Dead Rising 3 is a Launch Title for the Xbox One. Released November 22, 2013, the game has the play pitted against THOUSANDS of the undead with crazy over the top weapons and vehicles and absolute mayhem.

The achievement list is fairly straight forward but time consuming. The game has co op which can make the more tedious aspects of the game more enjoyable. Dead Rising 3 can technically be completed in one playthrough. But two is much easier.

Playthrough One - Completionist

During this playthrough you are going to want to do every side quest and defeat every Psychopath. This will allow you to not only get every missable achievement for defeating all Psychos but it will also allow you to level up and get closed to Level 50. During this playthrough you want to try to grab as many collectibles and blueprints as possible as they will assist you tremendously. They will also give you more PP to level you up. During your playthrough you will see survivors that you need to save by defeating all of the zombies. They will not join your posse but you will get experience from it. Save 15 survivors and you unlock Man of the People. If you complete every quest that comes up and prioritize the ones that the timer is ticking down fast you will be able to get the entire game done with easily more than a day left on the game timer. That being said, depending on how much exploring you do you may have more or less.

During this playthrough you want to focus on allocating skill points to Life and Melee. These are the two most important Attributes. You will then want to allocate 6 points to Mechanic and 4 points to Smarts in order to unlock Gang Banger. From here you can spread out your skill points however you want, although depending on your play style Ranged may be useless. You will want to make sure you focus on Mechanic though for the kill related achievements. Max that out and you unlock Specialist and your vehicles are indestructible.

- Psychopath Tips

See the individual achievements for specific tips. However there are two extremely important strategies that will make all bosses easy to defeat. The first is to utilize the left thumbstick to roll out of the way and dodge enemy attacks. The other is to always carry a Flame Sword with you. To build this combo weapon you need a Broadsword and Motor Oil. Hitting with X will not do nearly as much damage as Y. Using only Y on a Psychopath will result in them losing one box of health every two hits. Often times this can be such a speedy process that you will not need to eat food, but it’s always nice to have some with you (specifically Orange Juice or Whiskey).

Hopefully by the end of this playthrough you are at least level 30. If you do all quests that come up and save any survivors whenever it’s logical you should be 30-35.

Playthrough Two - Nightmare

This second playthrough will act as a New Game+ playthrough. This can be done at any level but you want to be at least level 30 and have most of the health upgrades. All of your stats will carry over including blueprints and collectibles. You will still get plenty of skill points for completing levels which will assist you. It is suggested you alwasys keep food on you and multiples of the Flaming Sword and the Guan Do. They are good for bosses and large crowds of zombies respectively. But weapon health does deteriorate faster on Nightmare mode. You want to ignore all quests except for the main ones as you have less time. Because you should have done everything the first time around, it doesn’t matter if you gather survivors or defeat Psychopaths.

This can be done in 3-4 hours if playing with two people( as difficulty is always the same regardless of players) or 5-6 hours solo. What will shave off a lot of time with two players is having one person navigate while the other drives. Unless you have photographic memory you will probably be looking at the map after every other turn.

Miscellaneous

After your playthroughs are out of the way, your main focus should now be on the many PP Trials and the many kills you need to get for the zombie kill achievements, and the most difficult PP Trial. You can grind anything kill related on Chapter 3, Start a new game for fun, or join a friend and work on them that way. Anything that you do in Co op carries over to single player and vise versa.

Kill Achievements

Chances are you only killed about 20,000-30,000 zombies on your first and second playthrough. You will want to go to Chapter 3 to grind out all of your many zombie kills (100,004 for Left 100,004 Dead and roughly 340,000 for Prestige Hound). You should have mechanic maxed out which will make your vehicles indestructible (see Playthrough One). Go to a garage and get yourself a Roller Hawg. Travel to the upper left part of the map and what you will see there is a perfect rectangle with no barriers. Drive around this rectangle running over all of the zombies and all remaining kill achievements should unlock after about four hours (though it obviously varies considerably depending on your previous time spent slaughtering the undead). Depending on your ability to do repetitive tasks, you can always switch things up by going on foot and using some awesome crowd-clearing weapons like the Ultimate Shout, Jazz Hands and Mega Man Blaster.

Conclusion

Dead Rising 3 is by no means a short game, but it’s fun and downright crazy. If you follow these steps you should be able to get the game completed without too much difficulty. The game is by no means difficult and it’s even easier in Co op.

*Only one achievement requires you to play with other people (Be a Dick), however achievements only unlock when connected to Xbox Live. Technically all 50 achievements are online. But you only need a second player for one of them.

Wrathful - 25:gsicon:

Defeat Zhi.

This crazy martial arts wanna-be is the first Psycho you will come across, and you'll get a notification that he's around very shortly after reaching Rhonda's Garage (Garden of Peace mission). I recommend either grabbing a bit of food or boosting your health once or twice to make life easier, and you'll also want a medium-long range weapon because he uses a spear which can make close melee combat a bit difficult. The best bet, and the method I used, is to grab the Dragon Punch plans in the nearby dojo and use the motorcycle engine + boxing gloves to craft them prior to starting the fight. Once the fight starts, rotate :xbut: and :ybut: to do a dashing punch and then a vertical spin punch when the dash draws you close enough to him. Continue using the :ybut: spin punch until he backs away, or keep rotating the two since the :xbut: dash attack has a pretty high chance of staggering him. Overall, he's not too complicated, since he's pretty much just a straight up melee fight (or shoot him a lot fight).

Looking back, there are actually a number of handguns and shotguns laying around, but it's really fun to punch him with spikey fists. Either way, be sure to pick up the key he drops, and the Guan Dao as well.

Starter - 10:gsicon:

Complete Chapter 0.

Once you reach Rhonda's garage, mosey around clearing out the surrounding area and doing side missions, including dealing with the first Psycho (Zhi), and eventually you'll be able to talk to Rhonda to progress the story. Talking to her will grant you the tactical handgun blueprint, and some other goodies.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWFiLrnkW20]Dead Rising 3 - Chapter 0 Biker Gang Fight - YouTube[/ame]

Quarantined - 10:gsicon:

Complete Chapter 1.

Very shortly after talking to Rhonda and finishing Chapter 0, you will take a turret rig to deal with the biker Psycho. Once he's dead, the achievement will pop (yes, the chapter is about 5 minutes long).

Morgue-ified - 10:gsicon:

Complete Chapter 2.

In this chapter you will find yourself fighting through a zombie filled sewer, into a zombie filled graveyard, and finally into a morgue full of even more zombies. You'll have a handful of side missions to do as well, but no Psycho this time around, but as night falls you'll have a ton of PP coming your way so you might as well make this Chapter last. The chapter will end once you drive the hearse to the Diamond Panty.

Greedy - 25:gsicon:

Defeat Albert.

During Chapter 3 you will be tasked with burning supplies in Almuda, where you will encounter Albert, the trippy boss that represents Greed. The entire fight is rather indirect, as you wander around the halls waiting for one of the hallucinations to get attacked by the real Albert, who will come up behind them and drug them, then use his saw on them. You must avoid hitting the wrong people, as fake Alberts do quite a bit of damage, and you will be doing none to the real Albert, thus you must wait until you either see the real Albert trying to drug and dismember someone, or wait until you hear the screams of his victims. Then you rush Albert and pummel him with your fists, or throw organ containers at him. Continue the process, occasionally shaking your control to avoid getting attacked by him, and you'll soon defeat him.

Note that there is a possibility that Albert will flip out (..further..) and the camera will show him yelling at you with the :bbut::ybut: prompt over his head. He will then start actively going after you, allowing you to spot him easier.

Gluttonous - 25:gsicon:

Defeat Darlene.

Near the end of Chapter 03 you'll get a side mission called All You Can Eat, which will send you back to Inglewood. Stock up on whatever weapons you want, bring some followers too, and head to the buffet for a relatively easy fight. Darlene will troll around the room on her scooter, trying to charge you and stab your with her fork primarily, and she will also go devour food to recover her health. While she is doing this, you will get a :ybut: :bbut: prompt to start whacking her, which will then make her spin around in circles for a few seconds, allowing you to unload on her with your best weapons. This process will continue about three times, depending on how much she manages to heal during her eating phase.

