Shelder
Instead of having several topics discussing the same thing, let's regroup everything in this thread. So, here is the official Open Issues and Service Status since February 25: Loyal TDU2 Fans, The upcoming patch has been sent to Microsoft for approval. We will post additional information as soon as we hear back. The goal of this patch is as follows: Improve login process to allow a higher volume of successful connections Increase online stability across all multiplayer functionality Improve performance and stability of Friends List and Friend Invites Address issues related to file corruption Enable Club and MyTDULife functionality Enable Co-Op races Enable weather while offline Address an issue where players can get a Lancia which has no car data (the patch should prevent this from occurring in the future, and restore players who are currently affected by the issue) This post will be continually updated with all the latest details. We're very thankful for our Xbox 360 players who have shown passion and dedication while we get these issues resolved. Thanks to everyone that has posted their issues, feedback, and positive words here on the official TDU2 forum. Sincerely, GMDestra and the TDU2 Team Service Status Online Play – Online, being monitored closely DLC Purchasing – Online Pre-Order Code Redemption - Online Pre-Order Casino Code Redemption -Online Getting pre-order cars and Casino in-game - Some users are reporting that their cars don't show up in the Used Car Dealer after the code is redeemed. If this affects you, try playing the game in Offline Mode to see if the cars show up. Getting pre-order cars and Casino in-game - There is a bug where pre-order cars don't show up in the Used Car dealer if you are online. However, you can play Offline, purchase the car, then sign back on and you'll still have it. MyTDU2Life - Offline - This is working as designed. TDU2MyLife is dependent on the Club Server. Clubs - Offline - Scheduled to go live when the next patch is released. Until the next round of optimizations goes live, you may experience issues with: Signing in to online mode Seeing other players in the world and on the map Seeing your Friends lists and sending/receiving friend requests Claiming your pre-order cars and accessing the Casino Entering multiplayer races and joining friends' sessions In-game communications Issues being investigated once multiplayer issues are resolved: No Accessory/Avatar Controls (Xbox Wheel) - Xbox wheel users report that they cannot control the accessories or their Avatar if they are using a racing wheel. This will be looked into after the current round of priorities is addressed. That's it for now, but as soon as I get new information, I'll let you know by updating this post. *°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°* 03-04-2011 Hey All, I apologize that at this time I don't have an update to provide. We are working with Microsoft and Sony to get the patches released as quickly as possible, but unfortunately we don't have a specific ETA regarding when they will be able to go live.03-09-2011 Hey Everyone, The patches are still in the approval process. We hope to have more information to share within the next couple of days. Thanks again for your patience and understanding!Hey Everyone, Sorry to keep you guys waiting. We are getting close to being able to publish some more specifics on where we're at in the process. My hope is that we should have some more details up in the next couple of days. Once again, sorry to keep you guys waiting for so long - we've been working as hard as we can to get the updates released as quickly as possible. There are no delays that I am aware of. We are close to being able to provide an ETA, but it will take a couple more days before the info will be finalized enough to post. Once again, I'm sorry for the wait and I also apologize that we haven't been able to provide the level of transparency that many of you are asking for. Rest assured that we are doing our best to publish as much information as possible, and will continue doing our best to keep you in the loop.I can understand your logic in this theory. From an external perspective, unfortunately you haven't been provided with the level of transparency that would be needed to see the process moving along through the various channels (QA / Development / Microsoft / Sony / PR/ Marketing / CS). Internally, we've been pushing hard to move the patch forward and haven't had any failures in the approval process that I'm aware of. The turnaround time that you are experiencing is the due to the standard array of checks and balances that come with the process. We're currently meeting to discuss the potentially final update schedule and hope to have an update for you guys soon. Once again, I'm sorry for the delay, and apologize that the process couldn't be as transparent as many of our dedicated fans would have preferred. Unfortunately these limitations are outside our control.03-09-2011 - Curropted save files patch released ! Hey All, The Xbox patch (Title Update) is scheduled to go live around this time. As a reminder, this patch is only designed to fix the issues surrounding corrupt saves: Previously corrupted save files should be recovered Files should no longer corrupted. - Big patch coming Monday 14 ! The first of our game optimizations for console will be live tonight on Xbox 360 at 1am PT (9am GMT) and PS3 is soon to follow. This update will resolve a corruption issue that some players experienced with their saved game files. In some cases corrupted files will be automatically repaired. List of fixes: Improve login process to allow a higher volume of successful connections Increase online stability across all multiplayer functionality Improve performance and stability of Friends List and Friend Invites Enable Club and MyTDULife functionality Enable Co-Op races Enable weather while offline Address an issue where players can get a Lancia which has no car data (the patch should prevent this from occurring in the future, and restore players who are currently affected by the issue) We have worked diligently to stabilize the network and address log-in issues. Friends lists will now be populated, invites will work correctly and Clubs will be brought back online. The Casino has been optimized and the bug causing players to lose money has been resolved. We have also addressed many of the exploits in the game and will be monitoring cheating in all its forms. The TDU2 community has been a great support to the development team and we look forward to rewarding your loyalty soon with free DLC content. We should be able to provide dates once Microsoft and Sony approve the content and will update the community as soon as they are expected to go live. Best, The TDU2 Development Team03-14-2011 Hey Everyone, There were some technical issues surrounding the deployment of the patch and unfortunately it did not go live as scheduled. The new ETA is 9AM GMT tomorrow (March 15). As a heads-up, Clubs will not go live immediately with the patch. Club functionality is "fixed" in the patch, but in order to make sure things are 100%,we are going to perform some internal testing on the live service before enabling Clubs for everyone. Thanks for your patience and understanding. Edited March 14, 2011 by Shelder Patch releases
Buffmaster
Maybe the main reason why the testing is taking so long is because they have to spend 40 to 60 hours playing the game before one of their saves gets corrupted.
oRiGiNaL ReaPeR x
uhhh wtf?! was that todays update?...why the hell is he talking about still testing when apparently the patch was sent to microsoft for "approval" like a week ago...they need to stop fucking lying to us and sort it out! OctagonQontrol
Fact is, the patch ain't coming. Some people are guessing tomorrow around 4PM PST but that is still unconfirmed. I don't buy ANY of the crap they telling us about playtesting. If MW2 or Halo has got an issue, you will see a patch in days or maybe a week. Microsoft (or Atari) is just not bothered in getting this sorted properly.
XxINYOUREYE11xX
Maybe they are still testing for the club features which on their statement it doesn't say anything about the clubs. I just hope they already have a patch coming for friendslist, casino features working properly and online interactions working on a consistent basis. I have lost all faith in atari/eden, I have had 2 corrupt save files, I have fallen through the road several times just driving along and had to restart my game, I can't see anyone on my friendslist(I have 10 people that have this game on friends list), I can't play poker on a regular basis because the rooms are empty, poker tournament progress doesn't save, made it to level 3 and been reset to level 1 and have to pay 25,000 credits for it again even though I already paid it and didn't lose, obviously clubs are not available and have tried to boost online chases and they are not working on a consistent basis either. I loved the first TDU for the exploration and freedom to do whatever you want but this one has been a disappointment with all the bugs.
SatNiteEduardo
I think he may mean that both MS and them are testing it. He does not say it has come back from MS or anything like that. People are understandably pi$$ed off and getting impatient with full justification but I think it is making them read more into things and speculate. Official word is the patch is with MS and is being tested. There is nothing official that suggests this is not the case. Also given its an MMO game the patch would need to be tested on the servers as if clubs are live so presumably the devs have had to set up a live server test environment for MS to have a play in. So this "MS test" is probably more of a joint effort than most games. Edited March 4, 2011 by SatNiteEduardo

