Introduction

Welcome to Triggerheart Exelica! This game has 12 achievements for 200http://www.x360a.org/images/misc/g-icon.gif and is quite difficult to complete if you're not familiar with vertical Japanese shooters. If you're new to this type of game then it may take some practice to get the full 200http://www.x360a.org/images/misc/g-icon.gif. Some of the achievements like the True Endings may confuse you at first but once you understand and read this Road Map you may just learn things you didn't know before! Remember, you will have to take your time with this game and become experienced before you can tackle some of the harder achievements. The achievement that may drive you hay-wire is Perfect Play which alone makes the game a 7/10, but if you use the tips provided below and with a bit of luck you just might snag a 200http://www.x360a.org/images/misc/g-icon.gif out of this fun and interesting shooter so lets begin.

Triggerhearts

There are 2 selectable Triggerehearts each with there own persona and abilities most players will think that the only difference between is the way they shoot but there is more as explained below.

Exelica

http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSNUEHCdGVf0EFNslz1IbRJNOQS15tw5MdU5lNd4KXQqiPpHcdj9bsvgwaU

A Triggerheart-a humanoid weapons system developed by C.H.I.L.D.A. The smallest and newest model of Triggerheart. An almost human personality combined with an impressive arsenal makes her the ultimate weapon in the war against Ver'mith.

Firing Style: Spread

Pros: Wide forward area shots, medium movement

Cons: Slow anchor traction

Crueltear

http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSleRtTeyBKrPmd7hZ6u5AzbEpUyDOxAM2kliZ9YBk__3rmHIa_N5xiUk-b

A Triggerheart implanted with an artificial personality as Exelica's sister. Her movement and some other specs exceed those of her sister. She tends to be slightly hot-headed.

Firing Style: Linear

Pros: Concentrated front shots, fast movement, fast anchor traction

Cons: Linear firing makes it difficult to take out groups of enemies quickly

Faintear

http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRrnYkIRS-qdrRU-_yJlL8yvXYoGMnVmnsVBH1xf74dld6lxoZMvTng3XXy

A mysterious enemy who appears before Exelica and Crueltear

Firing Style: Varies

Pros: Laser worm shot, faster movement, fast anchor traction

Cons: She's absolutely evil

Game Difficulties

There are 3 difficulties available Easy, Normal, and Hard. These can be accessed through the 'Help & Options" menu under Settings. You may play the game on any difficulty you desire, achievements will still unlock so you may wanna play on Easy for most of them to make things easier for you. There's only 2 achievements you wont be able to play on Easy with and that's Hard Clear and Perfect Play. To simplify things, use Normal difficulty when going for Perfect Play, as it counts when going for the achievement.

EASY: Fewer ships than Normal, projectiles can be easily be destroyed by gunfire, bosses die easier.

NORMAL:Average difficulty, more enemies than on Easy, enemies shoot arrow shaped projectiles and can only be destroyed by anchored ships, takes longer to anchor ships, bosses take longer to defeat.

HARD:Enemies travel even faster than on Normal ,enemies take even longer to anchor than before, bosses shoot out insane arrays of projectiles primarily red balls, extra enemies will appear that you may not have seen before.

Shooting

Press :abut: button to shoot.

Note: Holding down the :abut: button will cause score items(yellow medals) to slowly grow. Release it to automatically collect them. Better yet, TAP the :abut: button to kill enemies at the same rate as you would if you held :abut: button down and still collect score items just as fast!

Bombs

Press :rtbut: to use bombs.Bombs are very helpful but not recommended when going for some achievements. They should be mainly used when your in a heap of trouble, closed in with projectiles and nowhere to go. They can save your life on occasions and defeat bosses(some) rather quickly. You are also permitted to change bomb stock to 5 in the 'Help & Options' menu with no penalty against you, achievements will still unlock.

