Clear the game once.

Easy mode is the easiest way to do this. Most gaps will be covered by platforms, there are less enemies, and the enemies will take less damage. Make your way through each level using the weakness chart above, and make sure to watch the boss patterns as you fight them. After completing a boss, SAVE YOUR GAME. You can save after each level so you don't have to replay them, and just do this to make your way through the game.

Clear the game in under an hour.

Again, this is best done on easy mode. Using the same method as above, make your way through the game using the weakness chart above, while saving after each level. You are going to want to do your best NOT to die while you run through the levels. Every death just takes precious time off your clock, so you're going to want to practice a bit if you're new to Mega Man. To those who aren't new to the series, this will be simple once you understand the level layouts.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1300/+JN33A==.jpgSUPERHERO - 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Clear the game on HARD.

This seems like a casual progression from easy/normal, but trust me it's not. The levels are brutal, as are the enemies. Only experienced Mega Man players will be able to do this, and it will test your patience in the process. Expect to die A LOT, just make sure you take advantage of the store. You can buy energy tanks and extra lives there. You can also get items that do half damage and such, so make the best use of it. Remember to save after each level if you manage to beat it, and BE PATIENT. This is going to take you a lot of practice.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1300/-TGcJQ==.jpgHARD ROCK - 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Make it to a boss room without getting damaged.

After Playing the levels a bit, it seems like Pump Man is the easiest. Just make sure you take the bottom route. There is barely any enemies, and the only real threat is a few shrimp and bubbles. Just shoot the bubbles so they don't capture you and you'll be fine. You just need to take it slow and maybe run through the levels a time or two so you know where enemy placements are. If Pump Man doesn't work for you definitely pick a level without an annoying sub-boss. This shouldn't take you too long on easy mode. You can also get this achievement after you've beat a level, if you'd like to jump back into it and not have to fight the boss.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1300/-NFktg==.jpgHEADBANGING - 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Defeat the 8 bosses without your helmet on.

First, you need to get 20 screws so that you can buy the "hairstyles" item from the shop. There's probably an easier way, but I went into Pump Man's level and grabbed a few screws then died until I went back to the continue screen. I bought it from the shop option, and then proceeded to play through the eight levels. This will not be as easy as normally playing, because Mega Man takes double damage when he doesn't have his helmet. On top of this, if you die, the helmet will come back and you'll have to re-exit and buy the hairstyle again. To save some frustration, do this on easy. You'll want to take the levels extremely slow, and again, make sure you know the level designs a bit before attempting.

Another way to do this is to buy the no helmet hairstyle before starting Wily 4. This is when you have to re-face all 8 bosses in a row. Once you are used to the game this will be the easiest method, but if you'd rather do it one at a time use the method above.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1300/-xCVkA==.jpgDESTROYER - 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Defeat 1000 enemies.

You will get this as you play through the game. It takes a couple playthroughs for all of the achievements, and this will pop up as you are going for the others. Killing 1000 enemies shouldn't take make than three playthroughs, and all enemies apply.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1300/-vBtAw==.jpgWORLD WARRIOR - 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Defeat one of every type of enemy.

First, you need to do this in ONE playthough. It will not count over multiple saves and different games. You just need make sure you are shooting every enemy you see. Take your time, and even make sure to shoot the projectiles just in case. It will unlock when you kill a drill in Wily 5. If it doesn't then you missed something and missed the achievement.

Tobinishi and I wrote up a list of the easy to miss enemies. Here they are.

- Birds that drop rockets in Chill Man Stage

- The spring enemies that can't be killed by the mega buster. Chill Man's chill spike can kill them.

- Flames in Solar Man Stage (use Pump Man's bubble shield to kill them)

- Alarm things in Wily Stage 2

- Projectiles you may need to shoot include: The rockets the birds drop, baseballs, bombs, bullets, etc. (these aren't confirmed to be needed, but are worth doing just to make sure.)

