Ah Bodycount... one of a kind...
I picked this game because... because what? I don't know, i was lookng for some easy style FPS a la Quake, with accessible mechanics, to change a bit from COD, to enjoy classic FPS once again... But in the end... how a mess that game was...
I mean... the gameplay was ok, at least to me... it was not great, but it was playable enough. Its true the aiming was a bit weird but overall it was not bad at all... The destructible environement was nice but this is where it all end in term of good points...
The game was flat... it was uninspired, it didn't had anything going for itself. You just kept shooting in pretty uninspired levels finishing them with no storyline, no nothing... Even at the end... you finish the game and your still like "where the f... is the storyline"
The online was ... well you all know how those online end up... dead in 2 weeks... it made no exeption. The coop was kinda decent, it was actually a challenge to finish up the map but who would waste time playing that again and again once you got achievements?
Talking of achievements, this is probably the game best feature, they pop like popcorn as you go trough the game... exept the co-op ones and the hard difficulty one, the rest is super simple...
In any case, i was lucky to be able to sell this game for 27 bucks, when i still paid it 70 with taxes... but considering its probably selling for 5$ today...
If you just want to rack up easy achievements and you can have it for 5$, why not... go for it... but this game should had been sell for 15$ from the get go... thats the problem... It was not bad or mediocre or bugged like Turning Point... it was just a souless FPS... no story, no trademark ennemies or fun part(like Doom for exemple) you just go trough the motion and wait for the next "POP... achievement unlock" ...
Thats what i tough of Bodycount... and why i came and made a kinda review today about it... i dunno... i just had it in mind ....