Family Man - 20:gsicon:

Complete Chapter 3.

This rather lengthy Chapter will come to an end after you get the ability to check to see if Red got fuel for the plane. Be sure to do the side quests, especially the Psycho stuff, prior to meeting up with Red at his base.

Be aware that when you go to the Central City Police Station for the story mission you will encounter a boss that can prove to be quite difficult, especially if you aren't prepared.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDXiH_lP08M]Dead Rising 3 - Heidi Psycho Fight - YouTube[/ame]

Lusty - 25:gsicon:

Defeat Dylan.

You'll get the mission for Dylan (Play Time) shortly after dealing with Darlene, and this time around you need to be alone, which means you'll have to lose your followers. If you're going straight to the mission, you can easily do this by just hopping on a motorcycle and riding off, and they'll be sent back to the safe house in a few seconds. The fight is very straight forward, and I would recommend 2-3 guns depending on your skill with ranged weapons and the amount of ammo they carry (I used an LMG and most of a Sgt's Pistol). Dylan will focus on damaging his two play pals with his fiery wiener, meaning you need to simply out damage him with whatever weapons you have - since he sort of fans his fire around, it's simply safer and easier to be at range, though melee is possible as well. He will launch fireballs at you from time to time that do rather minimal damage, so there isn't too much to worry about when this fight will only take about a minute to complete.

Happy Camper - 20:gsicon:

Complete Chapter 4.

Chapter 4 has you doing favors for Red and making multiple trips to the Central City PD if you bother with the side missions. You will also come across a few rather crazy people who are just short of becoming full-fledged Psychos themselves. The achievement will pop once you drive the car loaded with gas to the hangar.

Prideful - 25:gsicon:

Defeat Jherii.

Very soon after starting Chapter 5 you will get a call about the Look in the Mirror mission, where you will be introduced to the next Psycho, Jherii. She is a pretty powerful opponent, go figure, and she seems to be rather resistant to ranged weapons, but not ranged attacks from melee weapons, or of course melee attacks - though getting in close range can be pretty painful if she decides to swing her barbell. Staying just out of range of her and being sure to utilize :ls: to roll should keep you alive without much issue.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JR_PG6RzDLs]Dead Rising - Jherii Psycho Fight - Prideful Achievement - YouTube[/ame]

Slothful - 25:gsicon:

Defeat Theodore.

Once you reach Chapter 5 you'll have time to explore as usual and soon enough you'll be offered the mission "Remotely Helpful", which sends you off to the NE part of Sunset Hills to deal with the Mayor's son, and your next Psycho nemesis, Sloth. If you've been keeping up with your side quests you may know that he has the key to the Central City Police Department's armory, so between that and this achievement, killing him is pretty rewarding.

This fight is considerably different from other boss fights thus far because you never actually fight him, but instead you must destroy security power boxes throughout the house while dealing with his RC helicopter drones that will be following you around and shooting at you. I highly recommend bringing at least one follower with a gun (preferrably Assault Rifle), and they will deal with drones with their auto-aim while you run around the house blowing up the security system. Once the security system is down, head into the basement and the "fight" is over.

Day at the Museum - 20:gsicon:

Complete Chapter 5.

After saving Diego from the Museum you will be allowed to wander around until Rhonda works on the plane. During this time you will probably want to work on your next Psycho when the mission "Remotely Helpful" comes up. Other than that, it's a pretty straightforward Chapter as far as free-roaming and side missions go.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXs0opTaG7g]Dead Rising 3 - Diego Fight - YouTube[/ame]

The Doctor is Out - 30:gsicon:

Complete Chapter 6.

Chapter 6 can be very short if you're just doing the side missions and primary mission as you only do a small bit of bouncing around the map between missions before you're ready for the last story mission. Once you escape from the lab, the achievement will pop.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4XMkbRPPKc]Dead Rising 3 - Chapter 6 Lab Escape - YouTube[/ame]

Envious - 25:gsicon:

Defeat the envious survivor.

This will most likely be the first thing you do after entering the 7th Chapter. A certain student of sorts has decided it is time for the learner to replace the master, and he has kidnapped a woman to help prove it. He has quite a bit of hit points, but he is also rather easily stunned by melee attacks allowing multiple hit combos to quickly chip away at his health. You can also choose to combo a weapon during combat to distract him, but I didn't find it necessary with my follower there helping me out a bit. The achievement will pop no matter what you decide to do with him after the fight.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osTq0Ip_FKg]Dead Rising 3 - Kenny Psycho Fight - Envious Achievement - YouTube[/ame]

Nightmare Master - 75:gsicon:

Complete chapter 7 in Nightmare Mode.

While on Nightmare mode you need to complete the last chapter prior to the credits. Unlike the standard story mode, you will be timed, so you must focus more on completing story missions and getting the items most important for finishing the game.

You can either do Nightmare Mode first, or wait until you complete Story Mode and turn Nightmare Mode into basically a New Game +.

Note: You can also get this by joining a friends game if they are in Nightmare Mode Chapter 7 and completing it with them without doing the first 6 Chapters yourself.

Them’s the Facts - 30:gsicon:

Complete the Facts.

At the very end of Chapter 07 you will get to Juggs Karaoke club and encounter Gary. He will give you 2 choice: kill him, or go get Rhonda to meet up with him. You must go get Rhonda from her garage to appease Gary, so Gary will then tell Annie's father about her, and he will interrupt you at the very end of the game leading you into Overtime mode.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FestvgwR-Qk]Dead Rising 3 - The Facts - Them's The Facts Achievement - YouTube[/ame]

Complete the Package - 50:gsicon:

Complete Overtime.

After completing the game, there will be a post-credits sequence where you chase General Hemlock around the city and you must destroy his zombie-harvesting droids. As soon as the cutscene finishes, starting the min-battle with the General's helicopter plane thing, hop off the roof and grab a few assault rifles from the nearby gun shop if you don't already have some on you. You will have a follower for this round, however they will work more on keeping zombies off of you while you follow the red triangle on the map (the aircraft) and destroy the droid things that come out of it to pick up the King Zombies. Ignore the King Zombies entirely to ensure a lot of droids come out of the ship, and they ignore you anyway so know worries there. The ship will move from Ingleton, to Central City, to Almuda and finally to Sunset Hills, with two locations in each district excluding Almuda, which has only one.

Once you've destroyed the 60th droid, a cutscene will appear and the final boss battle will begin. For the fight against the General, your best bet is to stay on the platform with him, in medium range, so he isn't constantly kick/punching you or shooting grenades at you. Guns are the best bet for this as a result, and there are a couple scattered around the area. If you run out of ammo, resorting to a couple quick attacks before rolling out of combat will work as well.

Planner - 15:gsicon:

Collect 5 blueprints.

See "Master Builder"

Journeyman - 20:gsicon:

Collect 25 blueprints.

See "Master Builder".

Engineer - 25:gsicon:

Collect 50 blueprints.

See "Master Builder".

Master Builder - 30:gsicon:

Collect 100 blueprints.

There are over 100 blueprints in the game, however you will need all of the weapon blueprints for another achievement anyway, so this will come naturally. The blueprints can come naturally through story progression and by picking them up in the environment (they're marked on your map as blue cog-type icons). You do not need to use the blueprint to construct anything, simply have it in your blueprint inventory, which can be found in the menus.

Note: playing co-op can raise some problems with this achievement if your partner is in your game picking up some of your blueprints or you're in theirs picking up blueprints. The host will still get credit for the collection, but not toward the achievement. One way to fix this is to load up chapters via mission select and your counter should update more with each new mission (ex. load chapter 1, exit, load chapter 2, exit, etc.)

Sideswiped - 10:gsicon:

Complete 20 side missions.

See "Duct Tape Master".

