B1indSide
This game is actually really easy to get 200 points in, basically because you can cheat through the whole thing. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/yG/mE/1YCLiGJhbC9FFQUXXFJRFzIwL2FjaC8wLzEAAAAA5+fn+qtp0w==.jpg Beat The Basics 10http://live.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/G_Icon_External.gif Complete all the tutorials. - All you have to do is in the menus, go to "help & options" and then "tutorial" and complete the 5 tutorials in 'Controls' and the 3 tutorials in 'Sudoku Fundementals' and the achievements is yours. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/F3/Pn/04CLiGJhbC9AFQUXXFJRFzIwL2FjaC8wLzQAAAAA5+fn-MhzDA==.jpg Natural 10http://live.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/G_Icon_External.gif Solve 10 puzzles without any helpers. - go into the menu, choose "help & options," "settings" and the "helpers" and put both 'AutoPencil' and 'Show Errors' to OFF. Then just start a casual single player game of 6x6 on Easy and complete 10 of them. Once you are done, put both helpers back on because 'AutoPencil' is the cheat to finish this game quickly. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/rG/7h/0oCLiGJhbC9MFQUXXFJRFzIwL2FjaC8wLzgAAAAA5+fn-c5utw==.jpg Too Fast 20http://live.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/G_Icon_External.gif Complete a single player 9x9 puzzle in 1 minute and 20 seconds. - This seems like it would be hard but because AutoPencil is active (see above achievement on where to toggle it) it tells you the answer. Start a casual 9x9 puzzle on easy. Now you will notice in the empty box you are highlighting that one or two numbers are black (or darker colored on some) and the rest are grey. The answer is the black one. Sometimes there will be more than one black number so u can come back to it, but on easy it shouldn't happen often and you can usually figure it out pretty quick. So use the right stick to select the black number and keep doing this until the puzzle is solved. Not at all hard. And this technique is what you will be using from now on. ADDITION: Go to 'Help & Options' and then 'Settings' and then 'Theme' and change change it to "360 Degrees" as its default settings show you all the AutoPencils in every single empty box, making it much quicker to locate the ones with only one one dark number (or dot), especially on those 12x12 puzzles. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/on/rG/0YCLiGJhbC9DFQUXXFJRFzIwL2FjaC8wLzcAAAAA5+fn-ul6uQ==.jpg Time Bandit 15http://live.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/G_Icon_External.gif Beat the time limit for 10 puzzles in Timed mode. - Start a single player 'Timed' 6x6 on Easy. Even without using AutoPencil, this should be no trouble. You start off with 3 minutes on the clock and a puzzle like this will take between 20-40 seconds. Just rinse and repeat 10 times for the achievement. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/fW/Cl/14CLiGJhbC9GFQUXXFJRFzIwL2FjaC8wLzIAAAAA5+fn+IpgZg==.jpg Sampler 10http://live.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/G_Icon_External.gif Complete a puzzle of each difficulty. - Do a casual 6x6 puzzle on easy, medium and hard difficulties. Again, even without AutoPencil on a 6x6 is very easy to accomplish. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/7p/hF/1oCLiGJhbC9HFQUXXFJRFzIwL2FjaC8wLzMAAAAA5+fn+WqY9Q==.jpg Super Sizes 20http://live.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/G_Icon_External.gif Beat a puzzle in each grid size: 6x6, 8x8, 9x9, and 12x12. - By now, you've already done 6x6 and 9x9, so just do a casual 8x8 and 12x12 on Easy and with AutoPencil on. Again, just pick the black or darker colored number. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/hI/sH/0oCLiGJhbC9BFQUXXFJRFzIwL2FjaC8wLzUAAAAA5+fn-SiLnw==.jpg Friend And Foe 10http://live.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/G_Icon_External.gif Complete 1 puzzle in Co-op, Team Battle, and Duel in Xbox LIVE mode - For this, all you have to do is play against a friend in a 6x6 Easy puzzle player match (does not have to be ranked) on Xbox Live and complete (this means WIN) a game of Co-op, Team Battle and Duel. If you're boosting for this, you will play five games total because in Co-op you both win, while the other two modes you will trade wins. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/S3/Ke/0oCLiGJhbC82FQUXXFJRFzIwL2FjaC8wL0IAAAAA5+fn-bFyUA==.jpg Wired 20http://live.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/G_Icon_External.gif Complete 20 Xbox LIVE Games. - See "Socialite" achievement below. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/-n/u-/0ICLiGJhbC81FQUXXFJRFzIwL2FjaC8wL0EAAAAA5+fn-5B75Q==.jpg Socialite 25http://live.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/G_Icon_External.gif Complete 25 Multiplayer Games, in either Online or Local Multiplayer game play. - After getting the Friend or Foe achievement, you will already have gained 3 multiplayer completions. So all you have to do to save time, is play 22 more 6x6 Co-op matches on easy, this way you both get completions at the same time. Takes 40 seconds per game, and you will be done in 15 minutes, picking up the Wired achievement along the way. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/MY/Im/0ICLiGJhbC9CFQUXXFJRFzIwL2FjaC8wLzYAAAAA5+fn-wmCKg==.jpg Buku Bank 10http://live.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/G_Icon_External.gif Reach 2,500,000 Buku Score. - See "Grand Master" achievement below. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/2I/p+/04CLiGJhbC83FQUXXFJRFzIwL2FjaC8wL0MAAAAA5+fn-FGKww==.jpg Grand Master 30http://live.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/G_Icon_External.gif Earn 10,000,000 Buku Score any way you want. - The quickest and easiest way to get fast cash is to play singleplayer casual on a 12x12 puzzle set to easy with AutoPencil ON. There will be two and three black DOTS (numbers where too big so now we're working with dots) here often, but just skip them for now and find the ones with a single black dot. They will dwindle out as you progress. (Tip: Go to 'Help & Options' and then 'Settings' and then 'Theme' and change change it to "360 Degrees" as its default settings show all AutoPencil marks at once, making it really quick and easy to locate single pencil marks.) Each puzzle takes 1-2 minutes and gets you about 150,000 points. So just play 70 of these and you will surpass 10,000,000 points in roughly 3.5 hours, give or take. - Another Method noted by user Marx0r, is if you can't do the 12x12 puzzles in under 2 mins, to switch to 9x9 on Easy as you can net 85,000 points finishing in one minute. http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/P5/YB/04CLiGJhbC9NFQUXXFJRFzIwL2FjaC8wLzkAAAAA5+fn-C6WJA==.jpg Master 20http://live.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/G_Icon_External.gif Complete 200 puzzles in total across the game. - And this should be the last achievement you get, and at this point you only need to play about 80-90 more games, so just put it to 6x6 on easy, and let the AutoPencil solve them for you. TOTAL PLAYTIME USING THESE METHODS ABOVE: 5 Hours Again AutoPencil is your friend, see the description in the "Too Fast" achievement if you have no idea what that is or just missed it. Hope this helps everyone out, although I'm sure you all figured this stuff out 5 mins into playing this game, but you never know. -B1indSide Edited June 2, 2008 by B1indSide

