sam49
Since cricket is a quite and forgotten sport in the forums I made this to discuss about cricket!

sam49
What are everyones view on the first day of the second test england against New Zealand. I think that finally England may have found a decent keep because if you look at it all the past bastmen made high scores and got pressure on them from their first innings, but Tim Ambrose hasnt got that much pressure on him, but you never know! Augustus
I personally hate them. Late at night in the summer, when they start chirping... Ugh, I could kill someone.
Mr Arrow
I personally hate them. Late at night in the summer, when they start chirping... Ugh, I could kill someone. ...and it's a six! Last cricket game I saw Ian Botham was still playing. Unless you pay BIG $ and stay up all night, cricket is NEVER coming to American TV.
sam49
Well looks like New Zealand have got a early wicket, but England look to be back on track. As of writing England are 56-1.

sam49
Well its about time they won a test series. Last one they won was in Summer 2007.
MopFlop
last away win was in 05 aswell we should of cheated n played some random team at it, like latvia (no offence to them but the y dont exactly have a well known team so england should of had a decent chance)
sam49
Yeah I forgot about that last away win thing as well. Dunno exactly why England were rated world's no 2 since nearly all the matches they had in that run were against fairly weak sides.

Dunno exactly why England were rated world's no 2 since nearly all the matches they had in that run were against fairly weak sides. Probably because we're one of the worlds most known, I dunno. Good that Strauss got a century, keeps him still int he game.

sam49
Finally a win for England. YAY! But to be honest without Monty England could've possibly lost the match.
Spud 923
i reckon england will go on a good run now for the next few months because that victory in New zealand will have given them confindence especially the top order batsman

sam49
Yeah I wonder if he will make 400 under 400 balls. I doubt it though because he will be playing with more awareness to break the record.
Pizzorno
Sorry for the major bump folks but I thought that it's a good time to ressurect some cricket discussion given that the Ashes is coming up this summer. Surely I can't be the only cricket fan on here?
shilbo-assassin
No, i loved the ashes last time. I'm hoping my contract at work finishes just in time for it. Ironically I just started working here here about the time the last one was on. England have gone from being good (then) to shite ...now to looking promising again. Austraila cant win 5-0 this time surely? No Warne, McGrath etc.
