ringmaster411
This cheevo is really giving me problems. I have just completed a second playthrough of the entire game (***** run) and i still don't have this one, i have gone back to patrol to make sure i kill someone using the magnum, i have made sure to stick with the flamethrower, to kill people with in the last mission I have changed gun every time popssible then killed someone with it before changing again, so every gun that waqs dropped i should have a kill with i have even made sure to kill people with the Piano gun, which is DLC only. Still it hasn't popped, has anyone else had problems with this one?
The19MrHockey
i have even made sure to kill people with the Piano gun, which is DLC only. I didn't kill anyone with the Piano gun. Maybe that's why? No just joking. I'm not sure why you wouldn't get it then. I got mine right after I killed a guy with the flamethrower. Maybe you missed the tommy gun? That one was hard to find
Siphon Filther
I wrote my own small list pointing out in which CD and in which case you spot a weapon for the first time. I tried it myself and I got the achievement. Disc 1 .44 Magnum: is your default gun on the Patrol cases. Go through the mission 'Armed and Dangerous', drop off the shotgun pressing and kill one of the robbers with your default gun. 12 Gauge Shotgun: again in 'Armed and Dangerous', you start the case with that. Colt .45: this is your default gun as detective. You'll get plenty of kills with it so I wouldn’t bother listing the cases, just enter in a random street crime under the Traffic file and kill one guy with your default gun. Thompson SMG: The Thompson is everywhere and most of criminals carry them around as a default gun. The earliest I spot it, was during the street crime ‘gangfight’. Kill the guy shooting at you with the automatic machine and take his gun. Browning Auto-Rifle: You'll spot this weapon for the first time in the Traffic street crime “army surplus” at the very beginning of the shooting part, on the ground. Tommy Gun (Rounded Ammo Barrel): The easiest spot to find this is during the case 'The Fallen Idol'. In the last part of the case you have to kill multiple enemies to escort a criminal on your way down from the set. You’ll eventually have to kill two enemies standing behind a wall with explosive barrels. DON’T SHOOT at the barrels, kill them normally and before blowing up the wall check the weapons they dropped, one of them is surely a Tommy gun. M1 Grand: You come across this in 'The Fallen Idol' case when fighting your way out of the theatre and in the final Arson case 'A Different Kind of War' but the earliest point for me was the street crime ‘death from above’ under the Traffic file. You just have to kill the guy who is shooting from the building on the left, climb up, take his weapon and climb up again to kill the rest of the gang with it. Disc 2 No new weapons Disc 3 Browning hi-power: Jack Kelso’s default gun. You’ll use this during 3 Arson cases: ‘House of Sticks’, ‘A Polite Invitation’, ‘A Different Kind of War’ Flamethrower: This is given automatically. In the final case 'A Different Kind of War', you'll come across a storage room which has the flame thrower inside. Entering the room will trigger a cut scene with Kelso equipping the flamethrower.