OctagonQontrol
Blow me... Well, not the community-peeps here, but Atari/Eden... Just read a few posts on their forum which, in a nutshell, state: we have no clue what we're doing nor are we reading your posts but eventually we will look into it... Thanks for the report guys. I'll look into this in more detail. In the past, when I saw "CRC Broken" reports, I took it to mean that the CRC couldn't be entered (which did occur from time to time). I wasn't aware of the possibility that no one was receiving their money, even if the CRC was fully online and operational. I'll test and escalate accordingly. Yep, was just offline for a second. We're seeing some strange issues with the Casino on the PS3 which we're troubleshooting now. All in all; things that are going on for weeks now, only just got noticed by Mr. GMDestra, the all-knowing super admin on the forums...

Ant Montana
The patch could solve a lot of problems, but the main problems exit with their own server, so they will have to sort that out and that wont require any patch.

IRELAND NO 1
I think imo the problem is the patch they tested and sent to Microsoft for approval was for stuff like clubs, casino connection, friends list etc. Now so many bugs glitches and exploits have been found since then! They will all have to be added to the patch, probably a bigger patch to cover everything or Microsoft will not approve it for release. Last thing Microsoft want is a patch to fix 50% of the problems, then another patch in a few weeks to fix the rest.
Apache 117
Turn on my xbox after leaving it for a week because of that corrupt save expect the patch to be updated to tdu2 and catch up on some much needed game time and is not there. This should be 2 weeks to the day that they stated the patch would be and where is it. Very tempted to trade it in for fight night.