Lives

Lives are the little hearts you see in the upper left corner. If you die with no hearts left then you will be asked to continue. For some achievements you can not lose these or you will have to start over. Here's a good tip go to Settings under the Help & Options menu and change Player stock to 4 and Extend type to every 25,000,000pts that way you can earn more lives while you play at a faster rate than usual. This can be very helpful when going for the Hard Clear achievement.

Anchoring

Press and hold :bbut: button to shoot out your anchor on a flying enemy. Once grappled you will begin to rotate your enemy around you. At the precise time release them and hurl them at other groups of enemies for big scores. Tanks and Bosses cannot be anchored, you will instead Lock-On to them when pressing and holding :bbut:. This works well for more precise aiming and kills. Just remember anchoring is key to getting these achievements.

Score Items

These are those yellow medals you see pop out of enemies when you defeat them. Your Total Point amount is displayed in blue letters right below your lives(hearts). To gather more medals when they are on screen hold down the shoot button to make them grow bigger then let go when they are about to go off screen for extra points. You gain more points by defeating enemies and even more if you using the anchor. Total Points also affect a number of factors:

1. Your score after completing a stage

2. Difficulty Level of Boss Fights(how many forms they will have)

3. Whether you will face Faintear at the end of a stage.(Stages 1 and 3 only)

Grazing

Ever been overwhelmed by a bunch of projectiles and while dodging them you clearly see your Triggerheart touch some of them but you don't die? If so then congratulations you just performed a graze. Grazing is imperative when going for the Perfect Play and No Miss Clear achievements. You will mainly use grazing on Boss fights since they are the ones that shoot the most. How grazing works is basically the side of your ship can touch projectiles but you can't touch them DIRECTLY. To make grazing easier press and hold :bbut: to Lock-on to Bosses when you do you will see a little green box on your Triggerheart, that is your hit box and that's where you must make sure that no projectiles touch or you will die. That simple.

Pause Trick

In case you have not heard of this method yet I call it the Pause Trick. A very simple method where you pause the game at points during the game(usually Boss fights) and try to dodge/graze projectiles. The Pause screen is transparent so it's easy to look through it and check your hit-box to make sure nothing hits it. Try pausing when you have many bullets on screen and look for openings, be sure to Lock-On to a boss and shoot at the same time by holding :bbut:+:abut: while doing so or else you will just be dodging and not lowering the boss' health gauge. While Locking On you will see a very small spinning green triangle on your Triggerheart, that is your hit box keep it away from bullets at all costs. Repeatedly hitting the pause button will seemingly turn the game into slow-motion allowing you to easily dogde any projectile. This trick will help you get through the game pretty easily, just make sure you pause, look at the layout of bullets, look for open paths, plan your next move, and keep shooting and locking on and if you ever get cornered(which should rarely happen) use a bomb. This method will help you get the Perfect Play achievement much easier.

Conclusion

Triggerheart Exelica is a fun and challenging shmup with most of the achievements being easy to come by. As long as you're adept and experienced with shmups then getting the True Endings and beating the game on Hard should be no problem at all especially if you tinker with the settings to make it easier for you. The only achievement that will give you trouble is Perfect Play which alone makes this game a 7/10 for an Xbox Live Arcade game. Please use the tricks mentioned in the guide to shoot and anchor your way to perfection. Practice makes perfect!

Complete the game playing as Exelica (Normal Ending).

Simply complete the game as Exelica. There are 5 stages total in Story Mode and should only take 25 minutes to complete. Don't worry about score, hidden bosses, or lives for now just finish the game and get a feel for it. For information on how to play the game, see the Roadmap above. You can also try to nab the No Bomb achievement in your first run. Simply avoid pressing :rtbut: and play through the game to the end. If you also do that on your first run, you will unlock two achievements after the Credits instead of one!

Complete the game playing as Crueltear (Normal Ending).

Complete the game as Crueltear. She is the other selectable Triggerheart next to Exelica. She has a better anchor than Exelica and uses a Linear shot style. Complete all 5 stages as Creultear and this will unlock after the credits. For more info see "Exelica Normal Ending" above.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/Gc/69/1ICLiGJhbC9HFQUXXFJRFzg4L2FjaC8wLzMAAAAA5+fn+5LOAg==.jpgExelica True Ending 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Complete the game playing as Exelica (True Ending).

