Fallout 4 announcement soon? Next Gen?

So, seems like people are thinking Fallout 4 will be next gen..

Will it? Won't it?

My answer: No, it will be for this generation.

Why?

Simple. Why would Bethesda produce something so high profile on something they don't know will sell? We don't know if the Next xbox or next Playstation will sell. They could be massive flops for all we know.

Bethesda will play it safe.

Besides, Bethesda aren't too keen on the idea of next gen :)

I still think there's life left in the 360 and PS3. I don't think the next generation consoles will be released anytime soon. WiiU isn't much to brag about for Nintendo. Their graphics are FINALLY up to par with the 360 and PS3. LOL! I don't think Microsoft and SONY have to worry about competition from Nintendo. If there is a Fallout in development, I think it'll be released late 2013 or 2014 and it will be for this generation. Personally, I'm excited about it. Fallout 3 was crazy fun! I own Vegas but haven't played it yet.

Actually, yeah. More proof please. Because every one of those 4 links is based on one interaction with the PR guy. They all quote the exact same thing. So, it's really only one instance and regurgitated 4 times by hte "gaming journalists" who just copy everything else from everyone in the business.

IF Fallout 4 was going to come out this year it would have been announced most likely at the VGAs (See Skyrim). So, logic says not this year. If you follow that train of thought, it could come out in 2014.

If you piece together everything, Major Nelsons teaser about E3 this year, the Three Dog voice guy doing cryptic tweets, etc then we can assume two things. 1 there will probably be a new MS console this year or next. And, Fallout 4 is in production.

Why would Bethseda make a game for the 360 when they can make one for the new tech, flashy graphics, better processing power, etc. The Peter Hines PR guy talks about a divided user base. People would want/expect a new Fallout to be on the newest platform right?

If Bethseda is that concerned than make the majority of the game and sit back for six months or so after the next consoles are released and see if it's a hit or as you say a flop and go from there.

If the next Xbox comes out at the end of this year like most of us are assuming, then I hope they hold it back for that console. I pretty much know what I'd be getting into after two Fallout games for the Xbox 360, even if they used the Skyrim engine, and I'd rather wait for new hardware and for them to work on the game more. I love their games but every one of them being as broken as they always are isn't really cute anymore. I had severe technical issues with Skyrim and New Vegas specifically, luckily I didn't play Fallout 3 until the GOTY released so I missed alot of that mess.

Watch the first few minutes of this for fallout 4.

I personally don't think we will see it this gen..

Mainly because if the new console is being announced it wouldn't really make sence to announce a new game for an old console...

If fallout 4 was a launch title, that would brilliant both for the console and bethesda

It's definitely coming out for the next gen consoles, otherwise we'd have heard some news by now of it's development. I could definitely see it being a launch title.

The real question is how many glitches will it have regardless of generation. :p

A shitload, but I'll still play and enjoy it anyway, just like every Bethesda game.

That's because it won't be so easy for 1 trick pony Bethesda to copy and paste the same thing with new skins on a next gen console. You'd think with all the money they save on using 5 voice actors and having low quality staff that they could pay Quality Assurance people more money to do a better job or at least hire more of them.

Between glitches, game breaking quests, horrid awful dialog, and the generic ugly long load time engine they use, I can totally see why people are getting excited for another Elder Scrolls clone with guns.

You and I have discussed this so many times and I've normally stuck by my love of FO:3, FO:NV, Oblivion and Skyrim

However, the Dragonborn DLC may have finally pushed me over the edge.

I still haven't really played it that much because I just can't stand how glitchy it was even after the first patch for it...

If Bethesda can't be bothered to spend a couple extra months properly testing their games I don't really see why we should continue to line their pockets.

What makes this even more hilarious, is they even had beta tests for their DLC's...BETA TESTS! And guess what? Still full of glitches and game breaking bugs. :D
