Dawnguard & Dragonborn Difficulty Question?

Hello

I Have just started playing Skyrim Legendary edition, I am about 13hrs in and I am only a level 13, 51 with archery

I have been given both Dawnguard & Dragonborn DLC quests

My question is, only been a level 13 will these quests be really hard/difficult for me? will the bad guys be really string and kill me straight away?

Or is it playable on my low level?

Thank you for your time

P.S - I placed this is the main Skyrim forum as it was about both DLC's and not an individual one. Cheers

I would hold off on starting them. Probably around level 30-40 maybe? I was around 55 so hopefully someone lower can confirm!

I was 70 when I started and wastly overpowered...

but I know some who have finished the main-game at level 1.
since all monsters and NPC scale with you.

so I wouldn't sweat it... start the quests you find and if you come against something you can't handle, then either flee or load the last save, go back to skyrim and level up some more.

the one thing you should *not* do is powerlevel the non-combat skills (alchemy, smithng, etc), as it will make enemies have level 30 (let's say) health, while you do level 10 damage.

I'm in the 20's and it isn't difficult for me at all. As someone above said, pretty sure they scale the enemies to your level.

I don't think the enemies have a level. I think leveling up and getting perks simply makes it easier to murder and massacre every bandit you see.

well no. For me the game gets harder and harder the more you level up.

at level 1-5, I can kill pretty much anything with a single arrow or fireball.

and level 120, even with the strongest bow or magic in the game, fully perked and smithed up, doesn't even take out half the health of your garden-variety rat, sorry, skeever.

it doesn't really matter

The great thing about Skyrim is that whether it IS too hard or not, if you're having trouble with it, you can just go do something else. I remember on my first ever playthrough (a stealth archer Nord 'King') I got stuck on a mission at level 11 where I had to kill a giant, and just thought nah fuck it and left it. Found the mission later on in the game...40 levels later and went back and killed that bitch with one shot of my mighty uber bow.
Basically - start it and see what you think. The Dawnguard is a lot of fun and the Dragonborn quests have great story lines