In order to get a True Ending you must defeat the hidden boss Faintear on Stage 1 and 3 and you must NOT DIE because this will reduce your Total Points and you need a certain amount of those to trigger the fight. After you have faced Faintear on Stage 1 and 3 you must also go on to finish the rest of the game. Once you get to Stage 5 you will get a slightly different end scene and face a different boss than usual. This should be fairly easy to get especially on EASY difficulty. Be sure to set Live Stock to 4 and Bomb stock to 5 to decrease your chances of dying. If you die, just make sure you don't lose all of your lives.

To face Faintear in each level you must get a certain amount of Score Items or Total Points. You collect these when you destroy ships and you automatically gather them as long as your not shooting. See Destroy Fainter(Level 1) and Destroy Faintear(Level 3) on how to trigger her fights. If done properly, this will unlock upon completing the game.

Complete the game playing as Crueltear (True Ending).

Same requirements as above only you must do it while playing as Crueltear. See above for more info. If your are asked to continue then you have failed and you need to start over. See "Destroy Fainter(Level 1)" and "Destroy Faintear(Level 3)" on how to trigger her fights.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/c9/3-/0ICLiGJhbC9BFQUXXFJRFzg4L2FjaC8wLzUAAAAA5+fn-9DdaA==.jpgScore 50,000,000 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Complete the game with a score of 50,000,000 points.

This should be pretty easy to get, especially on EASY difficulty. Be sure to set Live stock to 4 and Bomb stock to 5 to decrease your chances of dying. If you die just make sure you don't lose all of your lives. If your are asked to continue then your score will go back to 0 and you will have to start over.To earn 50,000,000 points be sure to anchor all flying enemies and destroy grounded enemies with flying enemies.Try holding on to a ship and launching it at groups of enemies for better bonuses. Also be sure to try and face Faintear on Stages 1 and 3 for extra points. You can also use the Debris Trick on Faintear at Stage 5 to net you extra points which is listed below. Once you accumulate 50,000,000 points or more this achievement will unlock after the Credits.

Tip: There is also a VERY helpful tip to earn you as much as 30,000,000 points at Stage 5. Make it to Stage 5 and at the final boss(Faintear) on Form 2 you will see lots of crumbling debris falling down from the left and right sides of the screen. Move your ship as low as possible and anchor the debris and then let go. Just tap :bbut: button as the debris falls down and try your best to not harm Faintear while doing it. She will inevitably lose health but at a slow rate. Continue this for as long as possible while dodging arrow shaped projectiles. Maneuver from left or right where ever you see debris fall and keep tapping :bbut: at it and your score will rise until Faintear finally dies.

Complete the game with a score of 100,000,000 points

Similar to the achievement above except you will have to put some more work in.Once again you cannot use a continue and I strongly suggest you defeat Faintear on Stage 1 and 3 for extra points.I was able to rank up 30,000,000 points on Stage 1 by anchoring a lot and beating Faintear. And you can get up to 30,000,000 on the Stage 5 Boss fight alone if you use the Debris Trick mentioned above. That's 60,000,000 points from Stage 1 and 5 alone! Use stages 2-4 to rank up 40,000,000 to help work towards this. Just make sure you're always anchoring.By games end if you have 100,000,000 points or more this will unlock after the credits.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/VS/w+/04CLiGJhbC9DFQUXXFJRFzg4L2FjaC8wLzcAAAAA5+fn-BEsTg==.jpgDestroy Faintear (Level 1) 15http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Destroy Faintear in the first level.

For Stage 1 make sure you have a Total Point score of 2300 or more by the time you reach the EMERGENCY prompt. Make sure you anchor everything you see with http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/b.png button. Learn to aim and wait until there is a multitude of enemies on screen to launch it.Right before the Emergency Prompt you will see two big choppers one of which gives you a bomb.Anchor the one above that chopper and hold on to it until the boss comes.Once the boss fight starts launch the chopper at the boss and with precise aim it will take out the first form.

