Lord Jester
Any tips for what would be the best armor(or armor combination) to use on insanity for the soldier class? Thanks in advance
Sixgun
I use Kassa Fabrication which gives you a nice shield buff which is quite useful.
CyclopSW
I preferred the Custom ones, and because I was an infiltrator, I mainly got the ones for Ammo capacity, Weapon Dmg, Headshot Dmg, Power Recharge
rekikire
There is no such thing as the best armour, all the different armours are good in different situations. It all depends on how you play so you'll need to work out what's useful to you.

HandymanJames
I just finished Insanity last night as an Adept. I found that using the Mattock (semi-auto assault rifle) and the Blood Dragon Armor worked best for me. I also took Fortification as my squad bonus skill and kept that up at all times. I took Garrus and Liara most everywhere. Warp/Throw combos would instantly kill most regular enemies. 2 would take down shielded enemies. Brutes/Ravagers/Harvesters went down in 3. Banshees and Primes about 5-6. If I didn't have anyone I would use Singularity and just slowly kill them all that way. Garrus would overload/meatshield/kill the low health enemies while I switched. Liara is god tier with her Stasis Bubble on a 3-4 second cooldown, which works very well if you can hit multiple enemies and have the 2 throw bolt upgrade. It would sometimes double explode. The hard thing for me in the beginning was the grenade spam, but as soon as I got Stasis and Liara upgraded, most of the time I wouldn't have to stay in cover and I could relentlessly advance and just spam throw on the little guys. XcS Dead Deer
As an engineer, i tailored my suit to give me power damage and power recharge, as that was the majority of my attacks. As a soldier, you'll want mainly shield/health/weapon buffs i'd imagine

13ip0lar
I used headshot/weapon damage armor for my Infiltrator. It was a mix of two different type of armor pieces along with the Recon Hood.
