard to get. I would give this a 6/10 for achievement difficulty because of three achievements that require you to get 3 stars. These are Cave Master, Sky Master, and Hive Master. I do recommend this game though because it does offer hours of fun and carries with it an easy amount of gamer score.
Like the mobile game you must get to the top of the level and land on the finish flag to proceed to the next level. With the Kinect you move left to right to direct the character also you are given the opportunity to shoot by pointing your arms in whichever direction you want. You can also jump on or avoid the monsters to gain some extra points towards getting 3 stars on that specific level. You are also given special power ups like a Rocket pack, Wings, and more. Unlike the original there is an end to the level that looks like a giant flag this can also get you lots of points if you land in the center of it. In addition the achievements can be attained in multiple levels so if you have trouble getting Rocket Man on one level you can always try a different level. on the very first level you can get 3 achievements in one go, these are Bank It, Clean Run, and Bullseye.
There are quite a lot of levels in this game though they are not impossible. There are 3 Worlds , these are the Cave world, Sky world, and the Hive world. Each of these has 10 levels inside them (9 normal levels with a boss level). Overall about 30 levels but the times to complete each of them may differ. There are achievements for completing the worlds with 3 stars on all levels and their bosses which can rack you up a total of 300 gamerscore. Then you will usually get Lone Ranger and Kinect King while going through every level.
This game has a very easy achievement list that can be completed in a couple of hours depending on experience. Most will be gained by playing the game legitimately and replaying the levels for 3 stars. This game has a fun bunch of achievements never the less and should be enjoyable the entire time. Good luck!