Form 2: The boss will start to release small bombs that look like mines(small black circles) that are anchorable.Anchor them with http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/b.png and launch it at the boss for another easy finish, be sure to hurry and grab another mine so that you can launch it at the boss on Form 3.

Form 3: You should have around 2300 points by now or else you wont face this form. Release the mine as its life bar replenishes for yet another quick finish, if you missed a mine to anchor just Lock-on to it and shoot it dead. You will not get as many points if you destroy it this way though.

Form 4: You must have 2500 total points, the boss will release small purple capsules above its cockpit, anchor them and launch them for an easy finish.

Form 5: Have around 2800 total points, use another purple capsule if you have one saved from Form 4, if not then simply finish the boss by your own means(bomb if you want). DO NOT DIE or else you wont face Faintear.Make sure you have 3000 total points after defeating the boss. Afterward there will be a 2nd Emergency Prompt and Faintear will appear followed by some dialog.

Stage 1 Faintear

Faintear is a 2 Form Boss. Before the fight be sure to Lock On to her and start shooting.

Form 1: She will shoot out bullets in a pattern just be sure to dodge and shoot at the same time and beware of the lasers she fires. You also have the option of anchoring her red shields but unless you have good throwing aim I would not try it.

Form 2: She will start shooting bullets out in a circular motion, Lock-On to her and shoot like before and after a while she will bring in small red ships around her.Anchor one of the red ships and hurl it back at her until she dies. She will repeat this offense until she is defeated.Make use of the Pause trick here to ensure that you don't get hit.

Here is a video playthrough of Stage 1 including the secret Faintear fight. Pay special attention to the strategy and Total Points needed to face her.

Destroy Faintear in the third level.

For Stage 3 have 2900 Total Points by the time you get to the EMERGENCY prompt. While playing, anchor everything you see and shoot at grounded enemies. Toward the end of the stage you will face ships that will shoot LOTS of projectiles in a variety. Be sure to anchor and throw them at each other as they appear on screen or you will get overwhelmed. There are 6 in all be sure to anchor the 6th one and hold on to it for the boss fight. Once the fight starts, launch it at the boss. This will not destroy the 1st Form of the Boss but it inflicts good damage. From there simply finish the 1st Form with your lock-on shot.

Form 2: The boss will begin to shoot out projectiles very rapidly dodge them at the best of your ability or just shoot at them if playing on EASY. If you have around 2300 points or more you can take it down with gun fire but beware of bullets and use bombs to save your life.

Form 3: Simply anchor the small ships from the right or left sides that appear and launch them at the boss for the finish. Make sure you have 3000 total points by now. If done properly Faintear will appear after the Boss is destroyed.

Stage 3 Faintear

Form 1: She will shoot bullets in a circular motion and you need to dodge these until she brings in red ships that surround her. Anchor one or two into her to defeat her. This may take a few tries if your aim is not that good. Make sure you defeat her fast because the longer it takes you to beat her the more bullets she will fire.

Form 2: Faintear will close in on you and bring out a rotating shield with 4 mini ships in each corner of it. It will begin to rotate and shoot vigorously. You may have to dodge bullets while moving around her here. Use the Pause Trick here and dodge the bullets. Try anchoring one of the red ships and hurl it at her. If she doesn't die try waiting for the revolving lasers to die down then cross over to another section of the shield and anchor another ship to throw. The shield itself is anchorable too if you prefer to beat her that way.

Note: This video will show you the entire playthrough of Stage 3 and it also includes the hidden Faintear fight. Pay close attention to the Total Points required to face her and the strategy used to stay alive. Although this is the Dreamcast version of the game, it's still the same deal.

Complete the entire game without losing a life.