Duct Tape Master - 20:gsicon:

Create every combo weapon.

You must find and use all 101 weapon blueprints found in the game, and since a vast majority of the blueprints come with the necessary materials located in the immediate vicinity of the blueprint, it's a good idea to craft the item as soon as you find the blueprint. Thankfully, this game makes catching up with item production a bit simpler for the more advanced weapons as you can use your weapon locker to get the necessary materials to craft the combo weapons while you're sitting safely in your base.

[spoiler=combo checklist]

All combo weapon blueprints, in the order they appear on the blueprints menu. Don't forget that if you happen to overlook one you can check through the combo weapons lists in your locker to see what isn't there, and then make that!

T.I.O.D. Disciple - 5:gsicon:

Create 50 combo weapons.

You will probably get this through natural play, but otherwise you will definitely get this through the process involved in getting "Duct Tape Master".

Collector - 5:gsicon:

Pick up 250 different weapons.

Pick up EVERYTHING.. you don't need to keep it, simply just pick it up and drop it again. My 250th item was a hair dryer, so anything goes with this one.

Fashion Plate - 5:gsicon:

Collect 100 different clothing items.

Loot every piece of clothing you come across in the game, from shoes, to hats, to funny costumes. There are tons of clothing stores scattered throughout Los Perdidos, and your job is to simply tap :bbut: near them to equip them. Once you have it on and the item has been saved to your safe house clothes closet (which you can use as an in-game tracker), you can tap :bbut: again in the same spot to put on whatever you were wearing before.

Local Hero - 5:gsicon:

Save 1 survivor.

Taylor should be your first survivor and you will encounter him shortly after leaving the diner and getting into the truck at the beginning of the game. You'll go under an overpass and an explosion on your right will blow open a path through a fence. Taylor's survivor icon will immediately appear just beyond the fence. Park the car, or use it to ram zombies, and completely clear the area, for Taylor to say thanks and run off. The achievement will pop once that happens. You'll get another chance about 100 yards down the road when you encounter Jodie, a woman stuck on the back of a semi truck trailer. Clear the area here as well if you somehow failed saving Taylor to get the achievement here (saving survivors is good PP, which is used for leveling, so I recommend saving everybody you come across).

Man of the People - 10:gsicon:

Save 15 stranded survivors.

As you cruise around the game you will spot survivors fighting off huge groups of zombies and you will be prompted to help them out by clearing out the zombies. They will usually appear directly in front of you, and a running-man icon with the range to their location and the survivor name will also pop up on the screen to tell you where they are. You will need to find and save at least 15 of these people for the achievement to pop. Most of the survivors are alone, however there are at least 2 three-person groups that spawn on the freeway in the very middle of the map through the duration of the game. There are far more than 15 survivors that appear, however you might as well free every one you come across if you have the few seconds to clear the area and get yourself some easy PP to level up.

Help Wanted - 10:gsicon:

Add 5 survivors the survivor bulletin board.

As you progress through the game you will be tasked with completing side quests that will sometimes give you the option to add survivors to your survivor board to get them as followers. While looking at the side mission menu on the map screen, look to the right of the mission title to see if it has the survivor/running man icon, which means you can get one or more of the people involved in the mission as a follower. While doing these missions, make sure you pay attention because you can still complete the mission without talking to the person long enough to get them to follow you around. You are most likely to overlook survivors that are tied up or trap, which most likely occurs during the Psycho side missions, but keep your eyes open either way.

Note that this only seems to work for the host in a co-op game.

Gang Banger - 5:gsicon:

Lead a full posse of 5 survivors.

In order to do this you will a) need at least 5 survivors on the survivors board, and b) need to have upgraded the first three tiers of Mechanic and Smarts for the +2 Maximum Posse Size, which they both give you (1+2+2=5). Once you have that, you can either roll through the game trying to keep your survivors alive, or wait until you have at least 5 available to follow you and pick them up at a board all at once. You'll probably want to invest in maximum life as well so your followers don't die so easily (if they die, they stay dead unless you have this ability).

Driven - 5:gsicon:

Drive 20 different vehicles.

In the same fashion as weapons, you will want to hop into every vehicle you come across to get it sent to your garage for future use, or for combos. Vehicles include everything from taxis, to vans and suvs, to muscle cars and motorcycles to generic sedans.. of course there's a street sweeper and fireworks van too!

See "Master Mechanic" for the combo vehicle list

Zombie Killer - 5:gsicon:

Kill 100 zombies.

Left 100,004 Dead - 30:gsicon:

Kill 100,004 zombies

This can be considerably easier than the kill achievements in the previous games as you have access to some pretty extreme vehicles, such as the Rollerhawg. The frustrating part comes with getting around as the game progresses due to the ever-increasing number of roadblocks, however cruising around Ingleton, which is probably the fastest and simplest place to farm, is still reasonably easy (just watch for randomly spawning propane tanks and gas cans. You will also want to maximize the mechanic skill for invulnerable vehicles (that can still flow over and then blow up, or blow up if you get off of them).

Maxed! - 50:gsicon:

Reach level 50.

Due to the insane quality of the upper-tier combo weapons, leveling in this game can be incredibly easy once you unlock them, and the more powerful combo vehicles. The most important rule, when leveling, is to combo. Massive combos are more easily attainable by the super combo weapons (which is why they're awesome), and increasing their durability through books and skills can allow you to carry combos for longer periods of time. To capitalize on your combos you should also use special execution moves to get a boosted score for a single kill. Your list of execution can be found in the player menu of the game, with the initial one being the basic or weapon specific :bbut: :ybut: execution. All of the executions can be conducted when the :bbut::ybut: prompt pops up on the left side of the screen, next to the combo, and they should be used on the tougher enemies to make sure they don't get in your way during the combo, and also because they give the most PP and will utilize the current multiplier the best (these include King Zombies, Prisoner Zombies, Football Zombies, etc.). When going on PP gaining runs, try to keep as many combo weapons on you as possible (use the list below for the best weapons and locations, rated by their power level).

Note: The locations aren't static, meaning if you were to say pickup the blueprint listed for Ultimate Mecha Dragon before any of the other Mecha Dragon blueprints, you will get the Dragon Blade blueprint first. You would need to collect the other three Mecha blueprints in any order to find the Ultimate Mecha Dragon as the last one.

-Dragon Blade - House NW corner of map

--Flame Mecha Dragon - In tunnel near flame trial in South Ingleton

--Mecha Dragon Blade - On top of shack in alley NE of Rhonda's Garage

---Ultimate Mecha Dragon - Roof across from garage. Enter rear of Northern building through back alley.

-Reaper - Alley West of garage

--Fire Reaper - In parking lot/courtyard of apartment building NE of Rhonda's Garage

--Death Mask Reaper - Melee weapon shop North of garage

---Ultimate Grim Reaper - On top of building next to small park in Ingleton

-Electric Staff - Back alley in SW Almuda

--Electrofire Staff - Fire station in N Almuda

--Electroice Staff - Roof of Almuda Farms, across from bus depot

---Elemental Staff - On top of power grid area in Almuda

-Power Shout - Roof next to Almuda garage

--Electric Shout - Roof of building across from Fire Station in N Almuda

--Super Shout - Roof of Almuda auto body shop that has a trial and tragic end on it

---Ultimate Shout - Dumpster next to construction site in Almuda

Specialist - 50:gsicon:

Max out a single attribute.

In order to max out a single attribute, you must put as many points in it as possible and then reach level 50 to unlock the final tier, which you must also max out. Don't worry too much about attribute distribution as you will be able to max out all of your skills eventually.

Be a Dick! - 5:gsicon:

Join a Co-op game.

In Dead Rising 3, you have the ability to join another player's game, whether it's your friend's or someone else's. Jumping in and out is as simple as pressing a button, and both players are able to free roam before and after the co-op stuff happens.

Note that co-op has been known to cause issues with people collecting blueprints for the achievements by not properly giving credit to the player.