Pump Man's water shield will help you destroy most things if you keep it going while playing.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1300/-DeBng==.jpgTRUSTY SIDEARM - 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Defeat the 8 bosses with just your default weapon.

This is a piece of cake on easy. The bosses will all move very slow, and all of their weapons will be less powerful/throw less of them at you. If you can just dodge a bit and hit shoot as fast as you can, you shouldn't have an issue with this. You can even buy energy tanks from the store if you really need the life refill while you are fighting the bosses. If you don't want to do this while playing through the game, you can wait and do it in Wily 4 when you have to re-fight all of the bosses in a row.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1300/-dd5DQ==.jpgNO COFFEE BREAK - 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Clear the game without using any energy, mystery, or weapon tanks.

These are the blue tanks with letters on them, with each letter corresponding to the type of tank it is. Energy tanks refill life, mystery tanks refill your health and all weapons, and weapon tanks fill one specific weapon. On easy mode, you actually run into an item that auto refills everything for you in every level, so you won't have to worry about this, aside from the energy tanks. Either way, you shouldn't have too much trouble until the Wily stages. Just use the weakness chart above and the game becomes very easy, so much so that newcomers will be able to get this achievement very quickly. If you still find yourself needing extra life, buy Eddie Calls. He will usually spit out life, and it doesn't count against you. Also be sure to buy the Guard Power Up, because that will half all damage you take for a level. Best to use on Wily 4 or 5.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1300/-mmUzA==.jpgTENACIOUS - 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Clear the game without continuing.

See "Invincible".

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1300/-EideQ==.jpgINVINCIBLE - 30 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Clear the game without dying.

Beating the game without dying sounds very difficult, but this isn't Mega Man 9. We have an easy mode here that covers most spikes and holes you can fall down, gives you more life, and makes enemies easier/gives them less life. All you need to do is focus on beating one level at a time, going in the weakness chart order to make sure you are beating the levels as easily as possible. Save after each level that you complete, and this becomes a cinch. Mega Man 10 even allows you to save in between Wily levels on easy mode, so this isn't too challenging. While going for your no death run, you will pick up the "TENACIOUS" achievement. If you need it, make sure to go to the store and buy Beat Calls and Shock Gaurds. Beat Calls save you if you fall down a hole and Shock Guards will make spikes not one hit kill you.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1300/-ahl6g==.jpgMR.PERFECT - 30 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Clear the game without getting damaged.

Easy mode + the save method is going to be the only way to tackle this for most people. Easy mode allows you to save between even the final levels, so it makes this much more doable. This is going to take a lot of practice and memorization of the levels. You are going to be using Pump Man's water shield a ton if you want to do this in the easiest of ways. The best thing to do is keep the weakness chart open on your computer if possible and the back button every time you get to a boss fight. Select the correct weapon and make sure not to just rush in shooting it. Make dodging a priority!

Ok, got the World Warrior Achieve.

Easy to miss: Birds in Chill Man Stage, Flames in Solar Man Stage, the Alarm things in Wily Stage 3 (?). It's also important, that you "kill" all the projectiles of the enemys. For example the rockets, baseballs, bombs, bullets etc. I'm pretty sure, they count towards the Achievement, so activate the Water Shield and try to destroy everything.

I'm not sure, but the bubbles on Pump Mans level might count for World Warrior. I was pretty sure I had killed everything on my last runs through the game, but no WW. Then now, when I'm doing Hard, I took the lower road on Pump Mans level, and realised that I had never seen those bubbles before. So, they might be the missing part...

You should add this to the guide:

Hard Rock can be unlocked even if you play a stage you already beat. I played Sheep mans stage first, then went back to it when I had Blade Mans weapons...Was a walk in the park with his weapons. There is no boss fight since he was already defeated, but the achievement popped up for me as I entered the long hallway before the boss.

I'd argue that Pump Man's stage is the easiest to get HARD ROCK on. The hard hat guys only shoot that slippery gel that doesn't damage you. If you take the low road, you don't have to worry about the pipe guys running into from the ceiling. The shrimp guys are the only ones you have to actively worry about attacking you.

