Fire Mage
First off... Holy fuck. Pardon my language. Alright... So. I'm in DNA Sequence 3, doing the part with La Volpe at the beginning. We just saved Claudio and now I have to escort Claudio away. Turns out, my game decided to somehow glitch to death and cause me all sorts of agony and pain. It places the marker that I'm supposed to escort Claudio to ALL the way at the bottom of the map where La Volpe's place is. I'm thinking "Well, hopefully this isn't hard." Because I didn't know any better about where I had to escort him. So here I go. And one of the first things I notice is that I can't even go 5 feet ahead without getting desynchronized because slow-ass Claudio can't keep up. That pisses me off. So now I have to go really slow, which I hate in games (unless the stealth is done well). Now I see that guards are all over the place. Joy. So I get into a walking crowd, let go of everything on the controller, and Ezio walks with them. Two seconds later, Claudio's idiot AI pushes one of the people in the back of the group, they move, Ezio glitches and gets kicked out of the group. I try to get back in... I get kicked back out. I wait until another group comes by. Same thing happens again. So now I have to manually move with the group. Fine, I do so. Except now, the group somehow decides to hate me and disbands. The people sort of spread out and the gray coloring won't happen anymore for me to get into the group. Several minutes later (and several desynchronizations because of events like this happening in front of guards), I finally get into a decent group. But then I get desynchronized because Claudio gets caught up in a group of people behind me. By now I'm pretty pissed at starting this all over several times, and I continuously look at the map, with the marker still being placed down at La Volpe's place. After many more tries, I finally make it out of the city by going a super long way around over a bridge, etc. Nothing desynchronizes me for going too far away from the objective, etc. I'm traveling the countryside, moving like a snail, then a guard pops out on a horse out of nowhere, and I'm detected. I get to start it all over AGAIN! By this time, I've spent about 30 minutes on it. So the first thing I do is just stab a few civilians. I get desynchronized for being a bad person. Except guess what? This time, instead of losing Claudio or getting detected, it's because I killed civilians... and this somehow triggers something in my lucky glitched code and places the marker in the correct space, about 75 feet from the starting point. Then I promptly throw my controller in bewilderment. Never have I had such a weird event occur in a game. I wish I were making this up, but I'm not. I'm not sure if my Xbox has some problem developing where the code operated wrong (I hope not) or just my game got all of out wack with its cache, what it loaded, or something. But now, I'm ripping down posters to clear my notoriety like I should have been 45 minutes ago. Wow... Sorry for the rant, but I just had to let out steam from this unusual occurrence. xoAly
Something like that happened to my boyfriend. It was a glitch in memory 6 I think where for full synch you had to remain undetected. In the same spot, he always got desynchronized for either killing a civilian or getting too far away from the target. There wasn't a civilian to kill or a target to follow. Eventually he just turned off the game and got pissed off. A few minutes later when he played again it was completely fine. Weird..... Anyway, sorry that happened. It must have been frustrating......
