DLC Info

 

What is in this new DLC Pack?

 

This DLC will contain:

 

  • A New Objective. Randomly occurring during waves 3, 6 and 10, this new objective will demand that teams retrieve a high priority package and securely escort it to a designated extraction zone on each map.
     
     
  • 2 New Maps. Firebase: Jade and Firebase: Goddess
     
     
  • New Gear Slot(Must be unlocked through Reinforcement Packs). A new slot will be available on the equipment screen, offering players a persistent gameplay bonus that will not expire after the end of a match. These new items will vary from weapon upgrades to character enhancements and will be available through reinforcement packs.
     
     
  • 3 New Weapons(Must be unlocked through Reinforcement Packs). Cerberus Harrier Assault Rifle, Reegar Carbine Shotgun, and Krysae Sniper Rifle
     
     
  • 6 New Characters(Must be unlocked through Reinforcement Packs). Vorcha Soldier, Vorcha Sentinel, Male Quarian Engineer, Male Quarian Infiltrator, Ex-Cerberus Vanguard, and Ex-Cerberus Adept.

This DLC is free.

 

How do I unlock these new items?

 

They will need to be unlocked from the store via Reinforcement packs. All items except for the "Cerberus Harrier" which is Ultra-Rare, is rare quality.

Vorcha Resilience (Passive)

A vorcha's adaptable nature give them advantages in combat.

Bloodlust

The vorcha flies into a frenzy, increasing movement speed, health regeneration, and melee damage. Each kill intensifies these effects and can stack up to three times. Additional stacks last for 15 seconds. Slows power use by 60%. Lasts until deactivated.

Male Quarian Passive

Same as Female but 6th evolution gives 20% weight reduction to all weapons, not just SMGs.

 

Arc Grenade

Stun and electrocute your enemies with an EMP-packed grenade. Effective against shields and barriers.

Tactical Scan

Reveal weaknesses in defenses, increasing all damage done to the target and slowing its movement speed. Provides the entire squad with a tactical readout. Only one scan can be active on a target.

I imagine you're the kind of person that would write an achievement guide before a game came out that just copy-pastes the descriptions, like "You'll get this achievement when you learn the origins of a monstrous enemy" or "You'll get this when you disable a group of fighter squadrons."

I wonder if Bioware will stay true to the codex and give the Vorcha a health bonus or health regen?

 

Also, in the Mass Effect universe, how does a whip work, silicon nano-manufacturers?

 

I would love this but I doubt it since Krogan also have this regenerative property but was left out.

and for my two-cents, I'm hoping lash is awesome, was excited for the Krogan Battlemaster but his lack of an AOE follow-up to biotic charge made him inferior to the human vanguard IMO...though I do love punching.

When you deactivate Battlemasters Barrier it creates Nova-like effect that damages and lifts unarmored and unshielded enemies. It also doesn't drain your shield so you can spam it by activating and disabling it right away. Very useful against Phantoms.

 

Anyway, why the warning not to buy PSPs? Were there any problems with previous DLC?

The reason I didn't save up credits is because it would make me play more to try an get everything. I still haven't gotten a Batarian Soldier from Resurgence. So I'm wondering what character will take me long to get.

 

I did the same thing last time, granted, I've only just started with this 'saving credits' thing with the last event, then spent normally afterwards. But during this event, I thought I'd save up whatever I gathered and go on a spending spree to see what it feels like the other way round... I've got just over 900k in credits.

 

I am honestly not holding my breathe on expecting to unlock more than two of the new classes however. :p

 

Looking forward to this DLC loads actually. After the break from this that started from the end of the previous event, returning to the game for this one has rekindled my enjoyment more than I thought. Perhaps because I've had enough of the player versus player BS from Call of Duty (Battlefield 3 not so much).

The patch notes might imply that items from the DLC will disappear in battle. I think they might mean the 'permanent' item slot, but nobody's sure. That aside, last time, when the DLC was released, it was actually a decent bit before DLC items started showing up in packs, and plenty of people wasted a fuckton of credits trying to get stuff that wasn't available yet.

Haha, I think I've finally realized after 5 years of playing it almost non-stop, that it's best now to try and enjoy it in very little installments. :p

 

Back on topic: I've been lurking the Xbox and checking the marketplace since 11am (lord knows why I started that early), as I'm just trying to get it downloaded before the other half comes home. I don't want to be sitting around waiting for it to download tonight when I could be playing it. ;)

 

Nah, no luck yet. Going to check again right now actually. Well, when the kids finish watching Numtums. XD

It was quite funny actually. Threads on the BSN genuinely demanding monetary compensation from Bioware etc.

 

I'll probably give this a bash tonight, but i won't be overplaying it. Kinda find the MP boring now but I guess that's cos I played too much when it was new out.

Either way, i'd give it time and rack up extra credits and wait until the packs say "now with a chance to get Resurgence and Rebellion items" or whatever.

Ha yea i saved up credits and learned my lesson from last time. i dumped at least half a million into PSP's and was quite pissed, but i looked at it as a good thing cause i still got weapons out of it. but im ready this time, but where is my DLC???

yea its true. not sure yet what it is, but i heard it will allow you to have something longer than a mission.

Yeah there's a new 'perk' slot in the DLC :p