I want to clear something up here and save you guys hours of frustration. This needs to be done in ONE playthrough. Shooting projectiles does not count. You must kill every type of enemy in a single playthrough. You cannnot go back to certain levels and kill enemies. You will get the achievement on the last wily stage after killing a drill. If you don't you missed something.

I know this can be done on a normal playthrough, but then the question comes about of different colored enemies, do they count? I'm not sure. I did it on hard since every color and enemy are present.

I can back up TodaysForgotten on the WORLD WARRIOR achieve. I just got mine to pop on my normal playthrough at the drills on Wily 5. I had done two playthroughs on easy before trying to kill everything, so I'm not sure if there was something I missed those times around or if there is a baddie or two that don't show up on easy.

I am almost positive you cannot get it on easy. For the Wii I did easy first and then normal and got it on the drills. There were discussions on the wii gamefaq forums that people got it on normal and not on easy.

i want to add that you probably can go back in the same playthrough to levels where you may have missed enemies, but you can't load up various saves on differing difficulties and kill enemies in hopes it will pop when you do kill that one enemy missed..

Overview:

- Estimated achievement difficulty: 6/10

- Offline: 12

- Online: 0

- Approximate amount of time to 200http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif: 5-10 hours (Largely depends on skill)

- Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 3-4

- Number of missable achievements: 1 (WORLD WARRIOR)

- Glitched achievements: None!

- Do cheat codes disable achievements?: No cheat codes available

- Does difficulty affect achievements?: Only "SUPERHERO". For that, you must beat the game on hard.

Introduction:

Mega Man 10 is another 8-bit sequel in the long running series. Mega Man is back with eight all-new bosses to tackle and weapons to gain. It's up to you to stop Wily in his tracks again, only this time Proto Man is there to help you from the start.

Preparation:

Mega Man games are hard. If you've never played the NES originals, or found Mega Man 9 extremely difficult, expect no different here. The game is a bit easier than 9, and also includes an easy mode that doesn't disable achievements! Lucky you. All of them can be obtained there EXCEPT for "SUPERHERO", which requires you to beat it on hard mode.

The one thing you need to learn is patience. Mega Man games are about learning the level layouts and memorizing enemy patterns. Until you do this the game WILL seem impossible, but the more you play the better you will get. Just learn to pay attention, and make sure you play the levels over and over again until you have a grasp on them. Easy mode kind of kills the true nature of Mega Man games, but these methods will still help you on your way to "Mr. PERFECT".

The first thing you'll need to know is the weakness list. You can find that below.

Weakness Chart

No boss in Mega Man 10 takes double damage from the buster, so you're going to want to find the boss that's easiest to you. Pump Man/Sheep Man seem to be the one's people pick the most, so I'm going to go with Sheep Man first, and have the weakness chart follow that. The weapon on the left is strong against the boss on the right.

Mega Buster > Pump Man

Pump Man (W. Shield) > Solar Man

Solar Man (S. Blaze) > Chill Man

Chill Man (C. Spike) > Nitro Man

Nitro Man (W. Cutter) > Commando Man

Commando Man (C. Bomb) > Blade Man

Blade Man (T. Blade) > Strike Man

Strike Man (R. Striker) > Sheep Man

After beating all 8 stages, you'll need to finish all 4 Wily stages as well as Wily himself. Once you head to the Wily stages, you cannot go back, so stock up on any items you want beforehand (Finding a stage to farm screws on can be incredibly helpful for this). You can save between Wily stages on easy mode, but can't on the others. The Wily stage weakness chart is below.

