Single Player mode questions

I was wondering if anyone could, possibly, any of these questions about the single player Campaign mode?

1. Will Suicide, Persuade, and Backfire be the only abilities that you can use in this mode?

2. Will we be able to purchase new chip upgrades or do they "unlock" as you progress through the game?

3. Will the Campaign mode have separate difficulty settings as Co-Op mode? Or will they be the same?

Let's see...

In the Co-op Demo's loadout screen you can choose from four different unlocked breach-applications and there are 8 more that's locked (you'll have to finish different missions to unlock them).

Similarly Singleplayer will have 12 (or more?) different applications to choose from (some applications may show up in both coop and singleplayer).

Chip upgrades... That I do not know about yet... they might use XP to unlock chip-upgrades in singleplayer as well... but it might be upgrades from mission-objectives... or a mix of both like in Deus Ex. time will tell.

Single vs coop missions.

They've stated that they've had two different groups of developers. one for each mode. they've obviously not been totally isolated from each other... but it wont be like in the Halo games where co-op is exactly the same missions only harder.

Suicide, Persuade, and Backfire are the only 3 available in single player.

2. Will we be able to purchase new chip upgrades or do they "unlock" as you progress through the game?

You get chips at predetermined points in the game, at the end of the game you will have 9 of 17 upgrades.

3. Will the Campaign mode have separate difficulty settings as Co-Op mode? Or will they be the same?

Single player has easy, normal, and hard. Coop has normal, hard and expert.

Thanks for answering my questions. :) I have another question, though.

How is the replayability for the Single Player? Can you re-play missions with the upgrades that you've purchased? Or does it only allow you to use the upgrades that you've purchased to that point?

You have a chapter select menue where you can replay all missions and choose the difficulty. You can re-assign available upgrades, at the beginning of each level in chapter select, that are available so far in the story.

This guy on GAF is part of the way through the game - on Hard - and reckons each (singleplayer) level thus far only lasts for about 15 minutes each. Which would average out to about 4 hours in total if the levels are all of similar length.

So, it's trying to take the crown away from Homefront for shortest single player campaign for an FPS? :)

Can anyone dispute this?

Can't, yet, though he hasn't said how many levels he's done. Based off of Webb's gameplay, seems to be a bit longer. If it was a four hour game he'd probably be through it in less than a day considering he beat it on a difficulty that wasn't "hard" (No "Business is War" achievement).