For this achievement you must complete the game without getting hit once. This achievement will give you a taste of what Perfect Play is like. Go to options and increase your bomb stock to 5. Also change the difficulty to EASY. While playing through the game it should be generally easy not to die. Keep a sharp eye out for arrow shaped projectiles and use anchoring to destroy red ball projectiles, or simply dodge them. You can also graze projectiles which basically means you can touch them but not directly and you wont die. If you are about to get hit and have nowhere to go be sure to use a bomb. There is a bomb that can be found on each level and you can hold up to 6. Just make sure you have 5 before collecting it. Only bomb when you REALLY need to. And remember if you gather a bomb when you already have 6 then you're not bombing enough. Try bombing at least once per stage so that you don't waste any free bombs. If you avoid using a bomb throughout the stage then use it on the boss of that stage. Bombs are your best friend to avoid death in this run. Skip the hidden Faintear fights to make this even easier. Complete the game without losing a heart(life) and this will unlock after the credits.

Note: There is also a trick you can use to get this achievement that is much easier but requires you to clear your cache. Remove all updates from your Xbox 360 HDD and fire up Triggerheart Exelica. Go to options and set lives to 1. Now play through the game for the achievement. You are permitted to die and the achievement will still unlock. This trick can only be done offline and will void your achievement of a time stamp.

Complete the entire game without using a bomb

Quite possibly the easiest achievement in the game. As said in "Exelica Normal Ending" simply avoid pressing :rtbut: and you will get this you can die and use continues all you want you will still get this just don't use any bombs. You should get this while going for the first two achievements.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/vC/Rm/0ICLiGJhbC82FQUXXFJRFzg4L2FjaC8wL0IAAAAA5+fn-0kkpw==.jpgHard Mode 1CC 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Complete the entire game at the highest difficulty level and without using a continue.

For this achievement you must complete the game on HARD difficulty without using a continue. This is known as a 1CC. Be sure to switch difficulty to HARD under Help & Options on the main menu before attempting this. Clearing the game on HARD without using a continue is no easy feat. The best advice I can give is go to Options and go to "Select Stage", from here you can pick stages 1-5 and when you start a game you will start on whichever stage you chose. Set it to whichever stage you wish to practice I recommend practicing ALL stages without dying and try to memorize ship patterns. Stage 5 is clearly the Hardest and you need to memorize what comes out and when. Be sure to use anchors as like always and utilize bombs to avoid deaths. If you ever need an alternative to bombs to stay alive you can always anchor large ships and swing them around to destroy bullets coming towards you to stay alive a little longer. It's also important to note that you can put Extend Type on every 25,000,000 that way as you rank up points you will get bonus lives which help you last longer. Remember you can lose lives when going for this achievement just not all of them. This is a pretty difficult achievement requiring some practice to obtain and it will unlock after the credits.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/L9/yG/0YCLiGJhbC83FQUXXFJRFzg4L2FjaC8wL0MAAAAA5+fn-qncNA==.jpgPerfect Play 25http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Destroy all the bosses and complete the entire game without dying at Normal difficulty or higher.

Hardest achievement in the game. For this achievement the difficulty must be on NORMAL or HARD and if you die even once you'll have to quit out and try again. You must also defeat all forms of all Bosses(including both Faintear fights) so be sure to get many score items or else you won't face all the forms of each boss. This achievement works similarly to No Miss Clear except you can't do it on EASY and you must defeat every Form of every Boss. Here are all the bosses you must defeat and the points needed to face each form.

Note: Every time you defeat a form for a boss it will pause and make a noise as if shifting into new gears. Once it starts a different type of offense that's how you know you're in its next form. Make sure you defeat all forms! If you miss a form because you did not have enough points then you must start the game all over. So for example if I'm facing the Stage 4 Boss, and I defeat its 3rd form with 3200 points, it will blow up and die instead of moving into Form 4 because I did not have 3500 points or more. Whenever this sort of thing occurs, quit out and start over from Stage 1.

