As far as the guide goes, maybe possible to list what level you unlock each upgrade at (specifically for the construct based achievements).

Also, just suggest one playthrough with a 2nd controller nearby. No need to play through the entire game twice! Then the other person would have to also grind out the rest of the achievements, and that will get very boring for both players.
Thanks for the clarification...that makes a lot more sense and probably the way to go for beating it on Emerald Knight.

Smile 99 combo achievement

Me and my friend found that the easiest way to get the combo is in the fourth level when groups of enemies spawn with shields, and you have to destroy the pink thing to remove the shields. Instead of going for the pink thing, get out your gatling gun and spray at the enemies, 99 combo no problemo

99-combo achievement. I got this on the very first level. Really easy. Play on Emerald Knight difficulty. When you get to the section where there are 3 waves of floating mines, on the final wave just use the Ring Blaster attack and you easily hit 99.

This game is definitely a rental. Using this great guide, I beat it for the full 1000 in about 5 or 6 hours....maybe 7 but that is pushing it.

For Synergy you have start the level with 2nd player in as well. No adding the mat the last few moments of the level to get the achievement. Like someone else mentioned it's handier to just put them in on a flying level (example: mission 2). No mucking with moving 2 characters about.

UPDATE - Or I could be quite wrong. Didn't unlock how I assumed it would after the first level with a dropped in 2nd controller didn't work then also a 2nd controller from start to finish didn't work. Bugged for me for the time being. I didn't have a profile loaded on the 2nd so will try that way now. :|

UPDATE 2 - Yep, that did it. Start to finish mission 5 (another flying mission) with a profile in the 2nd controller.

For the Shut Your Mouth achievement, you can just go to the enemies that are carrying shields, not too close so they don't spot you, and spam the B button. Every grab counts as a hit.

You should add this to the Road Map:
Extra equipment needed: Additional controller.

I've seen it in many guides on this site.

Thank you! Out of curiosity, when does an Achievement Guide go from a Forum thread like this, to the main website?

Just a suggestion but I would recommend putting a note in the guide saying that Level 10 is the best way to grind for the remaining purchases you need. I say this because if I would have known that was the case I would have saved myself a bit of time grinding. Nonetheless it's still a good guide.

Nice guide, will be using it later as I've just got the game from LoveFilm. Hopefully it wont take too long to finish!

I had no problem dropping in during the last fight of the chapter and getting the achievement. No profile on the 2nd controller.

Helped me. I was wondering which level would be best to boost points. Thanks.

*UPDATE*
I got 20,000+ on level 9 on both Poozer and Emerald Knight. It's a good level to gather points but it doesn't give you 50,000+ no matter how hard you try.
