Introduction

This is a free to play game that requires a Gold Account to play. You basically run around on land and in dungeons killing enemies and looting chests for treasure and souls. The currency in the game is souls, and you will quickly realize how important they are in the game. Souls are used for practically everything in the game from getting magic spells and repairing your equipment when it becomes broken to improving your gear and spells as you level. You will find yourself repairing your gear extremely often, and this is where buying in game currency for real money will get tempting. There is player vs player present in the game in an indirect manner; while you are playing, you will see the shadows of others players in your world. It is possible to help these players by blessing them, or you can make things harder for them by cursing them. Also, while fighting enemies, you can banish creatures from your world to their world and force the other player to fight them instead. Your world will also be invaded by other people's ascended champions whom will be controlled by the computer AI, and you will have to protect your shrines and altars from them several times throughout the game. There are collectibles present in the form of Lore tablets spread out through the territories that you must read; there is an achievement related to reading all 48 tablets. The achievements in the game are very easy, but are quite time consuming for the whole 400G. A good majority of your time is going to be spent on a lot of hack and slash, using magic, and repairing your broken equipment.

Step 1: Playthrough the story

Continue through the story taking over shrines and making the various territories yours. If you have a tough boss battle then make sure you go level up more and upgrade your gear to make it easier. After you beat the last boss you can go back and continue playing.

Step 2: Raid dungeons and keep leveling

You have experienced the game and know exactly what this is all about. Grind out your levels/ascensions and get all the misc. achievements that there are (read the guide for those, or just check the list from your Xbox). A good thing to do is just have all the territories and play an hour or so every day or other day. This will give you a steady flow of income because after time, you get money even when not playing for what you own. Your other ascended champions will also gain for you. So oddly, the less you play the more you get out of it in the end because you won't be breaking your gear. If you want to really speed things up, spend real money.

Step 3: Mop Up

After getting your desired level/ascension and other misc. achievements, you may still have a few things to do. Read all of the lore, you should be familiar with most of the areas by this point. You can also focus on the blesses and curses if you haven't already obtained those achievements. Waiting until you have done everything else is a good idea because you can find those items in chests. Rushing them just gets expensive if you buy them. No reason to waste your precious souls on other people!

Conclusion

This game is free and fun, but does a lot to tempt you to spend some real money for in game currency. A couple of dollars here and there to repair your gear or upgrade starts adding up over the amount of time you will be playing this game. The game is repetitive but still has some good quality behind it's mechanics.

When you have an area, the humans will be your allies. You can press :dup: to call them to climb on you. You press :ddown: to drop them on the ground where they can attack enemies. You will get better opportunities the more you progress in the game. When you see a group of humans and enemies in the same area, just make sure you block with :rtbut: and let the humans get the kills.

25 enemies know the power of magic from their graves

Magic is used by pressing :bbut:. The power varies depending on the alignment you have chosen. You can buy different spells or even increase the power of the one you have. This should come in time as you play through the game using the spells. They recharge in time, so you don't have to worry about having mana or anything like that.

Did 20 10x combos!

This is very easy and should come while you play the game naturally. When you get hits on enemies, a combo meter builds up. The more you get hits the higher it builds as long as you don't get interrupted by an enemy. Once it hits 10x, that will count as one. Getting 20x will not grant you any more tallies on this achievement, so if you are impatient you can just let it reset after 10 each time.

Banished 25 enemies into another player's realm

Banish is a form of Crusade Spell that you can use against other players who appear as ghostly figures. When they are in your area and you are fighting enemies, you can cast this to open up a few vortexes which will suck in enemies and spit them out against the player. The number varies depending on where they are and where the vortexes land. This spell costs 500 Souls, but you are given a few for free when you start the game. To buy more, press :back: and go to your spell menu. Press :rtbut: to get to Crusade Spells and buy Banish.

Cast 25 Crusade Spells

Crusade spells are in your spell menu when you press :rtbut:. They are spells that can only be cast as many times as you have purchased them. You can use Blessings, Curses, as well as Banish. There are other achievements in the game that relate to Bless, Curse, and Banish that total an amount of at least 55 total Crusade Spells. You will get this while going for them.

A Caos is your character. When you customize one and start the game, you will get this achievement automatically.

You made the ultimate sacrifice and Ascended your first Caos

You will be given the option to Ascend once you reach level 5. If you press :back: and go to the Crusade tab, you will see the requirements. The game is very vague when explaining what Ascending does. You lose that character and all items and spells, except for the ones you choose to keep. When you do this, you enter an area where there are podiums. You place your weapons/spells/armor in these spaces to reserve them for your next character. You must purchase additional spots if you want to save more items. This can get very expensive. The first podium is free, but the second is 1000 Souls, the third is 2000 Souls, and so forth. Ascend whenever you are ready to make this commitment.

One of your Ascended Champions defeated another player

When you Ascend, your character becomes an AI enemy in certain situations to other people playing the game. They will have your gear and be the same level as you were when you ascended. This means that everyone your old character fights, will likely stronger and have an easy time killing them. In order to actually make sure this doesn't happen, you should wait until your level is higher before ascending. This is very luck based.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/2383/5-vg1+8=.jpgKnow thy Enemy 5http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png

Defeated 3 player bosses

A player boss is an ascended character from another real life player around the world. They are AI that are sent to ambush your conquered areas. You have 5 minutes to go stop them. This is a very annoying feature in the game, because it often times happens while you are in the middle of something. Warp to stop and kill the AI. You will likely be higher level and have better gear than them, so they are fairly easy to kill. They block a lot so use the :ybut: combo and spells. They are random but do happen enough to not be rare. Once you get back to what you were doing, you will have to start it over again (if you are in a dungeon for example, you start at the entrance). If you decline the instant warp, you can warp from the map menu.

