litepink
Three (hundred thousand) cheers for a legendary achievement hunter, Ryot Control, for hitting 300K recently, and doing so in epic fashion. Ryot Control hit the 100K mark back in February 2009, fittingly with this achievement from The Club: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/328/UPyK5f0=.jpgWelcome to The Club10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.pngWin your first ranked match. Very neat, right? I bet a lot of you are jealous you didn’t think of that one. How would he christen his 200K then? In November 2010 he reached this milestone with THE SAME ACHIEVEMENT http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/603/UP8Qk08=.jpgWelcome to The Club10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.pngWin your first ranked match. With stackable versions of The Club on Xbox 360 and The Club on PC, Ryot Control was able to come full circle by hitting 100,000 and 200,000 with the same achievement! As I watched Ryot Control’s gamerscore rise more and more since then, inching closer to 300,000, it was always in the back of my mind – “What would Ryot do next?” Unfortunately, there are no more versions of The Club that would allow Ryot to get the same achievement three times for three milestones. Or was there a way?? I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Ryot Control hit 300,000 on the nose with: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/885/UPjLMzQ=.jpgWelcome to the Club15 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.pngBuy a combo Oh snap! There's an achievement of the same name in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Congrats Ryot on reaching 300,000 gamerscore in grand fashion once again. I think everyone would agree that Ryot Control is a true asset to the Xbox and achievement communities. Always encouraging, offering insight, helping gamers with achievement solutions, pointing out game deals and an all-round interesting and awesome guy. I haven’t heard a bad thing about the guy, and if someone had something bad to say I wouldn’t listen because I know it wouldn’t be true! CONGRATULATIONS! Skorpion XBA
What happens when there aren't anymore achievements called "Welcome to the Club"? LOL For real though, nice job Ryot and very creative! Keep it up!

Capn Doug
You sir, are a machine. I'm only vaguely aware of the effort you have taken to continue gaming from your present undisclosed location and hopping from unsecured wifi to unsecured wifi on your Windows Phone at another undisclosed location before that. You're a credit to our community.
phatal1ty
Ryot The lengths you went to get a PAL xbox to play that crazy overpriced CE edition of Catherine (and eventually AotM PAL) landed you here in Narnia. Few people are as passionate and mad as you are and fewer still are as much fun... You made me realize all the things I take for granted, and I'm happy to repay you by showing you more of my magical land. *hug* congrats on your big three zero zero kay MWAH! rekikire
Welcome to the Club Ryot. Very well done, quite impressive the planning that has gone into it. A quick check shows there are currently 7 Welcome to the Club achievements so you're fine for the next few years.

Yunder
HOLY SHIT. How in the fuck did I miss this spectacular event? I must have been doing life shit. Gah. I hate life shit. I wish I could just play video games forever. Maybe then I would catch up to you in gamerscore....never mind, that's a stupid assessment. There's no way I'd catch you. You do things in style, Ryot. You got class. Two things I don't got. Anyway. Congrats to you, buddy. I wish I could have been around here earlier and been on time, but better late than never, right? Right? See you around. Ryot Control
Let's just say it wasn't easy this time around. Life can be a real bitch and circumstance likes to do anything in its power to get in the way. But once you pull through, it is one hell of a feeling, isn't it? http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y218/Loveless54321/d93357a2.jpg If I had my way, I would be on a set schedule and spending time with the people who genuinely enjoy my company. But for a guy like me, the big payoff involves doing things that others won't even consider. So life has to adjust, and although there are quite a few things I would love the chance to get a second chance on, I guess I've done fairly alright considering. But this 100k really has been one hell of a roller-coaster ride. If my future self would have told me that my journey would take me around the world to dangerous and exotic lands to meet people with personalities more dynamic than the games that we play, I would have called him a liar. Maybe I read too much into the value of achievements; after all to the rest of the people out there it is just a silly number at face value. But it does serve as a pretty good catalyst that gives players a small taste of what real achievements in life can feel like. It won't be long before I talk about what it took to get these damn timestamps out in the middle of Cavemanistan. I think I'm too concerned about protecting the integrity of my tag, but ahhhh who am I kidding... I do it because its hard, nearly impossible and I want to see if I can do it anyway. I greatly appreciate each and every one of you who has taken the time to drop by to leave a note. Special thanks to Botafogo for your blogpiece and Litepink for this one. If you can spare some time for me, then I will always have time for you. It's going to be tough to come up with something original that hasn't been done yet to keep things light and interesting...but I'll see what I can do. GOOD LUCK.
