All 3 MK games are Arcade versions of each port and should be the same as they were before. Although UMK3 was delisted from XBLA due to Midway going out of business, it is now back with MK1 and MK2. Controls: is High Punch, is Low Punch, is High Kick, is Low Kick, Block is :rtbut:and Run (UMK3 only) is held while pressing forward. You can also change the button layout in Controls. Move List for all 3 games:http://bit.ly/mWyKFq, of course there is a move list in game. Just hit the button during gameplay. Word of Warning: The MK Kollection is based on the Arcade Ports, not the SNES/Gen(MD) Console Ports, so the AI will be very, very brutal, you have been warned. ---------------------------------------------------- http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1926/+RaJaw==.jpgARCADE KOMPETITOR – 25:gsicon: Finish Mortal Kombat Simply finish MK1, there are a total of 12 matches, 7 being singles, 3 being endurances (2 on 1 handicap matches), and then the boss fights against Goro and Shang Tsung. The Stray
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1926/-c1jzg==.jpgELDER GOD – 15:gsicon: Win 200 Matches Just win 200 Matches in any MK game and in any mode, It can be done both offline/online, the easiest way is just to play UMK 3 Local Versus, and use the P2 25% Kombat Kode 000-707 (P2: Hold:dup:++ 3 times). Or the Sans Power Kombat Kode 044-440. (P1: :abut:x0, :rtbut:x4, :bbut:x4 - P2: :abut:x4, :rtbut:x4, :bbut:x0), the Sans Power code is easier since its just 1 hit and you win the match easily. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1926/-pVrJw==.jpgFLAWLESS X2 – 10:gsicon: All you have to do is get a Double Flawless Victory in any MK game, but its best to do them easily in the first match, but here's an easier way. Load up UMK3, select Sub-Zero and use the Freeze (, , ), then do an uppercut (hold , ) and before your opponent gets up from the ground, freeze him/her again and do another uppercut. Rinse and Repeat... Edited September 1, 2011 by The Stray
Snooch2theBooch
the achievement for beating Mortal Kombat 2 should be worth like 100G lol MK2 is sooo hard
Darkforce412
i only played mk ultimate, mk deadly alliance, mk deception, and mortal kombat 9 but is the second one really that hard?
The Stray
For me, not really, I (cheaply, lol) use Baraka, use his jump kicks and swipe moves to take them down quickly, but for 1st timers, this will take them a while to beat MK2. And then the rest.
BigRaff87
I think pulling the flawless on ranked will be the most difficult of the ten without boosting.

Hanzo Zer0
Seems like you have a general idea of the achievement for this but alot of it seems premature.
T0b3
Yup, somebody seems to not have read the Guidelines.. it requires you to play the actual game AND at least unlock half of the achievements before writing a guide. I can't blame you, though. I myself wrote a guide for Wolf3D weeks before it came out. :>
The Stray
I can see that, but your point is invalid, since I've been playing MK for a long time, so I know what I'm doing and getting my point across at the same time anyway. Also, explain how the colored tiles came in the site just recently? Looks like someone was probably playing a review copy or something, and submitted the colored tiles. Meh, rules are rules. I've said the same when making the Wolf3D guide.
The Stray
Yeah, I've read the fine print, but I'll be getting it soon, not too long now.
T0b3
Yeah, I've read the fine print, but I'll be getting it soon, not too long now. Tomorrow, eh? Can't wait. I just got Bulletstorm but kinda feel more like playing MKAK now, lol. Already loaded up some mspoints on my UK account and ready to go!
Plym
Yeah, I've read the fine print And you ignored it? This guide is terrible and should be closed. You don't even have the Kollection or any of the achievements.
The Stray
Well, I'll be getting it on both systems anyway. And 2. Its not terrible, its pretty much simplified, and I'd rather not make it into a long and boring roadmap/guide when this game is actually easy to 200. A guide must always be written so that even beginners can get into the game. To be more exact, someone who never played MK might not know what a fatality is, etc.
FeLizP
And you ignored it? This guide is terrible and should be closed. You don't even have the Kollection or any of the achievements. Ooh, looks like Stray gets no love for his early posted Mortal Kombat Kollection guide on here. I actually don't have a problem with the guide but I have told you Stray that you should at least wait to post these on the release day of the game, it would have at least given some of the posters here less of a reason to flame you. Similarly to this predicament there was a Sonic Adventure guide posted a week before it was even brought to Arcade last year. Since the game was a re-release it didn't really matter since most people already knew what they had to do to complete the game(similar to this MK title). Regardless, there are rules the site expects us to abide by but sometimes there are perks like the game already being released in the past only this time it's on Live Arcade. Not to mention what T0b3 said about not everyone being familiar with this MK game. This post may be a bit of a bad omen though since the guy that posted that Sonic Adventure guide would not go on to get his stickied or submitted to the main site. Not that the early post had anything to do with it I'm sure. But anyways for future reference make sure you wait to post because if this were a retail game or a title of higher caliber I'm sure the mods would have removed it by now. Just some things to consider. Can't wait to see the full guide Stray and I'm sure there will be other guides to rival yours as well. Let the guide wars begin! The Stray
Alright, I'll know better than to make another guide ON release, but for later, I'll update it to make it more clear, so for now, I'm trying it on PSN so I can see that it will be much the same as the XBLA port. R0B
Correction: There ARE babalitys in MKII.
Ayx
I was going to make one more in depth with different techniques with some of the characters depending on the person's taste. But there's much easier ways to get that Flawless x2 and MKII wins. I'm just waiting to pick it up tomorrow but I don't think having two guides will be necessary. I didn't post one because of the guidelines but oh well. (: Nice start up though. I dig your other guides so it's no biggie.
The Stray
Its alright, I'll add the corrections soon, also, this game does have a move list, and to set your controls as well.
