Explanation to:

  • 1 - You have one Chance per Week, per Character, per PoE Level to get the Bounty. You need 2 free Bountyslots in your Inventory to get the Bounty (Bungie will fix that) The double Drop is currently a bug, keep both Bounties in your Inventory! (IMPORTANT)
  • 3 -Loot in PoE Level 32, 34 or 35 the Major Chest with a Treasure Key. There is not a 100% Chance to get the Cipher but it is a very high Chance.
  • 5 - The Timeperiod to wait is between 12 and 100 Hours in Real Life Time! This part is completely random for each of us. The Timeperiod is over when Variks has over his Head the "!" Symbol.
  • 6 - The Points in PoE are slightly different each Week, the rough breakdown is as follows:

Level 28 = 75 Points for the final Boss + 75 - 100 Points if other Bosses are available
Level 32 = 200 Points for the final Boss + 75 - 100 Points if other Bosses are available
Level 34 = 350 Points for the final Boss + 75 - 100 Points if other Bosses are available
Level 35 = 450 Points for the final Boss + 75 - 100 Points if other Bosses are available

Tipp: If your Team die after killing a Boss, you can kill / farm the Boss again.

The Chaperone

  • 1 [00:06] - Equip the Last Word and your favorite class super, special and heavy weapon. With the Last Word equipped, killstreaks achieved with your special weapon or heavy weapon or class super also count towards the quest progress. Single class super, special or heavy weapon Kills do not count but the killstreals or double downs (as example) also count towards the quest progress. The higher your killstreak, the more you get % for the first step.
  • 2 [02:40] - Speak to Amanda
  • 3 [03:19] - Purchase a generous Donation (cost 15000 Glimmer)
  • 4 [04:03] - Bring the donation to Amanda Holliday
  • 5 [04:34] - Use Shotgun to defeat Guardians in Crucible or against yellow high enemies in PvE. Play PvP because you receive 3% for each kill and there is no punishment if you die. In PvE you receive only 0.25-0.5% for each yellow enemy (except Bosses - 6%)
  • 6 [05:21] - Speak to Amanda in the Tower Hangar
  • 7 [05:52] - Use a Shotgun to defeat the Shield Brothers on the Dreadnaught. It is a separate 290 strike with matchmaking. You really need a good fireteam! It is enough if you use the shotgun on the last life of the brothers
  • 8 [06:42] - Speak to Amanda
  • 9 [07:19] - Wait for the next weekly reset
  • 10 [07:35] - Speak to Amanda
  • 11 [08:20] - Stats / Gameplay

Great guide and thanks for this. Just got my first exotic bounty last night after I leveled up my Cryptarch to level 8 and bought an exotic engram from Xur. Obviously I doubt those have anything to do with it.

I ended up choosing 'A Voice in the Wilderness' since I'm not too interested in Fusion rifles and I'm trying to upgrade a legendary shotgun already.

if they all require 500 points in the crucible i will never get these weapons.. -2 points per death? yea.. i'm not the greatest pvp player.. nice vids though predni

and I'm assuming these bounties show up after a certain level? I'm 25 and never seen one.. so 28+?

Don't think so. I got a bounty and I was only level 25.

For the 'Pocket Infinity' weapon, you state you have to find a damaged Ghost on Venus. What happens if you've collected all Ghosts the game has to offer...

Either way, I've already got the shotgun which is really good up close, but I'm hoping I can get the pulse rifle next.

im pretty sure its a random ghost that has nothing to do with ghosts you revive.

its probly a drop from an enemy or something

On the bad Juju I noticed if you do a hard strike it counts as 2 complete, so you really only have to do a minimum of 13 on hard.

With the multiplayer portion of the Bad Juju, I remember reading somewhere that if you die you lose 50 points. Or is this not the case?

I'll have to start a few on Hard then! I just got this yesterday and want to knock out the strikes before Xur leaves! Only have 8 done and it was getting so boring doing Sepiks Prime every time just for a quick completion.

The crucible isn't nearly as difficult as everyone's saying it is. I'm not very good at it but if you get a solid fusion rifle or shotgun, you should be able to do alright. The first exotic bounty I got was the hand cannon and I thought the 500 points in the crucible was going to be a grind but these are my numbers as i did it:

0 - 33 - 70 - 110 - 146 - 242 - 281 - 306 - 358 - 411 - 428 - 445 - 500

That's 12 games, not quitting out of any. +5 points per kill, -2 per death isn't all that bad. You basically gotta go .400 in each match. If you kill 4 people and die 10 times, you're flush. Plus if you grind it all out in a row, naturally you start to get better. I also like to load up on crucible/queen bounties but I don't recommend ones that require you to use certain guns. 20 headshots with the hand cannon or scout rifle often end up causing you to miss easy kills because you're using inferior weapons. Some people act like this is simply impossible to do but I actually thought at first that you had to get 500 guardian kills. Now that would have sucked...

I'm seriously starting to wonder if the scout rifle bounty is even in the game. I've done all five of the other bounties. And I haven't once seen the bounty for the rifle show up as an option. Hell, at this point I'm turning down the exotic bounties because I've done all of them already. You'd think that at some point, the bounty for the scout rifle would show up. It's also odd that, of all exotic weapons in the game, the fate of all fools is the only weapon that no one has ever managed to get a picture of.

I wouldnt doubt that you are right about that. Could be left over code from something Bungie cut before release. I was just awarded my 6th Exotic bounty and have never seen the option for it. Would love to have an awesome SR for PvE like the FoaF.

Man, if only I had seen this post earlier. I am now stuck with the machine gun bounty. Oh well, atleast the other one I chose ended up being for the shotgun.

Anyway, nice guide, looks quite helpful. Hopefully the SR bounty actually exists because I would prefer that over everything else.

He didn't write it if that's what you're implying. He just copied and pasted it from the original site that posted it.

As far as the SR bounty, I call bullshit. The steps are vague as all hell. No one has ever come out and proven they have it. No pictures of it exist. And again, I've had 8 exotic bounties now. And it hasn't shown up in ANY of them.

It is a ghost specific to the bounty. You can't see or collect it without the bounty and it is in the same place every time.

Are all exotics from bounties the same? I have found legendaries with bonuses different from the ones for sale at the tower.

I don't see how they can differ from each other, the main upgrades are definitely the same, as is the damage. However, I'm not 100% sure on the 'Choose 1 of 3' upgrades. Although comparing my exotics (random drop ones) to images online of those exotics appear to have the same upgrades and stats.

I do know, however, that Exotic armour pieces can have different stats, as the Titan Body armour that Xur had had a much bigger Intellect boost than the one a friend had (Something like 130 vs 113)