Customizer - 5:gsicon:

Create 5 combo vehicles.

See "Master Mechanic".

Master Mechanic - 10:gsicon:

Create every combo vehicle.

There are a total of 11 combo vehicles, many of which are unlocked via the story, one from skills (Mobile Locker) and the remaining are found in the open world alongside the weapon blueprints. For whatever reason this unlocks after creating 10 out of the apparent 11 combo vehicles.

Mobile Locker - Van + Van

Junk Car - Sedan + Muscle Car, Sedan + Sedan, Sedan + Forklift

Turret Rig - Steamroller + Sedan

Mini Bike - Motorcycle + Sports Bike, Motorcycle + Forklift

Forkwork - Forklift + Fireworks Van

Rollerhawg - Motorcycle + Steamroller

Junk Truck - Van + SUV

Party Slapper - Street Cleaner + Party Van

Junk Bike - Motorcycle + Sedan, Motorcycle + Van

Shockdozer - Backhoe Loader + Ambulance, Steamroller + Van

A Little Ambition - 5:gsicon:

Purchase 1 Attribute.

See "Ladder Climber".

Ladder Climber - 10:gsicon:

Purchase 10 Attributes.

Once you reach Rhonda's garage, you will be able to use attribute points gained by leveling up to purchase attributes in the player section of the :back: menus. Upgrading attributes can increase stats such as damage dealt, and the size of your health pool, and also allow you to be more lenient when combining items for combo weapons, allowing you to use any type of a certain item when crafting the combo weapons.

PP trials are challenge-type tasks that keep track of how many locations you've visited or enemies you've killed, depending on the trial. Some of them are unlocked right off the bat, while others unlock as you reach a certain point in the story or obtain the necessary weapon or vehicle. You will occasionally get progress pop-ups on screen as you complete the trials, and the trials themselves can be found under the "player" portion of the menus. There are generally far too many trials to complete in a single playthrough without extra effort, luckily they carry over between playthroughs, and Chapter select, allowing you to complete them at your leisure post-game along with your other achievements.

Check out my PP Trials list in posts 7 and 8 of my achievement guide (or scroll down if you're already here!) for tips on how to tackle the trickier ones.

Looking at your in-game map, you will notice hollowed out star icons. These star icons signify training challenges that you can complete for massive PP bonuses, making these important for both leveling progress and for the achievements. All of the challenges task you with killing a certain number of enemies with a certain type of weapon or vehicle, such as fire or electric weapons, combo weapons only, or unarmed only within one minute. Many of the challenges can be completed using the Rollerhawg to quickly roll around the nearby area killing enemies, and the more difficult unarmed ones can be completed using the unarmed bonus damage book and the :abut: :ybut: knee drop combo.

Some quick notes: fire weapons can include the Rollerhawg, Flame Mecha Dragon, Flame Arrows, etc. and does not include explosives. Electric weapons can include the Elecrtic staff, Rolling Thunder, and shockdozer.

Also note that you can go anywhere during the challenge, and you're not confined to a particular area, however you will want to plan out where you go prior to starting the challenge to maximize your kill efficiency.

PP Trials!!!

ALL descriptions assume you have max stats for comboing that item. Items can be forcefully respawned by leaving that section of the map briefly (ie go from Ingleton to the highway in the middle of the map and back to respawn items in Ingleton)

Note: Ingleton is NW part of the map, Sunset Hills is NE, Almuda is SW, Central City is SE

Another Note: PP Weapon kill trials reset when you start a new game, so if you're say, at 197 kills out of 200 with the Laser Sword, be sure to finish up the last 3 before completing your game.

Tip: Use Repulse food (Rations + Rations, Rations + Liquor) to get zombies to leave you alone, or block off entrances to buildings with a vehicle so you can combo in peace.

Boom Boom Boom - Create IED 50 times (Explosives + Explosives)

You can get this naturally by stopping off at one of the four gas stations while you progress through the game, or you can camp out in the fireworks factory on the West side of Almuda. (SW corner of the map)

Balls of Junk - Create the Junk Ball 50 times (Junk + Junk)

Head to Southern Almuda, near the construction site, and pick up the concrete blocks that are sitting on a palette. Take them to the nearby flatbed truck that has a bunch of blue trash cans on it and pick up one trashcan and combo it with one of your concrete blocks. There are also a lot of other scrap items laying around the construction site, so you will get a lot of this done at the same time. Also pairs well with the Beerhat trial.

Hot Headed - Create the Flaming Helmet 50 times (Chemicals + Helmet)

Head to Sunset Hills, near the High School in SW corner of the town. From there, head North up the street and enter the first building on your left (just before the motorcycle shop) to find a box of cleaning products. Max out your inventory and continue North up the street to the toy store on your right that has about a half dozen helmets and buckets in and around the store. There are also buckets and other helmets between the chemicals location and the store, putting you close to 10 helmets a run.

So Much Easier Than Throwing - Create the Boom Cannon 50 times (Explosives + Gun)

In Ingleton, start at Rhonda's garage and head East on the street directly in front of it until you see the gun shop on your left. There is a box of grenades in there, as well as some flash grenades under the counter, and two racks of guns. If you run out of grenades, there are a number of propane tanks near the gas station across the street.

Toy That Creeps Me Out! - Create the Jack in the Box 50 times(Box + Toy)

Same area as Hot Headed, SW Sunset Hills, head North up the street to the toy store on your right and use all the kiddy toys and boxes in the building, then continue up the street a bit farther to the next toy store. You may run out of boxes in the second store, so stock up on Marbles and roam the area, or reset the items in Sunset Hills.

Make It Flame Grilled - Create the Flaming Sword 50 times (Blade + Chemicals)

Although I did this in the same area as Hot Headed, using the locker to get blades, I would recommend doing this in Ingleton as Rhonda's garage has a box of motor oil near the garage door, and up the street (next to the boxing gym) is a store full of blades.

Jazz Hands!!! - Create the Jazz Hands 50 times(Gun + Gloves)

Ingleton - Head to the gun shop that is East of Rhonda's garage and pickup a max inventory of guns, then head straight North of the garage to find a boxing gym where you can gather 7-8 gloves between the boxing ring room and the locker room.

Ryu Would Be Proud - Create the Dragon Punch 50 times (Machinery + Gloves)

Same as above in terms of finding the gloves (the gym in Ingleton), and you can find machinery in the hardware store West of Rhonda's garage. If you're going to Sunset Hills for any reason, you can stock up on a bigger supply of machinery at the shop in the NE part of that area.

Raindrops Keep Melting My Head - Create Acid Rain 50 times (Chemicals + Gun)

Use the maintenance area between the motorcycle store and the High School in Sunset Hills to stock up on chemicals. There are also a few flare guns in here that you can use for some Acid Rains, and then you can either buy more guns from the locker, or make a trip to the gun store in Ingleton.

Last Words - Discover the tragic deaths of Los Perdidos' citizens

You must find all of the tragic ending scenes in Los Perdidos, and luckily they will be marked on your map when you are close. Most of them are high up on roofs, or in hidden parts of buildings. Note that you will need to get the Central City PD Armory key from Theodore to find the trickiest ending in the game (in the armory).

Slippery Customer - Escape out of 50 zombie grabs

Shake the controller when you get grabbed by a zombie

Getting Warmed Up - Kill 5,000 Zombies

Still More To Kill - Kill 10,000 zombies

Going Pro - Kill 53,594 zombies

Joining the Big Leagues - Kill 72,000 zombies

Scroll down to Damn You Are One Bad-Ass.. not sure why it's not next on the list

Drop Dead! - Kill 100 enemies with the Body Slam

As your kill combo increases you'll get the option to use an execute skill by pressing :ybut::bbut:. This will initiate a Body Slam if you are unarmed, or using one of the weapons that allows for unarmed executions (such as the Mecha Dragon).

My Tummy Hurts - Use Disembowel skill move on 100 zombies

Leveling your melee skill unlocks new unarmed executions such as this. It can be conducted by pulling down on the :ls: as soon as you start the execution.

