Collectible Guide: By Tyger7

These are written directions as well as map pictures to help you get all of the collectibles in the game! There are achievements associated with gaining all costumes, all fruits, and all memory shards. Also, the life shard chests (the most common of them) will help you level your character up which is another achievement. These all add up to a good amount of achievements.

Warning: You must open the chests in the first few areas of Arkela Castle. You will not be able to go back to those areas after you leave, not even when coming back later on in the game.

Important Info About Memory Shards

Memory Shards will only appear at nightfall. Your HUD will show you what time of the day it is (besides being obviously light or dark). What it also does is show you how close you are to it becoming either day or night before it happens. This alerts you so you get somewhat of a headstart to shards you need. I have timed it and it will change about every 15 minutes, but you must be active in the game. Pausing it will pause the timer. It would be best if you just plan ahead and get all shards at night when you run around. If you have to wait 15 minutes, you can go back later or just wait it out, taking care in real life or doing whatever.

The Collectible Types

In addition to these collectibles, there are the following:

Fire Upgrade Fruit

Lightning Upgrade Fruit

Wind Upgrade Fruit

Purification Upgrade Fruit

Map Details

When you highlight the certain areas of the map, it will show you a ? symbol stating you have something else to find in that area. To check your map, press :back:. It will also show what you have gotten and the ? symbols will be gone. This is a good way to figure out where you need to look. Most of these are extremely easy to find and you really don't need a guide...but what I will say is this will save you a lot of time hunting for a few you may normally have missed.

Note: The first area in this game does not have the feature to tell you what you are missing nor what you have obtained.

Koonapipi Mines

Costume Piece (Attendant’s Decorative Sleeve): Now turn and you should see a chest that a red ladder leads up to. You can just jump over to get there. This area is also accessible by using Majin to jump up to the area with the ladder. You must ignite some bombs first though in order to break the obstacle and use the ladder.

Stamina Fruit: Again in the middle, but this time next to where you’ll have Majin crouching you should see some bombs. Grab one, ignite it, then quickly have Majin crouch so you can jump up and blow up the obstacles to get to the fruit.

You should get the achievement “Ultimate Health” after giving this last health upgrade to Majin.

This will unlock the achievement “Ultimate Flame Power”.

Four Windmills Hill

Denguey Forest Tower

Life Shards: Inside the first door you went underneath, go by the circular structure and you’ll see a lizard. Have Majin crouch there and jump up. Once up there you should see the shard towards the wall. (The way to break the seal here is to follow the path up there to a switch. Pull the switch then get on the gate that dropped. Now command Majin to lift it up).

The above location is spot on, but just to let others know its a Memory Shard and not a Life shard so wait till dark to get it.

Following the guide perfectly so far... top job!

Hey thanks! With lack of sleep not sure if I'm reading this right. Are those two different descriptions you are pointing out that are wrong, or one? Maybe put what I said, then under put the same thing with correction in red. I'll try to fix any mistakes.

Arkela Castle – Gate

Memory Shard: This is right next to the main castle gate.

Note: This can only be obtained at night.

Okay I am probably being real dumb here, but I have been through the gate 6 times now and I cant see where this item is, and it is night time, is it on top of something?

*edit never mind that mini map wasn't showing before.
