Overview: + Estimated achievement difficulty: 3/10 + Offline: 13 (180http://tinyurl.com/gicon) + Online: 2 (20http://tinyurl.com/gicon) + Approximate time: 8-10 hours + Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 + Missable achievements: 0 + Glitchy achievements: 0 + Does difficulty affect Achievements: No + Unobtainable achievements: 0 + Avatar Awards: 0 + Do cheats disable achievements: Yes + Extra equipment needed: No Introduction: Undead Nightmare is a DLC pack released for Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network on October 26th, for the price of 800MP, or $10. The main focus of the pack is the single player, though there are also 2 new multiplayer modes: "Land Grab" and "Undead Overrun". Walkthrough: Most of the achievements are rather straight-forward and should be gained when completing the main story, however, here is a short guide to get you started: After completing a mission, be sure to check the surrounding area for any locations and "save" them. A location will get overrun again after 72 hours, however, every 72 hours óne location gets overrun, so that means you won't need to worry much about re-saving any locations. Be sure to keep helping the towns and don't let them get overrun again, as survivors will die and it will only take longer. As you complete missions, the 4 stranger missions will pop-up (see below for a list). I suggest you complete these as soon as they show up. After completing the main story, start working on the challenges as you will have obtained a special item granting you full ammo, and the horse "Death". First, capture all the 4 horses of the apocolypse, then save all 16 lost souls at Fort Mercer and El Presidio, after that, complete all treasure hunter challenges. Now it's best to do sharpshooter, and last but not least do Undead Hunter. As some players have reported the unicorn to only appear after completing all challenges, I suggest you first complete these and then break the unicorn. Lastly, the 2 online achievements remain. If you are looking for partners, please visit the Achievement Trading Thread. Conclusion If you follow this guide, the achievements shouldn't take you more than 8 hours. It's a great DLC and be sure to take your time to explore and enjoy the great story. Good luck! http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/961/s107.jpgSpinning Plates - 25:gsicon: Have every territory saved at the same time during the Undead Nightmare. Every town and some of the gang hideouts are now overrun by zombies, and it's your goal to have them all "cleansed" at the same time. If you get near a territory it will appear on your map with the status "Unknown". If you approach it the status will be "Overrun". If you capture a territory for the first time all survivors (amount depends on size of the territory) will be alive. Though after a certain amount of time the territory will be overrun again and the status will change to "Under Attack". If you won't help the territory it will become "Overrun" again and survivors will start dying until none of them are left. Fort Mercer, Casa Madrugada and El Presidio are always "safe". A territory will take about 30-72 hours (in-game) to become attacked again, so you'll have to move quick. The best way is travelling by horse as fast-travelling takes a longer in-game time. There are 13 territories in America and 9 in Mexico. Even if a town is overrun and all survivors are dead, you can still unlock the achievement and save the towns. The signs on the map mean the following: White: Unknown Location. Blue Cross: Safe Zone. Green: Under Attack. Red: Overrun. Red Cross: All the survivors are dead, can still be taken back but with less protection. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/961/s108.jpgZed's Dead, Baby - 40http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif Attain 100% Game Completion statistic in Undead Nightmare. This achievement requires you to get 100% completion in the statistics. Here is a list for 100% completion: Complete all 19 missions, this will come through natural story progression. Complete all 4 stranger missions in Armadillo, MacFarlane's Ranch, Tall Trees and Casa Madrugada. Save all 16 survivors (Lost Souls), at El Presidio (6) and at Fort Mercer (10). Complete all 4 challenges, see below. Obtain every outfit, this will come over time as you complete challenges. Break the Unicorn, see below. Kill the Chupacabra, see below. Have every territory saved once. Clear out all graveyards once, which will come as you complete story missions. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/961/s109.jpgMad Marston: The Trail Warrior - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif Attain Rank 5 in all Undead Nightmare Challenges. There are 4 Undead Nightmare challenges: Undead Sharpshooter Undead Hunter Four Horses of the Apocalypse Undead Treasure Hunter The location of the horses: Pestilence is found somewhere in Tall Trees, Manzinita Post, and Aurora Basin. War is located somewhere between Benedict Point, Tumbleweed and Gaptooth Breach. Famine is located somewhere between Chuparosa and Tesoro Azul. Death is given to the player after completing the main story, though may also be found in Mexico. Undead Hunter: To kill bears, wolfs and cougars with a torch, take the horse Pestilence as it can't die. Cougars are often found west of Torquemada and in Tall Trees, bears can be found in Tall Trees and wolfs can be found pretty much everywhere. Undead Sharpshooter: Rank 3: Equip Phosphorus bullets and make 5 headshots. Rank 4: Go to El Presidio, as 2 of each spawn there. Rank 5: Best way is to go to El Presidio, and execute (move close and press without aiming) the zombies. Undead Treasure Hunter locations, click here for a map. (credits to Kaz928 for the map). To find a treasure map, find a chest at a random encounter which involves a camp. Far north of Hennigan's Stead, in a cove. You have to move outside the borders and high into the mountains. South east of Armadillo. At the south-western edge of New Austin. South-east of Las Hermanes. West of Casa Madrugada. Undead Overrun is a multiplayer mode in which hordes of zombies will keep attacking the player until the player dies, with a maximum party of 4. Each wave has a time limit which may be extended by opening a coffin, which will also give ammo. Any player can heal another player if he/she is down. Here are some tips: Keep Moving: Don't seek cover. Aim for the Heads: Ammo is rare, and headshots are an instant kill. Team-Up: If you split up it will only get harder, stay close, save your ammo and try to execute if possible. Play with 4 players: Obviously makes it easier, doing it with 2 is hard, 3 is doable and 4 is rather easy. You only have to get to Wave 14, if you die or the time runs out there, the achievement will still unlock. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/961/s111.jpgKingpin - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif Fight off 8 unique players during your time on top during Land Grab in Multiplayer Free Roam. Landgrab is a game mode which can be started from Free Roam which every player (also those without Undead Nightmare) can play, though only a player with the Undead Nightmare pack can start a game. The game is free-for-all and you have to hold a certain location such as Armadillo. The longer you keep enemy players out, the more points you will gain. This achievement can be boosted by joining a private free roam with 9 players and starting a Land Grab game. For finding other players, please see the Achievement Trading Thread. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/961/s112.jpgSix Years in the Making - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif Find and kill a sasquatch. The Unicorn can be found north of Diez Coronas and west of Torquemada, if you look on the map there are 3 horses painted there. If it does not appear, fast travel to Cochinay and fast travel back to Torquemada so it will spawn. Some players have reported it to only appear after completing all challenges, though this is yet unconfirmed. The Unicorn is a Hungarian Half-Bred with rainbows and butterflies, and obviously a horn on its forehead. Undead Hunter challenge 5 requires you to kill it, so that means you have to get to Undead Hunter level 5 before you can kill it. It is a rather small, black hound-like creature which will be marked on your map. 2 shots in the head will kill it. Possible locations: South of Perdido, South of Sepulcro, Casa Madrugada and Northern Diez Coronaz. xbfrittsox360
Didn't want to waste a new thread on this, but I have a quick question about one of the challenges. It requires you to kill 5 flaming zombies in one dead-eye, so obviously one of the best ways is to gather a group of them, throw a fire bottle and shoot them. The "Journal" recommends to go to Thieves Landing to get fire bottles but I can't find them anywhere there. Simple problem, just need a little help. Edit: I originally looked for the achievement discussion thread but somehow missed it. Sorry I didn't ask this there instead of here.

