The CHALLENGER achievement didn't unlock after 5 straight days of doing a challenge. Now I've just done 8 days in a row and still nothing. People are saying it unlocked for them after 6-9 days so this is a broken achievement I guess!
Will do a few more days and see what happens.... and yes I'm playing a challenge (not always winning one but the achievement DOESN'T say that) and then backing out to the main menu and then exiting the game
Hopefully it may unlock tomorrow on my 9th day
Ok it FINALLY unlocked on my 11th straight day of playing the daily challenges BUT I just completed a run of passing a challenge over the last 5 days (days 7-11) which leads me to think the achievement description is wrong and means WIN 5 challenges 5 days in a row and not just PLAY 5 challenges 5 days in a row

Anyone notice with the April (2013) update they now have each daily challenge rated by difficulty? That's a nice tweak. Hope they fixed all the other glitches.
EDIT: I just noticed the points per daily challenge vary as per the difficulty level of the challenge.
Easy = 100 coins
Medium = 150 coins
Hard = 200 coins
Expert = 300 coins
And another 150 for completing all 3 daily challenges.
That will make the medal achievements a lot easier!
What's your number? I'm a 30!

I agree, Havox. It's a nice addition. Today had the first Hard challenge, worth 200 points. So in theory, one could get 750 points in one day. In practice, today had one Easy, one Medium, and one Hard, for a total of 600 possible.

I agree, I do like that you get more coins from medium and hard challenges. But have you tapped the gold medal yet? You now need 12,000 coins for the gold medal, up from 10,000. So for me, the varying coin amounts is the least they can do. I hope it at least evens out in terms of the number of days needed for a gold medal!
Edit: It seems to roughly work out so far. Previously, you needed to play 23 days of challenges to get 10k coins for a gold medal. With the update, I was able to get 6k coins for a silver in 11 days (down from 14), so I imagine that you'll only need 22 days of challenges for 12k - possibly fewer, if you skip the days with mostly easy puzzles and choose your days wisely.

I just got Gemologist and High Five today. Gemologist I got by pure luck, but High Five took a number of attempts. I finally got it by maintaining a long speed streak, and when I got a gem screen I just tapped all over with four fingers. I ended up getting over 5:00 twice in the game, and was frustrated because I didn't see the achievement pop. After the game was over though, I went into the achievements screen and saw it was unlocked.
Now I just need Go for the Gold! Then I may consider spending $5 for 15g just so I can have another game at 100%.

Easy High Five!
High Five is easy to obtain with a touch screen supporting up to 10 fingers... Just let your fingers dance on the screen and take advantage of the powerups by using them intelligently... Most levels can be done this way under 5 seconds!
I managed to do over 30 million points in a single game, level over 500, and reached over 13 minutes of remaining time once... and it did not end, since I never ended the game by lacking time, but by being tired!
