Kaiyo
Not anytime soon but theres reduced prices for the Legendary Map Pack(160MSP) and the Mythic Map Pack I(400MSP). Edited July 22, 2010 by Kaiyo
The Brownie Bandit
I got screwed over on Halo 3 maps. I bought the maps a couple months back with Microsoft Points (dumb idea), then I bought ODST last month and the Multiplayer disk came with it, and now they're having discounts on the Mythic and Lengendary maps. But I can't imagine why it would be free right after they cut the price on them.
Jellybean468
They may become free when matchmaking goes bang.
Such Solitude
They may become free when matchmaking goes bang. I can assure you.. that won't be for a longggggggggg time.
Battosai343
I can assure you.. that won't be for a longggggggggg time. Depends on what he means by BANG. But, I wouldn't count on the maps becoming free anytime soon.
Kaiyo
I don't count any of them to be free yet or ever since they're related with achievements. The Heroic Map Pack became free because it had no achievements and MS usually have most DLC that have achievements in them never go free. Rifle Elite
They probably won't become free until Reach gets released. And even then, it might aswell take some months/years.
Headshot Zeetie
and you know why? because its the only reason odst sells
mr eataton
i dont think that it will become free -.-
Burnout x360a
I bought all the map packs (obviously not the free ones) and aren't bothered about buying ODST quite a while later and finding them all on there, mainly because i feel i got a lot of usage out of the maps well before ODST anyway. To answer the original question no or buy ODST if you want them and didn't get em before
JDBUG1993
i wouldn't recomend downloading any dlc for halo 3. it's easier and probably cheaper to buy a second hand copy of odst which as the halo 3 multiplayer disc with every single map.
stephen ryan
They are only free when you buy Halo: ODST, you get hte second disk which is used for Halo 3 multiplayer only, the disk has all maps on it!
bblcreator8790
If you like Halo at all just buy ODST. You get a new but short game and the maps are there. It should be significantly cheaper now.