Acquired a spell from each alignment

In order to do this, you will have to create a player in one alignment, ascend to a different one, then ascend to the third one. There are only 3 alignments (Dark, Void, Light). Make sure when you ascend you are picking the different ones and keeping the spells by using the slots for them at the podiums. This will require you to at least be level 10 to have ascended twice.

Caution: If not paying attention, you could ascend and lose your spells that you were keeping. You must be careful not to finish your ascending without first saving those spells.

Attained 200 points of physical damage

The higher level you are, the better weaponsr you can buy. When you go into your inventory, you can select your weapon and put in a rune to make it stronger. Sometimes weapons will have more than one rune slot. You can play runes that increase your melee damage by 10%. Depending on your luck with loot, your dedication to playing the game for countless hours, with a combination of spending real money to upgrade and buy weapons, your weapon damage could total well over 400.

Attained 2000 points of armor

The higher level you are, the better armor you can buy. When you level up your armor is also increased. When you go into your inventory, you can select your armor and upgrade it for Souls. You can also slot runes that help give 10% armor ratings. This could either take you an extremely long time to get, or cost you money to buy souls.

Looted 30 items or purchased 10 spells

There are chests scattered throughout the game, and you will get this in time. If you purchase spells (such as Crusade Spells) often, then you will get it that way. Take your time and let this achievement happen naturally so that you don't waste souls in this game. They are needed for repairing equipment.

Fully upgraded a spell

In your Spells, you will see what is equipped. There are 15 total, 1 free each alignment. If you want, you can purchase more at high costs. It's best if you work on the free ones. Press :abut: on a spell and choose to upgrade. You will see a wheel that allows you to buy upgrades for various things, such as cooldown, range, damage, duration, charge, etc. It is extremely expensive to upgrade a spell fully. You will have to thousands and thousands of Souls in order to fully upgrade. This could cost you a lot of time of getting the Souls, or if you are impatient and don't mind spending real money, you can purchase Souls using Microsoft Points. This could end up costing you 400-800 MSP if you want to do it that way. Otherwise, keep on playing.

Slotted 3 runes

You can either buy runes in inventory, or find them in chests. They start at about 1000 souls. You will have to have a piece of equipment or weapon that has slots. To know if you have a slot, look at the weapon or equipment and you will see a grey circle on the top right. Press :abut: on the item and you will see Runes. Pick a slot to put a rune if multiple. You should be able to get this by level 10.

Spent 30,000 souls or purchased a Soul Pack

You acquire souls be defeating enemies and sometimes getting them in chests. You will be getting these a lot in the game, and they are your source of income. You spend them pretty much on everything. These include buying weapons, repairing weapons, upgrading spells, buying curses or blessings, etc. You should get this as you play the game normally. If you buy a Soul Pack with MSP, you are able to get the achievement right away. Go to the in game menu and on the store, you'll see you can press :ybut: to buy souls. The cheapest is 80MSP for 5,000 souls.

Used an Alignment Mask boost to enter a restricted alignment dungeon

You can find these in your "Boost" section in the menu. They are near the bottom. Once you find a door you cannot proceed through, make sure you buy the correct mask to walk inside. There is the Light, Dark, and Void Mask. You can purchase any of them for 10,000 Souls. Once you have the correct one, you will have a boost to have the mask for 30 minutes. Head inside and collect the various treasures and just avoid the enemies. You get the achievement just for entering.

Reached level 50 or Ascended 3 times

Ascending is a major part in the game. When you hit level 5 for the first time, you can ascend. Doing so has you create a new character, and your previous one will be in the crusade doing random things as an AI in your name. The second time you can ascend, will be at level 10 with your 2nd character. For the third time, you must be level 18.

You will get this upon your first Ascend. The Crusade is the overall war between the 3 alignments.

Need to figure out what this is.

Obtained this by Ascending for the first time. I have no clue why I got the achievement.

It appears that when you ascend the game uses the weapons/armour/spells that you don't ascend with and converts them into Crusade points. This just needs to add up to 50,000 for the achievement.

I don't know whether it's cumulative as it popped on my first ascension.

Very cool that achievements can be earned in the beta. So, basically, 3 achievements are currently unobtainable and there is only one achievements where I have to be careful (and save spells)?

If you don't save a spell it doesn't make the achievement missable technically...just you'd have to upgrade a different one from scratch. That or just buy souls for eeal money and get achievement in minutes plus have a max spell

This doesn't unlock when you first ascend as of the 1.1 beta. I expect your ascend Caos need to accumulate 50000 points now. The 2 I've ascended so far got a total of about 300 overnight (12 hours after starting) so it might take a while.

EDIT: I think I might be looking at the wrong thing when I'm looking at the ascended caos stats. The leaderboards show my with 7000+ crusade points while the caos stats only add up to 500.

Actually, There are two pieces of lore in Sanctum.

I have the Scholar achievement as well. The last few pieces are before the last Apex's dungeon.

It took me three Ascensions to get Lord of War. I think 1.0 beta had a different way of accruing points and that they were minimized from what I have read on the forums.

The achievement accounts points for what gear they are wearing when they ascend, and what they did (points taken, invasions defended, etc.)

As I just edited another post with this answer, The Endless Dungeon achievement has been changed to Transend due to the fact that it won't be ready or obtainable at launch.