Wily 1 (first set of bosses)

Nitro Man (W. Cutter) > Gemini Man (Shoots laser)

Nitro Man (W. Cutter) > Elec Man (Shoots bolts)

Blade Man (T. Blade) > Wood Man (Shoots leafs)

Wily 1 (second set of bosses)

Pump Man (W. Shield) > Flame Man (Shoots fire)

Strike Man (R. Striker) > Napalm Man (Shoots capsules/napalm)

Solar Man (S. Blaze) > Ring Man (Shoots rings)

Wily 1 (third set of bosses)

Sheep Man (T. Wool) > Tornado Man (Shoots tornadoes)

Commando Man (C. Bomb) > Frost Man (Shoots ice, takes extra damage if you explode the bomb next to him, not on him)

Chill Man (C. Spike) > Slash Man (Swipes at you, only takes extra damage from ice on ground, not shooting him with it)

Wily 2 (two mid-bosses and final boss)

Pump Man (W. Shield) > Fire Birds

Strike Man (R. Striker) > Octobulb

Blade Man/Commando Man (T. Blade/C. Bomb) > Crab Puncher

Wily 3 (boss)

Strike Man (R. Striker) > Block Devil

Wily 4

First you have to fight your way through all eight bosses at once, then...

Solar Man (S. Blaze) > Wily Machine Form 1

Pump Man (W. Shield) > Wily Machine Form 2

Wily 5 (final boss)

Chill Man (C. Spike) > Wily

First Playthrough:

This is where you are just going to go for "WHOMP WILY!". You're going to want to practice some of the levels here, and maybe even go into the challenges after you unlock the boss fights, so you can practice them. Make sure to save after you beat a level, and also make sure you have a decent understanding of their layouts. After getting a grasp on things, you can work on getting the other achievements.

Second Playthrough:

Now that you've got the game down, this is where you will be getting most of your achievements. Keep the game on easy mode, and make your way through it. First, start with the weakness chart, and make your way through the levels in order. However, you are going to want to focus on beating each level without dying. When you beat one, save and go to the next. If you die, reload your previous save so you still have no deaths. You should be picking up "HARD ROCK" as your make your way through the eight bosses. Also make sure you're killing every type of enemy you see so that you can work towards "WORLD WARRIOR". When you get to Wily 4, you have to reface all eight bosses in a row. This is where you are only going to use your mega buster to defeat them to unlock "TRUSTY SIDEARM". On easy, you can save between Wily levels, so continue playing until you beat the game without dying to unlock "TENACIOUS" and "INVINCIBLE". If you are playing a no death run, you should also be beating the game in under an hour, so "BLUE BOMBER" should be yours. You should also pick up "DESTROYER" on your second or third playthrough.

Further Playthroughs:

If you want to try beating the eight bosses without your helmet on in your second playthough for "HEADBANGING", you can, but I'd recommend against it since you are trying to beat the game without dying. You could also do it on Wily 4 when you reface the bosses, but again, then you have to face Wily without it since you can't die. Leave it for a playthrough after your second one. Getting "NO COFFEE BREAK" should be fairly simple once you've beat the game a time or two and understand the enemy patterns.

Now, the two that will give everybody fits: Beating the game on hard, and beating it without taking ANY damage.

For beating the game on hard: Patience. Patience. Patience. The enemy layouts are designed to make you want to rip your hair out, but the store will be your best friend. Play some levels to build up screws, and then splurge them on Beat Calls, Shock Guards, E-Tanks, and so on. They will help you an incredible amount. Again, start with Pump Man, because you'll earn quite a bit of screws (plus an E-tank) for your troubles. The wily levels are incredibly difficult, but all the extra lives and E-tanks you've purchased should make it manageable. Pay attention to the weakness chart, and make sure you buy the half damage item for the final fight against Wily. After some struggles, you should unlock "SUPERHERO".