Wes Ide
Just wanna point out that if you do a 12x12 grid on Hard w/ autopencil and Deluxe helpers to assist you, you get 250K points for completing it.
HxS F4T4L1TY
Wow. That is good information. I love Sudoku anyway, but a quick 200 should help a little in my current 360Voice challenge, as well as give me something really fun to do ('sides Carcassonne) while I continue waiting for my regular unit to get back from M$. Sudoku + your guide FTW!

B1indSide
true Wes Ide, but it takes a lot longer doing trial and error, and there are never any single numbers/dots squares on hard, they're usually with three or four numbers/dots. I was completing 12x12 on easy using the 360 degrees Theme in 1min30secs for 150,000. So in 2mins15secs you get 250,000. I'm not positive that you can complete a hard 12x12 grid in less then 3mins, but I could be wrong. Everyone should try it and see... I did once, and just said "forget this" and went back to my Easy. So yes, I never finished it and can't verify it, but if someone does, let us know how long it took and your point score. I was just going for quickest and easiest and I assumed what I was doing was. Plus I wanted to get more games done towards my 200. At 8 million I actually switched to 6x6 and was cranking them out in 15 secs for 30,000 points. So 120,000 points a minute plus getting four completions out if the way. And now I'm rambling...
Wes Ide
Definitely, I figure it all depends on how quickly you can get thru the 12x12 grids. I was just throwing it out there for those with lightning reflexes
B1indSide
And thank you "tastefulmrship" and "HxS F4T4L1TY" for your positive remarks. I've never written a guide before so it's nice to know I did a decent job, but I'll admit the game was easy and not much description was needed on my part. MajinFro
blindside you might want to update your guide with these tips. Saves alot of time. http://www.soduko.org/sudoku-solver.php there is a 9x9 solver there. If you can memorize the solution to a 9x9 (I have LE13 memorized), you can just repeat the same puzzle for all of the achievements that you can do a 9x9 on easy with i.e. 200 puzzles played, 1 min 20 sec, 10 timed, 10 without helpers, Boku Score, etc. The fastest time I could get after memorizing was 40 seconds and at a 50 second average I was geetting 94k per a puzzle in score. After you get your 10 million, I would just memorize the same 6x6.