A Head of the Game - Use the Head Job skill move on 100 zombies

As you start an execution, move the :ls: to the left to rip off the zombie's head

Burn Ward - Kill 3,600 zombies with fire

This includes molotovs, Mecha Flame Dragon, the flamethrower, and most importantly; the RollerHawg.

Pretty Dizzy Now.. Might Puke - Kill 200 zombies while spinning around with the Hammer Spin skill move

While executing a zombie, move the :ls: right to spin the zombie. Any zombies killed by the spinning zombie will add to the counter

Dash for the Dead - Kill 100 zombies with the should charge

While at full sprint, tap :xbut: to ram into the zombie with your shoulder. This won't always kill zombies, and will require some added unarmed damage bonuses, but the zombies in Ingleton are the weakest in the game

You Knee'd Me - Kill 50 enemies with a Knee Drop attack

Jump with :abut: and then tap :ybut: to slam your knee into the ground, and any zombies in the way

Sacked! - Kill 20 football zombies with the Shoulder Charge

Football zombies can only be shoulder charged to death effectively if you hit them in the back or the sides and SOMETIMES if you hit them while they're charging you. They become increasingly common in Sunset Hills as the game progresses, but can always be found in the Sunset Hills High School. Using a Repulse will be helpful to get behind them.

Damn You Are One Bad-Ass - Kill 200,000 Zombies

These kill trials ARE NOT CUMULATIVE with each new one you unlock, the counter resets. Thus far you will have killed 140,000 zombies or so, and you must now kill an additional 200,000. Have fun! Scroll up for my video on Rollerhawging all the kills (Left 100,004 Dead achievement).

BYOZB - Kill 666 zombies with fire

See Burn Ward (scroll up)

Hot Damned - Kill 999 zombies with fire

See Burn Ward (Scroll up)

Kept on Swinging - Kill 200 zombies with the Defiler (Mace + Axe)

Moving Over to a Dark Place - Kill 200 zombies with the Laser Sword (Thrown + Electronics)

Heating Up - Kill 200 zombies with the Flaming Gloves (Chemicals + Gloves)

In The Dead-Zone - Kill 300 zombies with the Hail Mary (Thrown + Explosives)

A Vibrating Memoriam - Kill 100 zombies with the Super Massager (Toy + Machinery)

This should only be a one-shot kill on most enemies

That a Boy, Jimmy! - Kill 200 zombies with the Roaring Thunder's Heavy Attack (Helmet + Electronics)

Use Blanka Masks :ybut: to kill 200 enemies

Very Axe-citing - Kill 300 zombies with the Boomer Axe (Thrown +Axe)

Use the melee prior to using the ranged part of the weapon

Unleash the Chopper - Kill 200 zombies with the Chopper (Axe + Axe)

These Bullets Are Sharp - Kill 200 zombies with the Sabre Shot (Blade + Gun)

Use the melee prior to using the ranged part of the weapon

Death Metal - Kill 200 zombies with heavy metal (Mace + Mace)

TLC - Kill 100 zombies with the Tenderizers (Gloves + Mace)

Enjoy That Smell in the Morning - Kill 200 zombies with the Napalm Bomb (Explosives + Chemicals)

Greased Lightning - Visit 4 different Combo Garages

There is one combo garage in each city, and they just happened to be labeled with a big green garage icon!

In Between The Numbers - Kill zombies by throwing the Metal Mary (Thrown +Blade or Mace)

Use this primarily as a melee weapon, it kinda sucks when it's thrown

Bomb-Bear Countdown - Kill 200 zombies with the bomb toy (Explosives + Toy)

Can also be meleed with quite effectively, although it DOES blow up when you throw it, unlike some weapons (Metal Mary!)

Corroding Corpses - Kill 200 zombies with Acid Jars (Chemicals + Chemicals)

There is a great maintenance type area just North of the Sunset Hills High School, and before the Motorcycle shop, that has a box full of chemicals. That should put you very close to maxing this out in one box full if you aim well.

DIY Gun Club - Kill 500 zombies with Split Shot (Mace + Gun)

This gun is a beast, so no worries

Go Rake the Guts - Kill 200 zombies with the Zombie Raker (Blade + Polearm)

This weapon sucks

Drinking to Create - Create the Beer Hat 50 Times (Helmet + Junk)

The construction area in Almuda is amaaazing for this. There are tons of cones and hard hats to use for the hat part, and actual kegs, concrete blocks, trash cans, tires, etc. that you can use for the junk part.

Puke on You - Create Pukes O Hazard 50 times (Chemicals + Mace)

Again, my chemical stash in SW Sunset Hills is good for this. It can have 1 or 2 pipes in it for a couple easy combos, and the Safehouse is very close to buy more maces

Dead Body Mass - Use the Zombie Toss Skill Move on 50 zombies

This execute move is done by move the :ls: up after pressing :ybut::bbut: to execute an enemy.

Big Bad Machine of Death - Kill 1,000 zombies with the Turret Rig

This is the first combo vehicle you get, and it's capable of blowing up zombies with :lbbut: or :xbut: and cutting them with :ybut:

Apocalypti-car - Kill 1,000 zombies with the Junk Truck

Again, use the :xbut: for its primary weapons DO NOT press :ybut: as it's a self-destruct

This is How I Roll - Kill 1,000 Zombies with the Rollerhawg

It could be 100,000 zombies and still be easy. Tap :xbut: to light them on fire, or just run them over...or both! This can be comboed all over the place, including West of Rhonda's Garage, NE part of Ingleton, NW part of Sunset Hills, on highway near Sunset/Central City in both directions, etc.

They Weren't Invited to the Party - Kill 1,000 zombies with the Party Slapper

This thing is kinda like a hovercraft, except hovercrafts don't usually suck. This can be comboed next to the garage in Sunset Hills.

Everbody Loves Fireworks - Kill 1,000 zombies with the Forkwork

Actually pretty powerful, but not in the top three or so. This can be comboed on the West, South, and East sides of Almuda.

Too Much Machine for Ya - Kill 1,000 zombies with the Shockdozer

Slow but super sweet. This can be comboed in SE Central City, by the hospital, if you don't have enough points to get it from a garage.

Pressure Cooker - Create 50 combo foods

Food can be comboed just like weapons and vehicles, although the counter for this does not always work properly. If you're having trouble, combo a ton of food in quick succession and you should get credit for at least half of it.

Well Done - Kill 5 zombies simultaneously 50 times with Dynameat (Junk + Explosives)

I did this over time as there is always a zombie meat item and a stick of dynamite on a table in the hangar where the plane is parked for the duration of the story.

Bye Bye Brainwashers - Stop Anti-Infected propaganda by destroying all the ZDC Speakers

These are scattered all over the city, and are high up on walls, barriers, or poles. Some of the harder to find ones are on the Northernmost bridge, or the middle of the central bridge. They are shown with speaker icons on the map.

Hero Worship - Scour Los Perdidos to collect the commemorative Limited Edition Frank Statues

The statues glow gold and appear as gold icons on the map. Many are often just out of your primary path through the game, while some require you to do the Psycho side bosses to get their key to access the area with the statue (such as the case with Zhi and Dylan).

Full Service - Visit different gas stations

There is one in each district, East side of Ingleton, SE corner of Sunset Hills, East side of Central City and S/SW corner of Almuda. They are all the same perfectly square shaped building on the map. You must enter the building for it to count

Tastes Better Coming Up - Vomit 21 times

The best (or worst?) ways to vomit are to eat spoiled food and to make randomizers by combining improper food combinations and eating that. Both will force you to vomit.

Grave Robber - Smash 100 gravestones

You will pass through the graveyard in Eastern Ingleston during a story mission and you can do it then, or later. Just grab a car and drive away.

Dine and Dash - visit each of the different restaurants

You must visit (enter) each of the 10 restaurants in this game. This includes, fancy ones, fast food (Fiefdom), casual, etc. My last one was the sushi place in NW Sunset Hills, so don't forget that one.

