fax5jrj
Ehh... I don't know, I liked the setting of Transformers: WFC, this setting just looks too... I don't know. I hope they have Escalation, and definitely make it awesome like the other ones. Also, this time, don't make the maps packs mandatory!

Phantom Morph X
04/26/2011: Well, on isue 123 of the OXM magazine, on page 21, 2/3 of it is a small article on TF DOTM with two in game images. The article doesn't tell us anything new from what is in the link previously in this tread: High Moon Studios, one player campaign alternating Autobots and Decepticons, Unreal engine, multiplayer (althougn it doesn't say anything about it) and a few words on the gameplay. Jawsant
Cool! Like WFC I am going to have a hard time deciding where to pre-order. Since I didnt get my code from gamestop for WFC (I pre-ordered it 2 months in advance!) I might just go with amazon.com with this one since ratchet looks badass! Deathr0t
Phantom - (or anyone else) Can you confirm for me this game is going to play just like WFC? Is it developed by the same company? I will only purchase this game if the multiplayer is as epic and amazing as WFC was. I was hesitant assuming this was only being made for the movie (like the other 2 games that didn't fair nearly as well) Thanks
Phantom Morph X
Phantom - (or anyone else) Can you confirm for me this game is going to play just like WFC? Is it developed by the same company? I will only purchase this game if the multiplayer is as epic and amazing as WFC was. I was hesitant assuming this was only being made for the movie (like the other 2 games that didn't fair nearly as well) Thanks Well, for what I understood from the articles the gameplay is going to be very similar to WFC, with small changes like the StealthForce mode. As for the game itself, the campaign has no co-op, since the levels where made acording to the Transformers you are playing with. As for multiplayer, acording to IGN, there will be no escalation, but they don't say what they will have. But they mention that, from their hands-on, other aspects and polishings of the game might make up for the lack of co-op and escalation.
Phantom Morph X
05/26/2011: Well, tformers.com had a hands on TF DOTM game, and posted their information on it, plus a couple of new screenshots. This is the link: http://www.tformers.com/transformers-transformers-dark-of-the-moon-single-and-multi-player-hands-on-review/15752/news.html Among the things they say the single player info contradicts what we new already, they said you choose faction, while the achievements and other info says you jus play a linear campaing switching factions. They compare the game to WFC, saying it keeps the good traits from it. As for the multiplayer, I post the info hear, for those who just want to read that and don't care for the rest. Multiplayer As with the War For Cybertron preview, Activision had 15 stations ready for demos. The demos highlighted both the single player and the multi-player campaigns that are included with the game. However, all consoles were of the X-Box variety. However, we were assured that the PS3 version would be identical. Our first experience was with the multi-player campaigns. There were two different campaigns were were allowed to demo: Deathmatch and Capture The Flag. Both campaigns play very similar to the WFC versions. One exception is that you now also have a Stealth Mode transformation that is your primary alternate mode. Hitting the L trigger will activate a "boost", which will briefly transform you into vehicle mode and offer a speed boost. Releasing the L trigger reverts you to stealth mode. In stealth mode, you can 'crab walk' by using the left analog stick. If you want to do a natural turn, simply use the right analog stick to reposition your straight plane. If you prefer your robot mode, simply press the left analog stick down. This is your transformation command. In robot mode, you have access to 2 different weapons, as well as gernades (when stocked) and a melee command. Therefore, hand to hand combat is now possible. As before, you have four different classes to choose from: Decepticon Scout: Crankcase Hunter: Starscream Commander: Nemesis Prime Soldier: Megatron Autobots Scout: Mirage Hunter: Breakaway Commander: Optimus Prime Soldier: Warpath As before, each class has it's advantages and disadvantages. For instance, a hunter has a VTOL ability in Stealth Force mode, while the boost mode transforms him into a regular jet. You can also hover in the air in robot mode. However, on the ground you're relatively weak. You will be able to find bonus items scattered throughout the map, including armor ups, weapon powerups and more.
