Hoborg
Anyone else just get so incredibly irritated and angry playing this mess of a game? Sequence 9, the fight with 13 freaking mercenaries in that camp. Kept dying when I was just down to one. The fighting in this game is bullshit broken and it forces you to do so. Why? I am an assassin, not a mass murderer. Did anyone else find this fight ridiculously hard? I literally broke the game case in anger. Threw it on the floor so it shattered. No idea if I can make it to end without either breaking the game itself or trading it in. Very sad and disappointed.
Sparda
Nope not at all. In fact that fight was easy. You just need to know the enemies and what you can do. Just hit b and X to counter the smaller ones. The big guys with large weapons either counter then hit A to disarm, or counter and hit Y with the rope dart or gun to gain an advantage. The fighting in this game isn't too tough quite honestly once you learn it. Also I've never been moved to throw or break anything whilst playing a game. Just saying. Mea Onus
I did that sequence only days ago and yet I found it minimal on the scale of terribly frustrating objectives, to the point that I'm a bit vague on what you're talking about actually. It was no final privateer mission, I'll say that. Oh and you're not an Assassin. You're a thug, with no real creed, brotherhood or any semblance of what made the previous characters bear the title of Assassin. Just saying
Konane
Cant say I recall that exact fight, but I actually found the combat to be too easy in this game. The toughest enemies in the game are the big guys that you cant disarm, but that's when I like to bust out the rope darts and get them on the ground for a quick kill. And if you are really having trouble I would suggest using smoke bombs, they make everything easy mode.
GenericNPC
You have some anger issues and a reading problem, go play the tutorial and learn how to counter attacks and also learn what enemies require you to not constantly spam X, rather than making another useless complaint thread
Hoborg
I could write a doctoral thesis on why this game is utter shit. Watch for my analysis in the bitching thread. Mod, please close this.

Mod, please close this. If it's based on things such as the reasoning behind this thread then I think I can sum up your doctoral in three words... You are incompetent. That sums it up really. Stop bitching at the game for something that is purely down to your lack of ability (but feel free to bitch about glitches) and start actually thinking about what you are doing wrong. Mod, please close this. All of Assassin's Creed games combat systems have been a joke. I could teach it to a 10 year old in about 2 minutes and they'd be an expert. If you really had THAT difficult of a time that late into the game then obviously you didn't pay attention to anything combat-wise and just mashed the counter button expecting a one hit kill on every enemy or some shit. VerifyedRasta
I agree with the OP, to some extent. There was definitely too much combat and too little assassinating in this game. There were many time when I actually forgot I was playing an Assassin's Creed game...

There were many time when I actually forgot I was playing an Assassin's Creed game... yeah you got a point there, still no rerason to smash the game case (or throwing Controllers, etc ) The only thing that suprised me when clearing the fort was that you could just walk in, kill every soldier and the captain didn't even try to run like in the previous Creed games. shinobigarth
it comes down to recognizing and remembering what enemies do what, and how you can kill them. like the regular normal guys with rifles, you can kill them almost any way. the agile dudes with 2 knives, wait for them to flip over your back, then counter kill them. and the Jagers (guys with fencing swords) and big Scottish guys with backpacks, hit B+A to knock their weapon out then attack the crap outta them. took me a while to figure it out too. i thought the Jagers could only be killed with ranged weapons for the longest time. /facepalm
SpinelesS
I found all the fighting in this game really easy. Especially when using either captain Kidd's or Lincoln's sword. If the fight your refering to is the one I think it is (with a 15 normal kills option limit) You could just spam call for your assassins, which is what I did the 2nd time I did this in the hopes of it not increasing the normal kills (it sorta helped - only 9 of the kills were counted this time)

Annalie
I agree with the OP, but i got used to the fighting system in this game. you can still insta kill everyone if you time it right. it's that damn B button that throws people off. anyways we are just used to Ezio and A'ltairs countering system. ChickinOnaChain
I don't have this game but as mad as I've gotten with games in general, I've never broken anything. Now what are you going to do for a game case?
Skorpion XBA
Funny, the same thing I always think whenever you open your mouth outside of a bitching thread (where 100% of your posts all belong). Agreed. /thread I don't have this game but as mad as I've gotten with games in general, I've never broken anything. Now what are you going to do for a game case? Some people have anger issues. The only times I've ever broken game cases were by accident lol.
UberPirateNinja
I suck at the fighting, rubbish at counters and what not. Sometimes hitting B doesn't seem to counter the enemy and I still get whacked. I usually keep attacking until my health is low, then run around avoiding enemies until my health regens and attack again and so on... I'm finding it kinda frustrating at times, I've turned the game off in a rage once or twice, but never damaged anything, learnt the hard way that not a good thing! Joypads are expensive! Shabba
Broke a laptop once, put my fist straight through the screen got it refurb on house insurance. Then I threw it at the wall. It freaking lagged bad sometimes, the wireless suxed.... No this game was easy, although my controller has suffered physically from lockpicking it isn't natural to hold the sticks like that. I raged, at my first fanorona game. I didn't like that randomness of the last sequence sometimes a wall of people would be in your way while often they weren't. Or once when trying some guy flew at me and hit me in the face knocking me over. Never enough to break anything though only shout abuse. However some errors make you want to break the game disc and throw it in the bin..... Edited November 12, 2012 by Shabba
bearmod
I actually think the combat in the game is a little too easy. All you have to do is hit B to counter and then X to attack for the smaller guys and then chain them together and the bigger guys all you have to do is disarm them then attack. The only enemy I find a little unfair is the Jagers just because it never seems like you can disarm them but even then they'll go down with a single pistol round. Sounds like you've just got some anger management issues.

It's like playing rock-paper-scissors with a time machine.

AgentOrange330
I'm about ready to break something having to wait through these end credits.
