4 player Mercs

There's been rumors, there's been requests, and I believe it can easily happen if they upped the enemy count for each extra player that joins the game, so 4 players in the game could make it so the enemy count goes up to 250 instead of the standard 150, Now me and friends used to use versus mode in team slayers as 4 player mercs, just running around working together to kill the enemies not worrying about who wins or killing each other, so I believe it could work very well in Re6, anyone agree? Also if you find any confirmation on this whether it's true or false that'd be appreciated as well.

Hmm, can't say I want it, the system doesn't exactly translate well to a 4 player dynamic. RE5 Versus isn't a very good analogue, I imagine it's good fun but it ignores the fundamentals of scoring and survival that is Mercenaries. Survival would either be a joke or annoying, being easy to survive with so much coverage or being annoying if the game ends when a single player dies. Combos wouldn't end with 4 players either, even a team of average players could, a serious reason why upping the enemy count isn't enough to compensate for extra players.

Just my opinion, I'm not going to boycott or anything if it's in, but I'll be sticking with Duo Mercenaries :)

EDIT: Maybe I misunderstood your context and you're wanting a "competitive" Mercenaries mode similar to (Team) Slayers? I wouldn't object to that if PVP was disabled (too many trolls/idiots), it would be interesting to do compete against others' scores in real time.

I'll mostly be playing Solo and Duo mercs, but I'd like 4 players to mix it up every now and then, I think it'd be pretty fun for you and 3 other people to kill loads of enemies together, it's already disappointing enough in my opinion of course that 4 player co-op in the campaign is only available during crossovers, don't get me wrong that's a pretty cool idea and I'm glad they allowed even that, but I would have loved playing through with 4 players from start to finish.