Online: N/A

Approximate Time to 90:gsicon: : 2 Hours

Minimum Number of Playthroughs: 1

Missable Achievements: Yes - Live to Fight Again (There is no free roam for collectibles after saving the President, however your collectibles carry over to a NG)

Does Difficulty Affect Achievements?: No

Unobtainable/Glitched Achievements?: No

Extra Equipment Needed?: Internet Connection

Collectibles: Yes

Introduction

Operation Broken Eagle is the first part of four DLC’s telling the story of the apocalypse from the point of view of other Citizens. This episode is from the POV of Adam Kane, a soldier. There are 9 achievements in this DLC for 90:gsicon:. 5 of them are story related while the other 4 involve completing side missions, collectibles, and squad members..

Walkthrough

Go to Untold Stories from the main menu. Select Episode 1 and play on Normal. The higher the level you are the easier the DLC will be. But being max level isn’t necessary. This guide is written as if you have all blueprints (this applies to just crafting).

Collectibles can be gathered at any time prior to finishing the DLC and appear on the map. There are 29 ZDC Cameras, 8 Safe Zones, 2 Living Squad Members, and 12 Side Missions. Side missions should be prioritized.

As soon as you have control of the character, walk forward and pick up the rations, gun, and bowie knife. Combined the gun and your knife to make a Sabre Shot. Proceed forward and to the right towards your objective. Kill any zombies that stand in your way. There is a sledgehammer on the right side and other weapons you can pick up, but they won’t be necessary for the most part. When you are about 200 meters away you will get an optional objective to Locate Smith. He will be along the path you are headed. Here you are introduced to Dog Tags. Walk over to the body and press B. This is one of the collectibles that is introduced with this DLC. Walk forward until you enter the metro. Go to the left and kill any zombies in your way. Turn to the right then up the stairs to your left. Follow the path and turn left at the next step of stairs. Follow the path and you will have to fight a few armed men. They are weak enemies and the Sabre Shot is your friend.

The yellow circles with a smaller dot in the middle are ZDC cameras. You need to walk up to them and press B to hack them. The first one is directly behind where you were fighting (1/29). From here on out, all collectibles will be self explanatory unless stated otherwise (eg walk up to them). While traveling to the objective, a side mission to find Hancock will appear in the North Western part of Sunset Hills. All side missions are timed. So it is good to prioritize them, especially if you are a large distance away. A side mission to Locate Brady will pop up when you get close to your objective. Upon reaching the helicopter you will have another side mission pop up to Locate Chang. His Dog Tag will be on a pile of rubble by the helicopter. Now enter the helicopter and pick up the Flight Data Recorder. Now destroy the four white containers in and behind the crashed helicopter. One of them will drop a Larvae Container. Now head over to the motel and infect it. Achievement Unlocked: You are now able to infect Safe Zones. There are 8 in total (7 remaining) and they are marked on the map with yellow circle with a black cross inside. A fourth side mission will pop up to Locate Han. Do this before you go to the Ingleton Taxi Company. Now by the Garage in the South West part of Ingleton there will be a friendly soldier, Sunshine, standing on a bus by a car dealership shooting. Climb up and a bit of dialogue will commence and you have a new ally (½). Then travel to the Taxi Company area and close the gate. Continue to follow the prompts and kill all of the enemies, utilizing explosives in the environment to your advantage. Now travel to the roof as instructed. The building on the left of where you entered will have a stairway you can use. Now grab a flare gun and shoot it off. Achievement Unlocked: Cleaning House.

Now travel to the next objective. Do not let Sunshine into the car that you take; drive off without him instead and he will teleport to a safehouse and be out of your hair. While you travel to the next objective a Side Mission will pop up to Locate Dickson. When you reach your objective there will be a blueprint in the back of a military truck. Pick that up, craft it (auto shotgun and chainsaw found next to it), then get into the Armadillo/your objective. Now travel back to the camp without destroying it. Along your travels, after rerouting to get around the roadblock you will find a soldier named The Dutch in South Almuda. Go ahead and rescue him (2/2). He will be on the left inside a Deli. Achievement Unlocked: Lived to Fight Again. You can either keep him as an Ally or drive off and have him return to the safe zone. Now when you are getting close to your objective you will have a Side Mission pop up to Locate Tucson. Depending on the health of the Armadillo you can do that now or after you return it. Achievement Unlocked: Delivery Man.

Your next objective is to Investigate the Stage. Taking the freeway, when reaching the off-ramp you will have a two new Side Missions to Locate Wakowski and Locate Haverman. Find both of them before continuing the story. Then go to the waypoint and kill off the President’s Forces. Pick up the GPS Tracker on the stage. Achievement Unlocked: Eagles has Landed. You will then get a side mission to Locate Rodriguez.

At this time you should go and get all of the remaining collectibles, save houses, and one more Side Mission. To get the Locate Jefferson side mission to pop up if it hasn’t already, travel to the south part of South Almuda. Achievement Unlocked: Rest in Peace.

[Now would be an ideal time to clean up any missing achievements you have (collectibles) as the DLC will end once you meet the President. Collectibles carry over to a New Game in the DLC, but doing them now is far easier]

Now go Track the President. You will get another Side Mission to Locate Collins. After you find him proceed up the mansion, fighting off the President’s forces. A combo firearm is ideal here. Go to the front door and you will see it’s locked. Then travel around to the back. When you kill the final enemy, he will drop the Mansion Room Key.Pick it up and open the door. Enjoy the cutscene and Achievement Unlocked: Duty or Death.

Conclusion

You should now have all nine achievements. If you missed anything you will have to play the first part of the DLC again to have access to everything as there is no chapter select.

Achievements:

Eyes in the sky - 10:gsicon:

Hack all ZDC Cameras

There are a total of 29 cameras to hack, and are identical to the cameras in the main campaign, however this time around you will need to walk up to the base of the camera tower and tap :bbut: to hack the camera. You will come across all of them on your map (yellow circle) as you move through the game, just be aware that they only appear on the map when you are relatively close to them.

Counterterrorist -10:gsicon:

Infect all Safe Zones

After the first mission you will learn to "cleanse" terrorist safehouse, the same safehouses nick uses in the story. There are 8 total, in the same spots as the main campaign, and you need to walk up to an exterior vent and tap :bbut: to use the larvae bioweapon you picked up from the helicopter crash site, turning the safe house icon from green to red. Enjoy the screams of pain and terror from within the safehouses once you use the bioweapon!

Live to fight again-10:gsicon:

Recover all Squad Members

Squad Members are basically the special forces version of the survivors that Nick finds in the main story, with both of the two survivors in this DLC being members of Kane's team that survived the helicopter crash and subsequent zombie attack. Your first ally (sunshine) can be found on the prison bus in Ingleton (in front of Rhonda's garage). Ally number 2 (The Dutch) is in a meat shop in the southern part of central city.

Rest in Peace - 10:gsicon:

Collect all Dog Tags

Dog tags appear on fallen comrades that you will encounter in side missions, through exploration, and the main story. Obviously, be sure to loot their dog tag prior to leaving the area after finding them or killing them.

1 near the entrance to the subway at the beginning of the game

2 first side mission in sunset hills

3 west end of the northernmost bridge

4 helicopter pilot/part of story

5 in back of the strip club in South Almuda

6 southern gas station in South Almuda (near Charlie's supplies)

7 small Chinese park area just off the highway in Southern Ingleton (appeared while driving the APC in the story)

8 outside yoga studio in Southern Sunset Hills

9 in the street in the southeast corner of Central City

10 the rodeo drive type area in western Central City

11 on the southernmost bridge between Almuda and Central City.

Covering the traces - 10:gsicon:

Collect Precious Cargo

Once you reach the helicopter, pick up the larvae container that is on the ground just outside the backside of the helicopter. This will initiate the safe house infecting tutorial.