He has LE40 go memorized that he can finish it and get 92-95,000 buku points in under 30 seconds, and got about 160 of the 200 puzzles that way. I still have to get those two cause I can only so so much of that grind at a time.
Marx0r
Extremely good guide for a first time. The only thing I have to say is that for Grand Master, using the same method, but for a 9x9 on Easy works quicker. 85,000 points in 1 minute beats 150,000 in 3. And it's not worth memorizing puzzles, seeing as how you save about 5 seconds per round but it takes you 10 extra seconds to set up.
ejbadger
Agreed. I've been doing the 9x9 on easy to get around the 90k per puzzle, depending on your speed. Took me roughly an hour and a bit to rock the 2.5 mil. Also, as long as you rock out the online/multiplayer achievements, you'll have almost 30 puzzles done before you head back to single player. I agree with you on the memorizing, it takes longer to set up and who really wants to memorize a puzzle and then do it over and over again 170 times. It's a good idea MajinFro, but it just takes a little bit longer... and more effort on my brain. And the 12x12 on easy, if you change it to the "360 Degrees" THEME it shows you all autopencil marks in all empty squares at all times, so you can fly right to the single pencil marks really quick, and I was finishing 12x12 between 1 min and 1 min 30 seconds. Sure you gotta go fast, but makes it interesting I suppose. No, not really. But I will add the 9x9 tip because some people might prefer it. Thanks guys. Otisbum
I'm just using 6x6 on easy to get both 10mil and 200 games. Only 30k per game, but they only tend to last about 20-25 sec.

zlionsfan
... And the 12x12 on easy, if you change it to the "360 Degrees" THEME it shows you all autopencil marks in all empty squares at all times, so you can fly right to the single pencil marks really quick, ... All of the themes will display autopencil marks in all squares, but it's not the default setting. To get them to show up, you need to go to Advanced Settings and choose a color other than transparent for Unmarked Pencil. I think this hint is mentioned at some point in the game, but there was an option to turn it off and I did, so I don't remember where. (You also should ensure that in Advanced Settings, under Pencil Options, "Display in:" is set to "all cells", but I believe that is the default option.) I personally don't like the 360 theme because of the glare it puts in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. When you're doing a 12x12 puzzle, it can interfere with the marks in the cells in that corner. Aside from that, it's pretty cool, but I use the Underground Hardware theme myself. TrembL
If you want 200 puzzles as fast as possible (though low points...only about 11,000) just go to casual and set up a 6x6 on easy with auto pencil helper on. Complete every single cell EXCEPT for one. Highlight the correct answer (dont actually select it though) and then press the start button and go to Exit Game. It will ask if you want to save it and you dont, just press A to exit again. Then go back into the game setup screen and it will be listed as your autosave game. Enter it and press A and the game will be complete with :00 seconds taken. Go back to the main menu and select it again, and again, and again. 200 puzzles complete in about 10-15 minutes. But as I said, each puzzle will only be worth 11,000.....though it is still the quickest way to get massive points. That is unless you can finish a 9x9 on easy within 10 seconds. You're right, but without changing any settings or transparency colors or anything else, the only theme that works this way right off the bat is the '360 Theme' so I guess I might as well leave it as is as it's easier to change 1 theme than change 3 settings (display in, transparency and then advanced settings on before the game). Otisbum
What I ended up doing to finish the game off and get the 10mil was play 12x12 Hard with auto-pencil and show wrong answers both on. What you do is start guessing until you get about 10-15 squares finished (sounds like it takes awhile, but it really doesn't). Then you start filling in the ones where one dot is showing. Takes about 3:15 per match, and you get around 250k points. Probably not the best time-efficient method, but if you'd much rather look at point leaps than quick skips, this is the way to go. Especially if you've only got a million or two to go.

This is a pretty good idea TrembL and I tried it, but then you have to go through three menus each time to load the saved game and that adds up to time wasted, making each game take 10 seconds. So in 2 mins, you will make 132,000. But in 2 mins on 9x9 easy you get 150,000 points. So really it's up to personal preference. Either method is good.