Stage 1 Boss

Form 1: 0-

Form 2: 500-

Form 3: 1000-

Form 4: 2000-

Form 5: 2500-

Faintear: 3000-

Stage 2 Boss

Form 1: 0-

Form 2: 1000-

Form 3: 1500-

Form 4: 2500-

Stage 3 Boss

Form 1: 0-

Form 2: 2000-

Form 3: 3000-

Faintear: 3000-

Stage 4 Boss

Form 1: 0-

Form 2: 1000-

Form 3: 2000-

Form 4: 3500-

Stage 5 Boss

Form 1: 0-

Form 2: 0-

I suggest using NORMAL difficulty to make this a bit easier. Crueltear is the best choice to use for this since she has the best anchor in the game. Use the Pause Trick every moment you need to or throughout the whole game if you must, just make sure no bullets touch your hit box! Use bombs to cheat death but use them sparingly, and destroy Faintear on Stage 1 and 3 since those fights count. If you need help with a certain stage or boss check the video guides above. This is clearly the most difficult achievement in the game. You will get frustrated at times but it can be obtained. A little bit more advice for this one is to Practice all 5 Stages and predict what comes out and when. If you want, head to options and put Stage Select on whichever stage you wish to start with so that you can practice it without getting hit. Remember, Practice makes Perfect.

Very good guide, for a very good game! I really want to go back and get those last few nagging achievements sometime soon. Everything except those last two killer ones, which around here we call "The JP achievements." Those, while I'd love to get someday, I don't have any particular aspirations towards. The amount of time it would take, my god. Major kudos to all who've unlocked those two achievements, by the way.

Oh and, for the "No Miss Clear" achievement, you might want to note an easy tactic available. If you go to Options, and set your lives stock to 1, you can get this achievement while still being allowed to die as much as needed. This is because: every time you lose a life, it will require a continue immediately. So when you beat the game, much like any other time during play, the life you are currently using will count as your "first life used" in that particular start-up. I can't take credit for finding this, as I seem to recall it being mentioned in another thread from this very forum. But it was a life-saver, let me tell you, and made the 15 points for the achievement seem like a much more-sensible number. Unlike the Perfect Play achieve, which may as well be worth 1000 points by itself.

Hi, I just wanted to mention that I'm guessing this trick was removed after an update to the game. I previously bought the game back on October, and when I started playing through the game again around the 3rd or 4th of March this year, I remember having to update the game. I've done the "1 Life" thing and completed the game fully twice now since then, and it hasn't unlocked at all.

If anyone else has the game and hasn't updated it, let us know to double-confirm it one way or the other. :)

The trick has been patched and no longer works if you have downloaded the online update. The trick will still work however, if you remove it from your cache and play it offline to unlock it. I would know, because most of my achievements in this game are unlocked offline but I got No-Miss Clear legit.

I suggest you just follow the guidelines for the "No Miss Clear" achievement above as it's still a pretty easy achievement to get regardless. "Hard Clear" and "Perfect Play" are the real challenges!

Very good and detailed guide.

I might add that it really makes a difference which Triggerheart you choose. Crueltear might only have a linear fire mode but her speed makes up a lot of this (even though it takes more practice to control her). Plus: On normal or hard you won't fire a lot anyway, you will most likely just anchor every enemy. And that is where Crueltear's real strength is hidden: She anchors faster than Exelica - only a little bit but this makes a huge difference!!!

On a personal sidenode: Perfect Play just hated me. Failed twice at the last form of the last boss (duh!) and accidentally quit once before the last boss. Then finally did it and forgot to fight the last form of the 2nd boss. So much bad luck xD This really is an achievement that deserves the name...

As mentioned by TC, Perfect Play will haunt you, cause for instance, I "used" to have 200 on this game and PP was the last achievement I needed, but problem is, I got this one Offline and forgot to Update it on my 360 Online, course this was a concern for HDD/Memory Unit issues for me, so I had to Recover my Profile, and now I'm back to 175 , yeah, I know its a long story and a hassle, but I can get it again, someday. :)

This is a really good road map in my opinion. :)

Triggerheart Exelica is always good fun which I return to every now and then. Only have the two hard achievements left but someday I strive to get at least one of them (or so I keep telling myself).