Cleaning house - 10:gsicon:

Prep Base Camp for Bravo Team

Clear out the taxi company area in Western Ingleton of all zombies. Be sure to close the main gate before you start killing zombies to keep stragglers from adding to the body count. The area will be divided into four yellow circles that will disappear as you clear out each sector of the camp.

Delivery Man 10

Collect Charlie's supplies

Story Related. Can not be missed.

Eagle Has Landed - 10:gsicon:

Locate the President

Head to Central City and clear out the stage near the museum, and then loot the GPS tracker from the secret service agent corpse on stage.

After leaving Central City make your way to the Mayor's mansion in NE Sunset Hills. Clear out all of the enemy soldiers as you fight to the back yard to get inside the mansion, then move upstairs to get the key to the presidents room off of a secret service agent near the door. Once you secure the president the DLC will end.

Note: Be sure to complete all other achievements (except Duty or Death, obviously) prior to talking to the President and ending the DLC.

Introduction

Go to Untold Stories from the main menu. Select Episode 2 and play on Normal. The higher the level you are the easier the DLC will be. But being max level isn’t necessary. This guide is written as if you have all blueprints (this applies to just crafting). Five of the achievements are story related.

Four of the achievements are collectible related. Collectibles can be gathered at any time prior to finishing the DLC and appear on the map. There are 24 survivors in 8 groups of 3 (See Guardian Angel for more information), 29 ZDC Cameras, 25 Medical Supplies, and 40 Propaganda Posters that must be handled before completing the DLC.

Walkthrough

You start off in in the back of the Sunset High School as an Illegal named Angel. You’re first mission is to investigate the yacht. Take this opportunity to look at your map. You will see two different types of yellow circles. One with a cross (ZDC Posters) and one that’s just a circle (Med Packs). All of them appear on the map so as soon as you see fit it is advised to collect as many of them as possible (if not all of them), you will however need some sort of pyro weapon to burn all propaganda posters. There is no chapter select so if you do not collect them all before the DLC ends you’ll have to play through it again.

Now before hopping over the fence, you should grab some of the spiked maces found in the red container to the left. You will notice Doug shooting at zombies when you hop the fence. Don’t worry about him, he is helping you can does not count towards any collectibles. Now either hop on the sports bike on the other side of the field or find another mode of transportation and head to the yacht. Fight your way through the yacht and pick up the medical supplies. Next make your way to South Almuda. On your right side you will see a blueprint for the Shock Blaster and the supplies you need to make it nearby (Defib and Assault Rifle). This can be used to burn the propaganda posters with one shot.

As soon as you get to the end of the freeway you will have Four Side Quests come up instructing you to destroy 7 or 8 cameras per city district. These are not timed. While exploring South Almuda you will get a pop up saying Vernon, Katerina, and Nora have died. These survivors do NOT count for the achievement. When you search the safe zone you will have to look for clues. Use the weapons locker first. You should take one or two Flamethrowers and only use this for the Propaganda Posters. Next, Inspect the bodies. You will be prompted to chase after Winnie after inspecting the right bodies. Talk to Winnie. Achievement Unlocked: Talk it Out

Next head back to the school. While in the river area you will have a side quest to “Prevent the Execution.” This is your first group of survivors. Simply kill the guards without any survivors dying; firearms make this easier. Kill the one guard then untie the survivors (⅛). Now depending on your path you will encounter 7 more of these side quests. Now follow the waypoints through a roundabout path to the school and fight your way through to the objective. Achievement Unlocked: Hall Monitor

From this point on just follow the objectives and get all collectibles. It would be arbitrary to spell out each part of the remainder of the DLC as all achievements from this point on can be unlocked with ease. Right now is the ideal time to get them all in Sunset Hills however.

After meeting up with Doug you will be instructed to go to Ingleton. Get all collectibles in the area and any others that you may have missed in South Almuda. Upon reaching the Feastmobile you will have to get 3 weapon caches. The feast mobile has health but it will not blow up if you have the vehicle invincibility perk. Upon returning it to Doug you will get an achievement. Achievement Unlocked: Well Stocked. Next you will have to Meet Doug at the trap location.

THIS IS THE POINT OF NO RETURN! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL ACHIEVEMENTS EXCEPT SHAKEDOWN AND ANGEL GETS HER WINGS!

Make sure you have all other achievements before doing this! Achievement Unlocked: Shakedown. The final part of the DLC is to Investigate the Lab. Simply shoot any enemies that are in your way. Achievement Unlocked: Angel Gets Her Wings

Additional Info

A couple missions through the DLC, South Almuda will appear to be blocked off. You can however get through by going under the highway and on the right side there is an opening large enough to fit a motorcycle through. This is the only way back into that part of the map after it gets blocked off.

Conclusion

You should now have all nine achievements. If you missed anything you will have to play the first part of the DLC again to have access to everything as there is no chapter select.

No Peaking! 10:gsicon:

Destroy all ZDC Cameras

There are 29 total cameras around the map. 8 in South Almuda. 7 in Sunset Hills. 7 in Ingleton. 7 in Central City. About 20 minutes into the DLC after you are instructed to reach South Almuda, 4 side quests will pop up instructing you to destroy cameras. They only take one bullet to destroy provided the reticle is red.

Burn Baby Burn 10:gsicon:

Burn all Propaganda Posters

There are a total of 40 Propaganda Posters marked on the map. They are marked with a yellow cross in a circle and must be burned. Early on you may have a hard time finding a pyro weapon but either use a RollerHawg or some sort of fire gun and that should handle them.

Guardian Angel 10:gsicon:

Rescue all Survivors

There are 8 groups of survivors. You must get Mission Accomplished in order for it to count. This means that of the 3, only one must be untied and survive. If someone dies when they are untied or dies before they are untied, it doesn’t matter. So long as you get the Mission Accomplished pop up.

Here is a map of all survivor locations. They will only start to spawn after you find the first group in the river bed (it can't be missed). Thanks to Insane Monkey for the map!

Med Tech 10:gsicon:

Collect all Medical Supplies

There are 25 red medkits around the map. They all appear on the city map that you access by hitting back.

Most of the locations are obvious, however a few are on roofs of buildings.

Take It Out 10:gsicon:

Question Winnie

Story Related. You will have to head to South Almuda and chase her down.

Hall Monitor 10:gsicon:

Story Related. You will have to fight off Spec Ops at the school.

Well Stocked 10:gsicon:

Collect special supplies for the Safe Zone

Story Related. You will be driving a food truck around and have to pick up 3 weapon caches. The food truck has a health bar but if you have vehicle invincibility it will stop depleting at around 10%.

Shakedown 10:gsicon:

Interrogate Spec Ops

Story Related. You will have to fight off enemies with Doug in Central City.

Angel Gets Her Wings 10:gsicon:

Chaos Rising DLC

Overview

Achievement Difficulty:3/10

Offline: 9 for 90:gsicon:

Online: N/A

Approximate Time to 90:gsicon: 2-4 Hours

Minimum Number of Playthroughs: 1

Missable Achievements: Yes - Stick it to the Man, The Finer Things, Add to the Collection

Does Difficulty Affect Achievements?: No

Unobtainable/Glitched Achievements?: No

Extra Equipment Needed?: None

Price: $9.99 USD or Free With Season Pass

Collectibles: Yes

Introduction

Go to Untold Stories from the main menu. Select Episode 3 and play on Normal. The higher the level you are the easier the DLC will be. But being max level isn’t necessary. This guide is written as if you have all blueprints (this applies to just crafting). 20 emergency phones, 30 special reserve whiskey, and 12 motorcycles will have to be collected throughout this DLC. It is tedious and a poorly made DLC so be prepared.

Advanced Walkthrough

You start off as a biker named Hunter in a Police Jail Cell. Grab whatever supplies you see on the ground and combine them however you see fit. To the left of the staircase there will be a new item ; The Razorback. Now make your way to the third floor to find the keys. Pick them up and head back down the stairs to the jail cells and you fill find a dimly lit door to the left of the staircase (provided you are facing the stairs). Fight your way to the parking garage and steal the police car. Achievement Unlocked: Fly the Coop.