For beating the game without taking damage: This is going to take time. However, this can be done on easy, so even if it seems impossible, it isn't. Work on a level at a time. You're going to have to keep reloading and such, but don't let it get the best of you. Only do a level or two a day if it helps your frustration level and just keep at it. Use Pump Man's bubble shield whenever you need it, it can be a life saver at the best times. Use your weapons and make sure you understand the boss patterns before attempting. The Wily levels will drive you insane, but you can save between them, so you'll get it eventually. After hanging in there, you should unlock "MR. PERFECT"

Conclusion:

Mega Man 10's achievements are significantly easier than Mega Man 9's, maybe aside from "MR. PERFECT". You'll still experience rage inducing moments, but the level layouts and enemy placement is a lot more forgiving this time around. Follow the above methods and you should find your way to the 200/200... or at the very least 170/200 haha.

i would agree that pump mans stage is the easiest to unlock hard rock on, take the low road and use pump mans water shield to take care of the shrimp and bubbles.

To clarify are you saying after you get the bubble shield, replay his level?

My order has always been to start off with pump man and i do concur with starting pump man's level.

What I did to stock up before SUPERHERO was this: Pump Man first, since he's easy when you learn his pattern, there's an E-tank and a 1up on his level, and the shield really helps in alot of places. Tip; Nitro Man is rather insane on Hard, might want to bring an E-tank for him just in case)

Once I had finished all 8, I went back to Pump Mans level to stock up on E-tanks and some screws, which I used to buy W-tanks.

Once I was full on E-tanks, I did Chill Mans level because it's full of screws; 60-100 or something per run. Once you've loaded up enough screws to purchase full on Beats, Shock Guards and 1ups, save and head to the castle. (I say get all screws needed before buying 1up, Beat and Shock Guards, since you might lose those if you're unlucky while farming Screws.)

As for the castle... All I can say is, having done the castle on Easy or Normal a few times first helps you learn patterns and spikes. Remember that you cant save in the castle on Hard, so HAVING practiced on all bosses on Normal or Easy might really help you out. Dont be afraid to use shield if it can save you, that's why you bought those W-tanks.

Weapon archives: Personally, I think this isnt much harder than on Easy or Normal, except Flame Man.

I go Buster for Elec and Gemini since they are moving so much, Blade to kill Wood Man in 2 good shots.

Napalm Man is simple, shoot twice with buster, run under, turn around and repeat. Ring Man shouldnt be bad if you know his pattern, buster. Flame Man fires his flames so close that I went for Shield; Just jump in next to him and he's gone.

Finally, the last three are probably the cheapest ones.

For Frost, I just learned how to time jumping over his ice, then fire away and watch out so he wont land on you.

Slash Man always tries to land in front of you, shoot him twice then jump back a bit, DONT let him corner you if possible!

Lastly, Tornado Man, run up and shoot him in the face, then jump away so his tornadoes miss. Move close again to trick his tornadoes, and jump away again, and watch out so he doesnt land on you.

Crab: Blow away his lower pincer asap, then just use Commando-bombs between his eyes to hit them both. Use Shield to avoid bubbles if you want to be on the safe side.

Block Devil: MEMORIZE the pattern somewhat before going up against this guy. Spam him with balls when possible, and when he's looking up on you from below, jump and hit him with blades until he's down.

Rematches: Use your Shock Guard here. Know the weaknesses, and have an E-tank or two ready if it's getting tough. Wily's first form is weak against Solar, just jump and shoot him in the eyesocket. The second form is weak against Shield, use it when he's flying above you, switch to ball when you're hiding underneath him to get in some extra hits.

Final match: Knowing how his attacks works is great, but as long as you have an E-tank, full Chill and just keep going at him, he should go down easily.

All in all, once I finished Hard, I had used one E-tank, two W-tanks, two Shock Guards and an 1up.

"Flames in Solar Man stage"

Can someone elaborate what flames we're talking about? I only remember the flames that jump from one hole into the other, I shot them quite a bit and they don't go away...is there something else I have to use to destroy them or is there some other "flame" in the game. Sorry just going by memory here as I am at work so I can't check.

Those flames you mentioned. Bubble Shield or Blade kill them easily

Another FYI for people who may find themselves struggling or trying to stock up on items, quickly. When you go through a level that has screws and don't feel like playing out the level. If you think you can kill mega man off quicker than finishing a level - your totals will be added to your current totals, regardless of finishing a level or not.
