Assassin's creed question!

I think this is as with every other games: start with the first. Not only you'll have a better understanding of the story, but the latter games bring in such features you might not enjoy the first one after them as much as you could if you just start with it right away.

This doesn't mean it is not a great game, though.

Also, if you would play it anyway, why not just start it in the order as the makers intended?

And in addition, check out these VERY similar threads where this question were discussed many times:

Yup I agree to complete the games chronically, since you unlock more wisdom (hehe), by that I mean you will have a complete understanding of the game. If you play Assasin's Creed Revelation, you will learn more about Altaïr's travels and life, but you will not understand why Altaïr did what he did or why, since I recall that you will only learn that in the first Assasin's Creed with Altaïr. Just like in other games hehe

Good luck playing:p

I just finished the first one, and while some of my friends haven't bothered finishing it, I'm glad that I can say I have. Always good to have an understanding of the complete story... You may find later you want to go back and learn more about it anyway, so you may as well start from the beginning.

having played them all id say its a good idea to start from the beginning because it gets you used to the game and most of the acheivments are easy. however the first game is by far the worst and after that they do improve and get a lot better as the storyline improves. either choice is good because your still playing ac!

Good point about how features feel outdated as they are improved upon.