You will get Fire bottles when you save Thieves Landing from the zombies. Does anyone have any easy method to get the last sharpshooter challenge? I am terrible with this sniper rifle... The challenge is get 5 headshots in 8 seconds with a sniper rifle (no deadeye)
Kaz928
My gut says not to help a Bama fan, but i'm a nice guy lol I'm horrible sniping too but I got lucky and found the shack in tanner's reach full of zombies. Not sure what triggers it, I went there after I beat the game but there is a woman outside shooting at (in my case) a single zombie outside, she tells you not to open the door but what I did was got the sniper out opened the door and just aimed high enough for headshots. I couldn't believe how fast the challenge complete notification popped up
Celldweller
I don't know if you want to add that there are a total of 22 territories for the Spinning Plates achievement. 13 in America and 9 in Mexico.

VyperJMc
Here's a little tip for the "kill 5 zombies in 8 seconds with the sniper rifle (no dead-eye)" challenge... go to Jorge's Gap (just southwest of Armadillo). It's just one long ass canyon filled with zombies. You can look down into the gap & just pick 'em off. Load up on sniper ammo & go nuts.
Vanilla Coke Zero
i don''t understand spinning plates. i went to blackwater because it was under attack after i saved it, but there's no one there. no objective. i go to the map marker that says under attack, and nothing. no option to do anything. what do i do? is this a glitch? nfntjy
Yeah, I finally figured that out, worked perfectly. Just got 5 to follow me around in an overrun town, then just got close and executed them. Also, to kill bears and cougars with the torch, use the Pestilence horse, and let the animal run up on you. It can't kill the horse, as it is invincible. just swing your torch from the horse as the bear/cougar runs around trying to knock you off. be careful though, as the bear can still injure and possibly kill you. Markolie
Thanks for the comments . I've added "Spinning Plates" as a missable achievement, as a town "dies" if no survivors make it. I'll try to add the more difficult challenges later today. Does anybody know where the Unicorn and the Chupacabra are, or do they spawn randomly? pijankengur
I've added "Spinning Plates" as a missable achievement, as a town "dies" if no survivors make it. This would suggest that by extension the 100% completion is a missable achievement. You are doing WAY too much guessing. There's so much wrong with this guide. I'll start with saying that I've played say a week in game, and only one town has been attacked so far. So much for 24-48 hours. Also I don't think saving towns once goes to completion statistic, since my last two towns saved did not add to it. I don't see any use in this guide. I don't see how it could have helped anyone with half a brain. You basically describe what has to be done with spinning plates incorrectly, you guess what's required for 100% and you just list the challenges. Am I missing something? How has this helped anyone. Do note that this guide has only been out for several hours now, and the DLC for about 24. I'm adding as much information as I can, and if it's not helpful yet it makes sense. I'm trying my best to create one, but I don't have access to all information yet... 100% is not missable as a town will only lose all its survivors if it has previously been saved, and 100% means it's saved once. Are you sure that it didn't add up to your total? For the time it takes a town to get overrun, I've tested it. I slept (in-game) a total of 30 hours and then one town got overrun, and after saving it and sleeping again it took about that time again. Thanks for the feedback. Could you please submit any information you have so I can update the guide? Edited October 27, 2010 by Markolie

Also a tip for the challenge for 5 flaming in 1 dead eye, you can just run through a mob with War and turn around and dead eye. Looking great for < a day out