Upon exiting the garage, you will be able to destroy collectibles. The Emergency Phones can be destroyed by simply driving into them and they show up as a the yellow circle with a dot. Reserve Whiskey shows up as a yellow cross. Now would be a good time to get all of the collectibles in Central City (or the rest of the map). Now head over to the objective. A biker named Spider will tell you to go get some Whiskey. Now we head to Sunset Hills. This is a good time to get the collectibles in this area. Next go the the objective and pick up the whiskey and deliver it to Spider. Surprise, Surprise. Now this is the part where he kills you. Or tires to, defend yourself from the bikers. Defend yourself from some goons and then you get shot. Achievement Unlocked: Throwing Down the Gauntlet. Now you wake up in a dumpster. Head over to your next objective. You won’t have any weapons so pick up what you find. Make sure you pick up the blueprint near torque and make the weapon! The parts and next to the blueprint.

After you listen to some bad dialogue, you’ll be instructed to collect bikes for torque. You need two motorcycles/choppers and one sport bike. Just run around Sunset Hills and you’ll find them. The main road on the southern part of Sunset Hills is where I found some of the bikes. Now is where the only Side Quest comes up. Hoggin’ Hogs. Collect Custom Motorcycles. After collecting all 12 motorcycles, go get Torques bike. When you enter the garage make sure you open the door to the left to get the Whiskey.

Achievement Unlocked: Builder’s Apprentice

IMPORTANT! IF A CUSTOM MOTORCYCLE EXPLODES YOU MUST RESTART THE CHECKPOINT! SAVE AFTER EVERY BIKE!

After delivering Torque’s bike, you will be told to explore for a while. Use this opportunity to get all remaining collectibles except for the locked Whiskey in Ingleton. This includes all 12 custom bikes. Upon being told to go back to Torque you will find yourself a new custom vehicle, the Thrasher. You can still pick up collectibles after getting on the Thrasher, but this is still the best time to get them all. Now go track down all 3 of Spider’s gang members, Razorface, Snake, and Cannon, and kill them for their rings. Each one acts as a boss battle. Use your custom weapons or firearms to quickly dispose of them. For Razorface, utilize the dodge button to avoid his swipes. Snake you just have to chase for a while until he is cornered, then you shoot him. Cannon will be fairly easy to kill. Just follow her and swing at her a few times and she will drop a new weapon called a Hand Cannon. Achievement Unlocked: Hunter and the Hunted. Now head back to Torque. You will see a cutscene with an M. Night Shalamalamadingdong level plot twist. Now you head over to Shavey’s in Ingleton, where you should gain access to your last bottle of whisky when you open the garage door, provided you picked up all other collectibles previously. Achievement Unlocked: The Finer Things. Now get on the Rollerhawg. Achievement Unlocked: Hawg Heaven.

THIS IS THE POINT OF NO RETURN! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL ACHIEVEMENTS EXCEPT FIT TO LEAD!

Drive over to Production Bridge. You will watch a cutscene and get into a fight with Spider. Defeat him by spamming dodges every time he attacks and utilize the items on the ground. The DLC is complete! One more Untold Story to go! Achievement Unlocked: Fit to Lead

Conclusion

You should now have all nine achievements. If you missed anything you will have to play the first part of the DLC again to have access to everything as there is no chapter select.

Stick it to the Man 10:gsicon:

Destroy all Emergency Phones

There are a total of 20 Emergency Phones spread out across the map. These show up as yellow circles on your map and can be destroyed by any means possible including vehichles, which is the suggested method of destruction.

The Finer Things 10:gsicon:

Collect all bottles of Special Reserve Whiskey

There are a total of 30 Special Reserve Whiskey found throughout the map. 28 of them can be collect right off the bat while the other two require “plot” progression. One requires you to open a garage that has Torque’s bike it in (it will be in a separate garage on the left inside of the main lot). The other is after you have collected the rings and you head over to Shavey’s. It will be inside that garage.

Add to The Collection 10:gsicon:

Collect all Custom Motorcycles for Torque

There are a total of 12 Custom Motorcycles that appear on the map. The side quest will appear after you are introduced with Torque. This will take quite a while to do and you should save after each successful return because if a motorcycle gets destroyed, you must restart the checkpoint.

Most are simple to get although one requires you to traverse through a bus station and an underground path.

Fly the Coop 10:gsicon:

Escape Los Perdidos Police Department

Story Related. Can not be missed. See the Walkthrough for details.

Throwing Down the Gauntlet 10:gsicon:

Still confused :(

EDIT: I can't even get onto the roof next to the Almunda garage. How the fook?

Get to the Safehouse just North of the garage by using a big truck parked in the lot behind the Almuda Farms building (it has a big blue sign) to reach a ledge that goes around to the East side of the building where there's a statue collectible. Then walk along a ledge at the front of that building to get to the safehouse. Leave the safehouse through the covered bridge in the South and follow the path until the catwalk thing you're walking on is destroyed, then run/jump off of the catwalk to reach the roof.

I'm wondering if the "The Facts" and "Overtime" Mode can only be gotten if you beat all the psychopaths and do all the "good guy" storyline missions. As in, if you just beat up the guy to get in to see Annie, you can't get "The Facts". But, if you bring the girlfriend to him instead, you could.

On my first playthrough of Normal Mode, I nailed it without even trying. I even ended up skipping almost all of the sidequests and a good chunk of the collectibles/stranded survivors. I was just trying to speed through the game as quickly as possible.

I don't think Overtime can happen unless that Gary guy is alive and kicking in order to inform his boss where you are. I'm pretty sure that's the only prerequisite there would be.

Just like in Dead Rising 2, the only way to get "Overtime Mode" in that was simply to give T.K. some Zombrex. If you didn't give it to him, the mode just didn't happen. I'm pretty sure it's the same here. Just go do the little quest thingie to bring Gary's girlfriend back to him and you get Overtime Mode.

I didn't even realize you could kill Gary...Why would you wanna do that? Does it only happen when he's blocking the door to Annie?

So everyone else is aware, the master builder can be delayed significantly if you play co-op. I had a friend play with me for most of the story and he would help out picking up some of the blueprint plans. Although it did give me credit for having it, (out of 101) it didn't count towards this achievement. Now I have to join his game and pick up some of his to get this achievement...

I also got the master mechanic achievement after creating 10 different combo vehicles. The vehicles blueprint page still says I only have 10/11 but I cannot find the last one anywhere in the entire map. I have completed the entire story with the S rating and have 101/101 of the weapon blueprints.

Hope this helps someone!

Same deal for me with the Vehicle blueprints. I'll add in the builder info.

Well I guess that's where I messed up. Beat all psycos and did kill Gary. So how to u avoid killing him when he is blocking the door??? Glad to know u can replay chapter 7. Great info guys!!!

Yeah, with Gary blocking the door to Annie, he only presents you two options. He says to get past him you have to either get past him, or give him a reason to live. Nick says he will go get his girlfriend, and the objective even tells you to do so. But, if you weren't paying attention or were strapped for time, it's likely you just killed Gary and then missed out on "The Facts" which is simply unlocking Overtime Mode and then missed out on the achievement for beating Overtime Mode.

Yeah, I figured "The Facts" was basically the same as it was in the previous game. It was simply unlocking Overtime Mode. There was then an achievement for beating Overtime Mode as well. Just made sense that it would be the absolute same in this case too. "The Facts" just referring to doing the storyline the right way and being a nice guy, which would unlock Overtime. Then, just beat Overtime and you get the other achievement.

Made sense to me when I finally looked at the list (my first playthrough of the game, I didn't even look to see what my achievements were).

My achievement hunting friend liked the spreadsheet I'd made that listed all the combo and super-combo weapons for easy tracking. If anyone would like to use it, here's a link to it on SkyDrive:

http://sdrv.ms/1hdWQmz

I'm gonna start trying to add all the locations for them, though don't count on it. I'm already done so my drive to do so is waning. lol