Oh, and about the "No Miss Clear" achievement. Yes the glitch concerning this has been patched since quite a while. However as with every patch it is possible to delete them by clearing the console cache memory. Can't really recommend it as it gets rid of every update downloaded but it is a possible way around getting this achievement legit.

Thanks for the comments everyone. This is my second Achievement Guide, Rumble Roses XX being my first.

It seems a lot of people here are having trouble with Perfect Play. Has anyone used the Pause Method? That's what I used to get Perfect Play. Simply pause the game while you are locked on to a Boss and shooting, plan your next move by looking through the transparent Pause Screen, seep through the array of bullets, pause again when things get too heavy, rinse repeat.

I would have to say the Stage 4 Boss just about gave me a heart attack.

Faintear Fight on Stage 3 on HARD is nothing to laugh at either!

I did use the pause method, it saved me some bombs and didn't get hit around stages 4/5, although sometimes, the pause method is horror if used incorrectly, and you may end up back in the main menu by mistake, as what i had sometimes, as in my last post, I gotta get the last one again.

Please be careful with the Pause Trick, I myself quit out maybe 3 times on accident because I moved my ship too early and I went to main menu then I pressed start, this was on Stage 5 no deaths going for Perfect Play too.

I would say that's the only downfall to the trick. Has anyone found my numbers to face each Form of each boss accurate? Please correct me if it's lower than what you see on HARD difficulty. They should be pretty accurate though but please don't hesitate to correct me.

Regarding the number of medals needed to face each boss, I believe the correct numbers are:

Stage 1:

Form 1: -

Form 2: 500

Form 3: 1000

Form 4: 2000

Form 5: 2500

Faintear: 3000

Stage 2:

Form 1: -

Form 2: 1000

Form 3: 1500

Form 4: 2500

Stage 3:

Form 1: -

Form 2: 2000

Form 3: 3000

Faintear: 3000

Stage 4:

Form 1: -

Form 2: 1000

Form 3: 2000

Form 4: 3500

Stage 5:

Form 1: -

Form 2: -

Therese numbers are directly from the Warashi-website found at

http://www.warashi.co.jp/exelica/pastarticle.htm

and should therefore be accurate :)

Nice find! I would post this under my Perfect Play description but I seem to have ran out of room for text.:p

I checked out the site and sadly I can't read Japanese...however the pictures in there were very appealing.;)

I based the medal scores on the score you would want to have when heading into the fight against that particular boss. That way as you defeat each form your score will rise regardless and you will have enough to face all forms of that boss. But your list seems accurate. I might be too lazy to go back and check though as I'm working on other games right now but people who need help can simply follow your list as well.

The game has been out on Arcade for 2 years now and people are STILL trying to find out the EXACT medal points to face each form or Faintear but we have pretty much nailed it at this point.

Thanks for the posts guys and being part of this Road Map that I used to helped Triggerheart players and the like!:)

EDIT: The medal numbers were at the very bottom of the page nice work! I have added them under the Perfect Play description and I also added video playthroughs in this Road Map as well. Thanks again Helgor.

EDIT 2: Removed the walkthrough from this guide as well as changed the guide name. I also upgraded the Roadmap with a new banner along with other various details such as better videos for the True Endings and Faintear Fights. This guide is now 100% complete and I have now closed down my subscription to it and will no longer receive notifications for it. Everything you need is there, good luck.

Just a quick note for anyone going for 'Perfect Play'

I tried it with non - default settings, 5 bombs. It didn't unlock.

Tried with default, so only 2 bombs and it unlocked.

I would guess there was a patch added later forcing this.

To further stress this to whoever may still go for this achievement, "Default" means default. I completed the Perfect Play, with the only two changed options being turning Tutorial off and using the Faintear background. Achievement didn't unlock. Did it again with everything set to default and I got it. Man was doing it twice all because of a background frustrating...
